Very old historic hotel run by an older couple. The lady was kind and did a nice job laying out…read morebreakfast on tables with full place settings. Her husband however had a quick temper & was rude.
The Elizabeth room faced the Melk Abbey. There was too much light in the windows at night from the Abbey and the blue light from the tv was especially bright when trying to sleep.
They didn't have night stands on both sides of the bed to place your cell or personal items.
No place to put your suitcase.
Too many knickknack things in the rooms. Tons of Teddy bears, fuzzy heart shaped red pillows on the bed, ceramic Great Dane dog on the stairs, plastic flowers, & too many accessories everywhere.
*NO soap, shampoo or gel in the shower.
Towels were clean but old & needed to be replaced.
No ice in the hotel.
No wifi signal in the rooms.
2 odd sets of keys for the room. One for the door. One for the lights.
Cleaning staff was excellent.
