Order the Marillen knodel which is the apricot dumpling. It's made to order so there's a little wait. Well worth it. This restaurant is located on a cute street in Melk. Don't know about the rest of the menu/service etc. but this was worth the visit specifically for the apricot dumpling. Not really sweet. Very pleasant small restaurant. There were several options for vegetarians, including spinach, mushroom & cheese pierogi. The pierogi were perfectly prepared with freshly made pasta and served with an excellent salad of micro greens and fresh vinaigrette. My mate's fried chicken with potato salad and greens was excellent as was the local Riesling chosen by our waiter Peter who was fluent in English. read more
