Honestly I didn't know too much about it other than it involved underground bunkers, always interesting. We met at the assigned time and place, easy to find thanks to the map provided by the helpful info office employee. As the only English speaking guests on this particular tour, we were provided with handheld speakers to use. The funny and boisterous tour guide informed us he would be telling us which number to use at each stop so we wouldn't miss any info provided, although he really did a good job of using both English and German throughout the tour. Down we went into the depths below the city to wander tunnels and rooms apparently used as both liquor and pickle storage, as well as bomb shelters at various points in Nuremberg history. The tour lasted about an hour before we emerged up and onto the grounds of the whiskey/beer distiller who apparently sponsors the tour. Everyone who wanted to partake was provided a mug of beer made right on site to cap off the adventure. Overall it was pretty fun and informative. While it wasn't the most epic tour I've ever taken, it (and the guide) were definitely entertaining...especially considering the low ticket price.

And I have to say- it really is THAT good. Such a unique experience and a great way to see a different side of Rothenburg. The tour guide was a highlight; He kept our entire group of ~15 engaged for the duration and was very knowledgeable. The history of the town is very interesting, and it really is incredible how it has withstood the test of time. The tour is affordable at around 10€ and an hour long. English speaking and no reservation needed. You just meet in the main square at 8pm and wait for a cloaked man to show up (Lol). Bundle up because it can get chilly! The tour started at 8pm in front of the steps to the town hall in the main market (Marktplatz). There was a large crowd when we got there (expected with the Christmas Markets though also surprised with the cold weather) at about 60-70 people. For the hour, the tour is a suggested €8 per person which you pay at the end. There are also non-English versions that can be found on the website for time & location. The tour did require walking but not a lot, we strolled from the Marktplatz down the main road and then outside the west gate and then back with multiple stops and stories along the way. You'll learn a lot of history of this medieval city and also have many laughs along the way. The night watchman was a great story teller and had a lot of tips along the way for your remaining time in Rothenberg. Don't miss this tour on your trip and if possible do earlier in your time here.

We joined Tyler and Shawn for the Neuschwanstein Castle Bus and Bike Tour . What an amazing…read moreexperience from the information Tyler and Shawn gave us along the beautiful country side on our 2 hour bus ride to our first destination were we disembarked for a ride to a nice lakeside beach. Shawn was off the dock and in the cool water first , watching over us as we dove into the lake . What a refreshing swim. Tyler was leading the bike ride on the small road back as Shawn followed bring ing up the last of us safely.Tyler also watched over us to make sure we all arrived to our fabulous lunch at the roadhouse style restaurant. It was competitively priced with other tour…read morecompanies in the area, but because it met at the Marienplatz, I chose this company because it was only a 10 min walk from our hotel. We met our tour guide Jon and 5 others joined the tour as well. The tour price included the fare on the lightrail and bus to get to Dachau. It was really nice to not have to worry about the times and connections. Not that it would have been a huge deal, but when on vacation, I like to worry less about logistics. Jon was very knowledgeable and I am so glad that I did use InMunich Tours because it was nice to have someone talk about the key points of the Dachau Memorial.
