They actually take the time to contact you if you seem like a good fit, if they find work you may like, and even if there are some concerns. They're just easy to talk to and to work with. After you go through the initial song and dance to see if you are a good candidate for employment, it's all down-hill gravy from there... or maybe it's just gravy. The staff is super friendly and understanding. And the best part is that they helped me find several temporary jobs that I liked and would never have found on my own. Then they did something awesome - after a while of me taking a break and working outside of their employment basis, they managed to find me my very first "foot-in -the-door" job INSIDE my field that I went to college for! They don't normally have creative type of work to dole out, but they pin-pointed one just for me! That job was the best place I ever worked for, and I'm happy to say I'm still working in my field. A small boutique agency that really toes the extra mile. Sue was so nice to work with, she really kept me in the loop every step of the way. I met her in person at the office. The process was easy. I love that they use ADP and I can electronically put in my hours from home or at work. I'm not sure of the prior experience of a prior disgruntled employeewith her issues with pay but my experience is you get your hours in by the deadline, you get paid on time. If you don't, you have to wait until the next pay period. I've never had any issues with my pay from them but I always report on time and they send a nice reminder out to you as well! The only negative is that they don't offer benefits for a temp assignment but I was converted quickly to a perm employee so I have benefits via the company.

After they are completed, the agent calls me in on my birthday, where I already had plans that day, and post poned them to come in for a formal interview. He hands me a bunch of papers to sign, and wanted three references of people, including my Driver's License number, and tells me, I'm submitting everything tomorrow. It looks good. All temp or contract companies do this. They all differ in how much their take is and other details. This company has been the worst experience for me. From the first day when they are trying to place you at a company to the last day of your contract they are shiesty. If you do enlist their service.. please make sure to read about all of your benefits. Many people don't and the recruiters make it a point not to tell you about any advantages available. Also know that the hourly pay is negotiable. Here they will offer you the lowest. For example, say Acme needs administrative support. They pay Pro Staff $18/hour. Pro Staff may tell you, Acme is willing to pay you $12/ hour. Which means, Pro Staff is getting $6/hour. Acme pays your temporary company and they pay you. The hourly rate really depends alot on how much experience you have. But even the most experienced people get bullshit hourly rates from these shiesty ass pirates. Other staffing companies tend to pay much higher. If you are thinking of trying temporary work, staffing groups, etc, talk to people in the industry and get some info first. It would behoove you to do so. On another note, the recruiters, not all of them, but some are douche bags. See at times, they need to check up on you, to see how you are doing. Most of the time, I don't recall that happening. As long as they are getting their cut, they don't give a rats ass. Just like any job, someone has to make sure you are doing your work and representing the temp company in a positive light. Its how they check up on their staff which is truly stupid.
