While recently coming to the surgery center for my husband's procedure, I experienced just that. The staff were attentive to us while my husband waited to go back for his surgery, and they even kept me updated with his progress by text which was very reassuring. I didn't know that would be an option. Before surgery, my husband's surgeon even said a quick prayer for us. Because we are religious, it really meant a lot to us that he did. I feel that Community always delivers on their motto and I would not hesitate returning here again if need be. Kudos.

These patients sing praises about Forte, from the doctors to the nurses to the efficient people at the front desk. From a visitor's point of view, Forte is great. They are very straightforward with their instructions, which I appreciate. Just tell me what to do and what to expect, and I'll do it and expect it. Everything went pretty much according to what they said. They have a smoothly running system here. Visitors can help themselves to the unlimited coffee and water at the coffee and water station. This is where the Little Free Library is located! The waiting room also has multiple seating arrangements, from high-top desks to comfy chairs to love seats. Or, if you need something to eat or drink, there's a cafe on the first floor. (See my separate review for La Verna Cafe.) The waiting room is airy and bright. One thing that's kinda weird is that a "cruise director" comes and talks about what to expect with your surgery ... right in the waiting room, among all those random people. That seems unusual, right? However, there are private rooms that you're taken to when the time comes to talk about your particular case with the doctor. As a visitor who is not a patient, Forte is great. But I've been told that it's also great being a patient here, so there's that.

I went in while experiencing a miscarriage. I arrived at 7pm and was told that an ultrasound tech…read morewas on call and had already been called due to another patient experiencing the same symptoms that I was and needing an ultrasound as well. I was told that once the tech was called, she had an hour to report in so it may be a wait. From about 8pm when I was moved to the ER side (apparently required due to needing an ultrasound), I was left in the room and would leave to go out in the hallway and check in with nurses to find out when I would be seen or any updates on the tech arriving. I did this about every half hour since I had been previously told she had an hour to report in. The tech finally saw me at 12am. During the ultrasound, she had constant phone notifications sounding off and distracting her from the procedure. At one point, she had me (the patient) hold the transvaginal probe inside of my body so that she could respond to her phone. I was already quite distressed due to the nature of going through a miscarriage, and this made it much worse. The cherry on top was the bill I received. $3400 (after insurance claims). $2000 of this portion was just due to having to check into the ER (to not be seen whatsoever) but just to have the ultrasound in that ER room. Just beware before coming here. The doctors and nurses are kind, but "on call" does not mean much to the techs. Also, beware that you will end up paying thousands if you step foot into their ER (even if no testing or care is done via ER services).

She told me she could make this appointment for this day at 2:05 at this Artistry location. I get here and they tell me that my appointment was set for my regular doctor nearly 30 minutes away. I'm very clearly upset and in pain and this receptionist proceeds to comment "girrrrl, rawr" and ask me if I want an appointment for Monday. After that comment, I shook my head no and proceed to walk out.

Even though I am just beginning my recovery, I have a long way to go. The first day was an essential day for me, and want to give a glorious shout out to Lisa Reed. She was my recovery nurse with an upbeat attitude and made me feel as comfortable as I possibly could be. She is extremely knowledgeable and set the pace for my attitude towards wanting to get healthy.
