I was after accommodation and flight times that would be safe for a woman travelling alone, and Jamaal (the store manager) was patient with me and understanding of my concerns. I could only drop by at late hours (past 5pm) after work, which was when Student Flights was also set to close, and Jamaal was willing to stay back past closing hours until everything was booked. I even caught him stepping out once for lunch and he stayed back even though I insisted he go grab something to eat! This place can get very packed at certain hours, particularly during lunch breaks, Friday nights, and weekends. So be sure to pop in early on a week day if you don't want to be waiting around, unless you like reading masses of travel brochures. But all up I've never had such great service from a travel agency before. I'm definitely going back for the next trip I book.

She was AMAZING!…read more She took the time to make sure we had exactly what we wanted for a trip to Port Douglas and asked us to come back to her for any feedback we had, which we did. Overall, we had a lovely experience in Port Douglas with only a few things that were, well, awful. She immediately looked into getting those items if not fixed, at least removed from their listings. She was incredible and we highly recommend her!

I went in there over excited, ill prepared, and had only the vaguest idea of what I wanted. When the consultant asked me the most simple of questions "When do you want to fly?", I had to ask for a calendar, consult my phone, and spend ten minutes faffing about while she patiently waited. She was cool, calm collected in response to me being hyperactive. I walked away that day with a departure and return date chosen, and had a good idea about how much it would cost me. For days afterward, I would open my emails to find messages from her alerting me to cheaper flights she'd found and alternative options that I should look at. When I had to change my flights due to a problem with the airline, she bombarded me with texts, emails, and voicemails until I responded. I appreciated how she acted with urgency. I felt totally secure about every part of my travelling plans that she had played a hand in. I was able to reach her while overseas when I needed to confirm some details, and she always replied promptly to my emails. I would recommend Student Flights to anyone going anywhere. Student or not.

I have not done much traveling since I was a kid and my parents booked and paid for me (miss you…read moreparental dependency), so when my husband and I decided it was time to start planning a month long trip to the U.S. at the end of the year, I discovered that I'm actually terrified of booking holidays! Initially we went to Flight Centre just to get some magazines to figure out where we wanted to see and we were going to book everything ourselves online, but we were informed by one of the lovely travel agents that my work receives a 10% discount for all accommodation through them and we decided it was worth changing our plans. We also discovered how much less stressful it was for someone else to go hunting for the good deals and areas of unknown cities. Our travel agent Shelley has since spent weeks off and on, answering stupid questions and getting better rates on hotels than I could find online, and has been a great constant in our lives. We have finally finished booking our trip and I honestly don't know how we would have done it without Shelley. Ok so I may have some dependency issues to work on, but all I can say is we felt well looked after and our trip is exactly what we wanted.

He also repeated important dates for us, so when our tour ended, we were able to retain this new info! We enjoyed a trip up the city hall belltower, a ferry ride, a nice coffee break all in between the 3 hours walking the beautiful city. Highly recommend! PS - had I known he wouldn't accept a cash tip we would have bought him coffee!

We typically do a tour like this when we first land in a city to get a feel of the area and she did just that as well as learning some other fun facts you typically would not know just walking by a place.
