I always feel like I'm bound to get sicker than actually get well when I come in for a check-up. I was really surprised with my experience at Healthway Medical in Greenbelt. First off, as a medical clinic inside a mall, I had low expectations. So was very happy that they provided such good service, even better than most big hospitals. You come in and it's easy to talk to the people there to find out what the steps are. If you are a new patient, you will be directed to a computer kiosk where you can enter your patient information - very modern! Then proceed to the counter where they will ask you want you what kind of doctor you need. There was less than 5 minutes of waiting time before I was escorted to the doctor's clinic by one of the staff. The doctor was very thorough with the check up and I was satisfied with the result of the treatment. Next time you need medical advice, I would highly recommend seeking it at Healthway Medical. The service there really made me smile.

I was very privileged to have experience the Healthway VIP treatment - there's a separate waiting room with TV (woohoo) and comfy coaches. Tip: make sure you bring a book or a game to play. There's always a lot of people here so you could be waiting and waiting. Also make sure to bring a bottle of water so that when the time comes and you need urine sample, you can easily give it. The whole place is well ventilated, it sometimes gets too chilly for me so I always make it a point to bring a jacket! The doctors here are very nice and super helpful - just ask away and they will try their best to answer you.

I was so scared of ending up dying due to anaphylactic shock (don't be so impressed; I just learned this from House) that I decided I needed to see a doctor, stat! The staff at the E.R. of Pasay City General Hospital (not to be mistaken as THE PGH) were thankfully very accommodating. They confirmed that I was indeed exhibiting allergy symptoms. I was asked to buy medicine from the pharmacy across the street (they're a public hospital after all, let's be real and not expect too much, haha) and to come back to the E.R. so they can inject it to me. I dutifully complied. After that, I was made to wait for around 30 minutes so they can observe my reaction to the medicine. I became sleepy, which I was told was a usual side effect of antihistamine. After seeing no untoward reaction, they sent me home. I did not need to pay anything else. I've made several trips to that E.R. since, all for food allergies, and I haven't had any problems with their service. I was attended to fast, even during times when the E.R. was crowded with patients. The staff have also always been cordial. And their facilities are not too shabby either.

Having a MediCard means that I can visit almost all the MediCard clinics. I chose to visit this one. At first I thought it was just a little clinic where they run test. Then I found out that they also have their own doctors and their own complete facilities. Because I just have my tests done here, I can't tell you who's good and who's great. But, every time I see a patient leaving after a consultation looks at ease and looks hopeful. The doctors must be good. A lot of people come to this place. It can fill up right away especially in the morning. I suggest that you give them a call and set an appointment early so that you won't have to wait in line.

But he still eventually passed. When we reviewed the drugs he was given when we were settling the bill, we noticed that they went behind our backs and gave him Remdesivir anyway. And with multiple doses per day too. In the end, his main cause of death was from septic shock due to kidney failure.

I paid for this by contracting a new and more virulent strain of dengue and bringing it to Manila, where I got sucked by another mosquito, which then bit my sister. So both of us ended up with dengue in Metropolitan Hospital, trying our best not to bleed out of our eyes and die. My sister only had second-degree dengue so she got off easy. I, on the other hand, was so close to dying I got sad looks from the nursing staff. My platelet count dropped to 4 -- context: normal number is 300. I wasn't allowed to brush my teeth because if my gums bleed, the bleeding won't stop and I'll die. The best part of that experience was that the whole hospital rallied to save me. The doctors were there for me, the nurses kept sneaking me Jell-O, and some of the staff even donated blood so I wouldn't have to pay for the blood bank. In the end, I survived, and it was thanks to the wonderful people in this hospital.
