It is more fitting to call them Concrete Plastic Surgeons, they took an eyesore and transformed it into a feature. The concrete slab deck on the back of our house is 70 years old. There was a massive crack and many small cracks. The Hartman team has a very special technique for hiding the cracks and making your concrete look new again. HCR worked miracles on my pool deck. When I first spoke with Joe, I didn't really know anything about concrete. I just knew that my old, cracked pool deck looked terrible and was literally falling apart with a crumbling cantilever edge...and I desperately wanted to fix it. However, after years of headaches from dealing with different shoddy home repairs and various sketchy contractors around town, I was incredibly apprehensive about spending time + money trying to tackle my pool deck. I had just about given up hope on finding someone I could trust to do the job right...until a coworker told me about HCR. When I heard a coworker describe the wonderful experience she had with "this great Aussie company" that worked on her patio -- where the owner did a lot of the work and took exceptional care to keep things taped off and clean before, during, and after the job -- I grew curious to get a name and number. After I saw a few gorgeous photos of said patio makeover, I decided to call HCR for a quote. And I'm so, so glad I did!! Joe came to do a quote the next day and put me at total ease in the process. Not only did he actively listen to all my concerns but he also helped me understand my full range of options for repair and clearly explained his recommendations. (I learned a lot along the way!) I ultimately took on his suggestions, and he repaired the pool edge with a special fiber-infused cement. He also sprayed a textured cement overlay over the whole deck and sealed everything with colored waterproof sealer...and I couldn't be happier with how it turned out!! When I look at my pool deck now, I can hardly believe it's the same one that was cracked and crumbling before. I'm absolutely thrilled with the transformation. I received 3 estimates for the work and went with Pristine as the quote seemed very reasonable and Brandon was responsive to questions. The estimate itself was very clear and lined out the specifics of the work down to the PSI of the concrete to be used as well as the size and spacing of the rebar.
