Revisited this salon recently. Very expensive for quality of service. The deluxe pedicure was not worth it and i still don't understand how a buff manicure could cost so much. Just be aware of the prices. read more

Ignore all the bad reviews about Stacy, because new owners took over May 2022 and they are great! Very kind people and so enjoyable to chat with and be around, and got the best dip manicure I've ever gotten. No complaints on pedicure either. Average to below average on price too. Well...here's another post on the rudeness of the owner, Stacy. I had been a customer for a number of years and had sort of ignored her tone, which definitely had an edge. Until she lit into me one day when I was delayed because my Dr. Appointment ran late. Sorry, but the world doesn't revolve around Ms. Stacy. Went across the street and at least have polite people to interface with. This is a small town...I don't know how they will survive the continued bad press from so many people. NEVER AGAIN!!! I had heard not-so great things about this salon and it's owner but, being new to NH I figured I'd give it a try. Big mistake!! Stacy, the owner is even nastier than I've heard. She has no desire to even bother to make polite chit chat as she does your nails. Much less listen to you when you make a request or try to ask her a question!! I have an old injury to my thumbnail that makes it grow crooked, so when applying new tips you MUST first put acrylic in the deep dip in the natural nail or the acrylic nail just won't stay on. Ok is this after having acrylic nails for many, many years. She refused to do it and told me that "She knows what she's doing" I again explained that the tip will fall off without it, she then informed me that "she was the owner, she knew what to do, she's been doing this a long, Long time"......Clearly she was annoyed that I was telling her what needed to be done. After that discussion, she got very aggressive in her filing, cuticle pushing. Etc. to the point where she actually cut the cuticles on three fingers and caused bleeding. I was telling her that she was hurting me and she didn't even acknowledge my words but kept talking to her Husband in their language that I could not understand. My nails came out terrible!!! Filed crooked, polish was crooked and sloppy. I had also made an appointment for a salon Pedicure for that same time but told her I would not be keeping that appointment as I was uncomfortable and unhappy. She and her husband both started shouting at me about taking up an appointment time and not using it and that they were going to charge Me for the Pedicure appointment anyway because I didn't cancel it prior to the appointment time! Of course I didn't cancel it prior, I cancelled it when I saw how terrible they are. Paid cash so they could charge my card for the pedicure and no I didn't leave a tip!!! Bad business people, bad people all around. Sloppy work from an "Owner" who hates people and doesn't want to be bothered!!! Needless to say, the crooked thumbnail came off the second day, As I knew it would. I went to it repaired at another New London Nail salon I passed on my way to Stacy's. It's called COCO NAILS and it's in the plaza directly across from Hannifords. Also Husband/wife owned but their work is flawless, they offer you free soda, water, coffee, etc. and make pleasant conversation with you as they work on you! I've got all my friends going to COCO NAILS now so they can get a good job done and not be treated badly by nasty Stacy!! . read more

I cannot get past the rudeness Stacy exhibited ! She behaves like she's doing the customer a favor even being there . The nails are as good as most salons ,but overpriced . The pedicure was nothing special, as the tech was not attentive in the massage and painful in filing .. More like hurried to get it over with . The business doesn't take any kind of cards . I made an appointment for a pedicure and then read the reviews on YELP and got scared. I read good ones on Google, so I went. I have no complaints; the owner's husband was the one who did my nails. I really wanted to like this nail salon. However, due to the uncleanliness of the nail stations, and shop I will never go back. The nail tech wanted to file my nails with a used nail file. The bowl they soaked my fingers in looked dirty. The overall finish of my manicure was nice but the experience and cleanliness weren't worth it. read more

I have never encountered such a RUDE business owner, both on the phone and in person. Stacy was just awful. I almost walked out, but my nails were in bad shape and I needed them done. I figured I could deal with the rudeness if the manicure was good. Her husband, Danny, did my actual manicure. He was friendly and pleasant, and the manicure looks nice. I would have only given it one star if it weren't for Danny. I just hate giving my money to nasty people who don't appreciate their customers. He needs to fire his wife! I was running late for a pedicure appointment and called to let them know and make sure they could still take me. After I said I would be there in 8 to 10 minutes I was told it was fine. When I walked in I was told I was too late they could not take me. I understand if they have another appointment however they should have told me before I drove there. NOT THE ONLY PLACE IN TOWN ANYMORE !! Thank god! I have visited this nail salon before as it has been the only option in New London and I was not impressed then. Today however an honest mistake was made when I made an appointment, I ended up at the new Nail Salon in town. (Coco Nails) When Stacy Nails associate / owner called to confirm appointment (9am apt time it was 9:10) I told her I would be right there as I was sitting at the other nail salon in town. Less then two min later she called back and called me rude telling me to not bother coming in that she gave my appointment to someone else. At this point I'm sure she didn't realize I was already there at her place of business staring at her empty nail salon as she was leaving her nasty message. Needless to say this business owner is incredibly rude and short tempered. Will never be using this location again. Coco Nails owners were friendly and accommodating and were able to see us immediately. They did a great job and I love their products. Now that there are two nail salons in town I suggest that all town residents and visitors use Coco Nails: 603-526-6686. Avoiding the short tempered Staci Nail salon.
