After doing several tours at different daycare facilities, we found Little Creek to be the best fit. The facility is open, clean and organized. The entire staff is friendly and very easy to talk to. They are attentive to our child and provide us with daily updates. Verna, the director, is always available via call or text whenever we need to reach out. Our son receives daily one-on-one therapy sessions from Early Intervention and ABA. The staff has been amazing and very accommodating to our child's schedule. Even his therapists have noticed the positive changes in our son since attending Little Creek Academy. I highly recommend Little Creek Academy for your child if you are currently seeking a daycare facility!

He was four years old when he started, so preparation for kindergarten and socialization with other preschoolers was key. I have seen him gain so much self condidence and independence. He runs in his classroom each day eager to meet his friends. It is so cute to see. At the end of the day, he is never ready to leave. He's having so much fun. This is our last month at Shrewsbury Children's Center and I will miss the all teachers and staff. I feel my child has had a wonderful learning experience at this school and would highly recommend it for children of any age. He is ready and excited to be starting Kindergarten in the fall.

Our infant care programs provide a safe and nurturing environment for your infant while you are at work. The staff provides care based on your child's individual needs, temperament, and schedule. Shrewsbury Children's Center (SCC) is a family-owned and operated center offering a variety of early learning programs. The business was established in 1982 as a preschool program, but soon expanded to include full day care for preschoolers and toddlers. To ensure that your questions or concerns are immediately addressed, the owners are on location every day. During your child's time with us, the staff observes the classroom and deals with any issues that arise. One of our center's most notable milestones was in 1997, when we were named the leading agency for new community partnership for children's programs by the Massachusetts Department of Education. Our new title led to new responsibilities, including administering funds to improve quality and affordable child care and education programs in collaboration.

If I could give zero stars I would…read more My son attended Strawberries Early Learning Center for just two days and in that short time I witnessed clear signs of neglect and unprofessionalism that no parent should ever experience. On the first day he was sent home in a full diaper despite me providing diaper ointments and clearly stating in the enrollment forms and verbally that he has extremely sensitive skin. By the second day he came home with a severe painful diaper rash with peeling skin. I was heartbroken. When I calmly raised my concerns to the director instead of taking accountability or even expressing concern for my child's health she retaliated and removed my son from the daycare on the spot. As I was leaving she clapped her hands at me called me crazy and threatened to call the police while I was already walking off the property with my son. Her behavior was loud degrading and completely unprofessional. A 51A report has now been filed by a Worcester police officer who was also shocked by the photos of my son's condition. I have also filed complaints with the Department of Early Education and Care and will be pursuing further action with MCAD EEOC and the BBB. And this is just my experience not everyone will have the same one but I'm posting this because no one should let all the positive reviews blind them. Every year the daycare asks parents to leave reviews on Google because that's how they boost their enrollment numbers. Do your own research ask questions and trust your gut.

*disclaimer - this review is only about the Preschool II room*…read more My daughter's last day at First Friends was last Friday, mercifully. If there was an option to give zero or negative stars, believe me I would. Please note, my daughter does not have special needs, but one of the recurring issues is that she tends to get distracted while having a meal with other people, whether it be with our family or with other children. We noted that the first week she was there, she did not eat the entire lunch we sent with her (lunch is not provided by the center). We did not send a seven course meal, it was usually chicken nuggets, some kind of fruit, yogurt, and a juice box - items that my daughter has eaten time and time again. We spoke with the Director and her teachers about this, repeatedly. Time and time again, she came home with parts of her lunch either not touched or partially finished. There was even one day where she came home with everything except a small cup of applesauce. Someone at First Friends, through their years of education and experience thought that it was completely appropriate for a four year old to have a cup of applesauce for lunch. Both my wife and I made repeated requests of the Director to retrieve copies of the health records we gave to them - never received them. On our daughter's last day, her teachers completely ignored both my wife (who picked up our daughter) and my daughter. This is a telling sign that if you express any concerns as a parent, not only will they be ignored, so will you. Try not paying for a day and you'll have enough "statements" from First Friends to heat your place for a day. It is glaringly obvious that this center primarily exists to make money, NOT care for your children. As a parent, my advice is this, if you love your preschool-age children, DO NOT send them here.

Her teachers understood this, and my anxiety around it. They went out of their way to let me know how it was going, what foods she was showing interest in, and making sure that she was eating. It feels like a partnership with her teachers, something I appreciate and value. During the COVID-19 crisis, being able to see her teachers and friends via Zoom was great and we appreciated being sent activities to do (and to be able to do activities on the Facebook page). We knew this was a wonderful place from the moment we walked in for the school tour. After a couple of months in the little-ones room, one of his teachers asked us if he was also very quiet at home and that we could check with the Dr. for some hearing problems. Sure enough, he was not hearing well! The pediatrician even said that a school/teacher that can recognize something like this is a keeper, and we were happy to found out early as we could correct the issue. My son loves the school and all the teachers. It is a very inclusive school teaching both sign language and Spanish. During COVID, the teachers kept in touch and the school organized events to keep in contact with the students which I found quite nice.
