Kids are mean, teachers only care about the kids who HAVE a future in dance and have been with them for a long time. I understand in dance there are "Clicks" and all, but teachers should NOT be apart of them. Please, I encourage you, if you would like to put your child in dance, DO NOT COME HERE! This was my daughter's first year dancing with Amyclae. She danced for a different company last year and the year before in Chesterfield so we definitely have something to compare it to. I guess you could say the weekly classes were acceptable however for a 45min/once a week dance class... they sure did take a lot of breaks. Sometimes their class would end early. Anyway, back to the recital.. I have no words. My daughter's class performed for 1min 22 sec (yes, I used my stopwatch the entire time and I have screenshots) out of a 2hr recital. By far the shortest performance of the evening. Also, their music was chopped up and distorted. There were about 4-5 other groups who also had very short performances however most (there were 41 routines) were over 2min 30sec and others were over 3min long! The toddlers who had no clear routine (although they were very cute) had close to 3min of stage time. These girls were robbed. I feel robbed. I spent hundreds on this recital just for my my daughter to have a botched show. The song they danced to in it's original format was only 2min 28sec long so there was no reason for their music to be shortened at all. If time was an issue, some of the other groups who had over 3min should have been shortened to make it more equal or maybe the staff shouldn't have done a performance. I'm sorry but paying families should come before the staff at a recital. That's just good customer service. We had family travel in from out of town and they were all shocked by the quality. If convenience is what you're looking for, it's perfect however if you want to get your money's worth seek out a different company.

She hasn't looked back since her first class! Ms. Anna (her instructor) is so patient but firm, a great combo for four- and five-year-olds. They've learned super cute choreography for the upcoming recital, so the littles can feel just as accomplished as their older counterparts. And not only that, but the studio is incredibly body-positive. I'm a large woman myself, and Sarah, the owner, encouraged me to try lyrical or ballet with my color guard and winter guard background. I've only been going a few weeks, but Danielle (the instructor) and other students are phenomenal, supportive, and encouraging in my own journey of dance. The last part that I am grateful for is that the prices are not outrageous, and when there's a change Sarah is quick to communicate with parents. Other local studios charge insane fees, even for their classes and students who are not a part of the competitive teams - but RMDC doesn't do that, and for that I'm grateful. All the instructors are great but I want to shout out our instructor, Jason. He is extremely patient, gives honest feedback, and is encouraging. When you can't dance it is similar to public speaking, when you get nervous you feel almost sick, and the embarrassment can be overwhelming, but I've never felt that while learning. Sometimes there are other people there waiting to start their lessons so they're watching, but it doesn't matter, you get lost in the learning and it's soooo much fun. This is an amazing dance studio, but here's a word to the wise if you don't practice you won't get better. There's only so much a few lessons a month can do. Get the best out of your money and take those lessons out for a spin (literally, we spin a lot). Wear comfy shoes and don't waste anymore time, this is the place to learn.

DivaDance is such a wonderful community, and every class is such a comfortable and judgement free zone (which is important when you are throwing it down and shamelessly trying new moves & choreo). DivaDance has been amazing for my work-life balance, and for pushing my homebody self to step away from my computer, get moving / trick my body into exercising, and meet new people!! I got the 7:50pm cause the time posted was 8pm class, but apparently it would start at 8:30pm. People did their own "stretching". As soon as the class started the with choreographer begin with his first step. He gave a good class but not the usual type of classes I attend to in the Philippines. They usually start with an intro about the piece and what to focus on when doing the class which eventually came up during my class here. The technique and choreography is good. :)
