The underground setting seems appropriate for a jazz bar, as that music was once banned and had an underground following in Germany. There was live music performed the night I visited, which I thoroughly enjoyed. From my understanding, there is live music regularly and slam poetry nights. Drinks were a bit pricey, which is why I stuck to drinking beer that night. I'd recommend checking out this bar at least once even if jazz music and poetry are not really your thing.

At night, especially on the weekend, the bar gets full, but it does not get obnoxiously over packed with bar hoppers. It's within walking distance of Jahnplatz, the train station and other bars.
