The Jumbo is actually huge for a Jumbo, but compared to the AH, it seems smaller, a bit dated too. The mall has a nice Pets Place in the -1 floor, a sleek Hema next to it with a little food kiosk at the entrance. The Gelderlandplein is actually elegant and swanky. There is also a large interior courtyard where you can have lunch, dinner or drinks at multiple cafes and restaurants! This is really worth visiting if you want to get away from the mayhem of the centrum of Amsterdam.

There is underground parking and also parking lots and street parking nearby. Overall a good mix of shops and restaurants. There is also free art inside the mall to look at. I purchased the perfume for €268, I usually wear Chanel, Roja, Carolina Herrera, so I am familiar with luxury fragrances. The sales consultant was very pleasant and even gave me a complimentary Estée Lauder makeup bag and a small La Mer sample by the way, the skincare is excellent. This made me fully confident that my purchase was handled correctly. However, after returning to the UK and opening the box a few days later, I was shocked to discover that I had been sold a different fragrance -- Aerin Le Soir, instead of Le Jour, which I had selected! At the time of purchase, I did not notice the difference, as the packaging was pink and I trusted both the consultant and the store completely. Imagine walking into a beautiful store in a great mood, purchasing an expensive perfume, and later realizing you received something entirely different from what you chose. This completely ruined my mood and my overall shopping experience. I contacted customer support via WhatsApp, hoping for a resolution, but unfortunately the outcome was far from what I expected. There were no apologies from the store, and I was denied both an exchange and a refund on the grounds that the perfume had already been opened. I would like to thank Maya for at least forwarding my case to the store. It feels as though customers are valued only at the moment of purchase. When a genuine issue arises on the store's side, responsibility is avoided, leaving the customer with money wasted.

You can buy almost anything at the airport, from handy travel accessories and stylish sunglasses, to Dutch cheese and quality perfumes." Dutch grocer Royal Ahold (Stop & Shop in the US) has two stores here and everything is located outside the security area of the terminal It is very near the baggage claim area. Also the Train Station into Centraal Amsterdam is just outside and easy to find.

Easily accessible from Amsterdam by train or bus...there is everything here from Kiosks, restaurants, bars and even a Nespresso store! Of course there is an Albert Heijn as well. I actually come here from Amsterdam to do some shopping sometimes. Just a quick 12 minute train ride....lots of fun vibes to be in an airport PRE-security. Another big plus are free bathrooms. Access to 12 or more train platforms underground so you can go anywhere in The Netherlands from here. Usually the first thing you see when leaving the airport and arriving to Amsterdam.

Quite a few big names have locations here including Albert Heijn, Subway and JD Sports, most of these streets did seem decent, and there is a market area too. A lack of information guides / general staff around was a slight problem, at first, it could even be hard to tell you are in something which is a "shopping centre", and they don't seem to have a mall guide which they really are missing, especially as this is the largest shopping centre in Amsterdam. Amsterdamse Poort's location is decent, being close to the Railway Station and the Amsterdam ArenA, but the location, of course, could make it a place to avoid on an event day, as I can only presume it gets hectic. Amsterdamse Poort adds to the feel of the Amsterdam ArenA reminding me of Wembley, as this just feels like a larger Wembley Park in a way (London Designer Outlet etc) Decent place to shop while in Amsterdam as long as it isn't an event-day, not without its' flaws but remains easy to get to via public transport (train and metro) so I do feel a three-star rating is deserved here!

You have grocery stores, clothing stores, electronics, jewelry, body stores, almost anything you could look for. It's a maze, but it has good aesthetics, is clean, and there are maps. I would just go for an afternoon stroll with maybe a snack at the Cinnabon (http://www.yelp.com/biz/cinnabon-amsterdam-zuid-oost)--I'm a sucker for those cinnamon buns!

Unfortunately shops are only open until 6pm and closed on Sundays (with the exception of AH XL). The first Sunday is koopzondag and all the shops are open, but otherwise there is only the AH. On Wednesdays and Saturdays, there is a local market outside which has a variety of food and stuff such as clothes and random things like tools and bike accessories. TIP: If you park in the garage and buy something at AH, they will give you 1€ discount for parking; just show them your parking ticket when you check-out.
