Organization is a bit cattywampus but no worse than many other they stores. The whole place has a cozy vibe and it supports a worthy cause, a DV shelter in Marquette.

Like Eric P says, this is indeed a good one. Set back from the main road not far from Wal-Mart and other smaller mall stores and restaurants, it may be a little hard to spot with the hilly terrain of Houghton. Inside, it's not a cluttered resale shop but more like a department store in its arrangement. We've found clothes for our kids that are perfectly clean and wearable. There's also lots of shirts and sweaters and plenty of sports logo wear, assuming you're into the Green bay Packers and Michigan-based institutions. I like the fancy pattern sweaters with wild colors and a Goodwill is the place to find them for cheap. Someone else's closet-fodder can be my winter wardrobe. The toy section is a bit run-down, more like a poor yard sale, but it kept our kids occupied while we shopped the store without them nagging and misbehaving. Seems we always leave this place with something good on our vacations up north.

The dresses are mostly new vintage like pieces and they are gorgeous and will be perfect for cocktail dresses, weddings, and any other dress up event. A little pricey for my taste, but everything that I have gotten from there over the past couple years has lasted. Throughout the store they have home goods and some of them are in mint condition. They have a corner for vintage handbags and if you are looking for a unique piece you will find it here. Last trip I got the most beautiful pair of sunglasses and they were very affordable and well made. Their selection of sunglasses and old vintage frames is small but beautifully curated. Assistant manager was very rude when we were attempting to donate items. Two different families…read morewere stacking up their bags and boxes of donatable items and when we rang the doorbell for pickup, the assistant manager came out and roundly berated us for "dumping", saying that we should know to ring the bell first and wait for his arrival. He swore and kept pounding his finger on a "No Dumping" sign taped to the back door. We were standing right there and rang the bell. St. Vincent's in Iron River can kiss off- I'll take my donations to Crystal Falls where they realize that donations are what make them possible.

They also advertise that you can make an offer on any furniture that's been for sale more than 30 days, and on the multiple occasions that I've tried to do that, I'm constantly told that "the price was just lowered". Why advertise that you accept offers if you don't? Go there for the clothes and other assorted knick knacks - not the furniture.
