History

Established in 2005.

We have been designing for many years, starting with artwork throughout our school years. In 1999 we got married, our hearts already set on business ownership in the future. After working for "the man" for several years, in 2005 we launched a small newspaper featuring local entertainment and things to do around the area. The paper was around for about two years, but health & family issues caused us to hang it up. We continued doing freelance design work, and in December 2013 Stahr Design became an LLC. In 2017 we changed our name to Stahr Media to better reflect the wide range of work we do. While the majority of our projects are web and print design, we do so many other things, as well. Have a design or technology project in mind and don't see anything related in our portfolio? Contact us to find out how we can help!

Meet the Business Owner: Nathan and Janel S.

Nathan has an associate's degree in art and a bachelor's degree in information technology with a focus on web development. He also has many years of customer service experience in the restaurant industry. Besides owning Stahr Media, he also works full-time as the technology director for Prophetstown-Lyndon-Tampico CUSD #3. Janel has her bachelor's degree in multimedia design & development with a focus on web design. She has many years of related experience, having worked for and with local newspapers and a magazine publisher before starting the business. Janel manages day-to-day operations at Stahr Media, doing everything from business planning and management to design and technology work.

The downside was the communication, timing and pricing. Had to pull out of the staff over and over again the status of the orders and prototypes to review. Barely made the deadline. Boxes were shipped to recipients a couple of days prior to the event when we were promised they would be sent out 2 weeks in advance. Whenever I called the main line or the contacts' direct lines, never got through to anyone. Might use them again.

Janel and her team are TERRIFIC! They have been managing my sites for many years. It is comforting to know you have a TEAMMATE who wants your success as much as you do. I know when I ask for their help with any of my sites the work will get done in a timely manner and look really nice!!!! I HIGHLY recommend Janel and Stahr Media. p.s. I am on the west coast so, they can work with anyone in the U.S. read more
