St Peter's Scottish Episcopal Church is located on Lutton Place in Edinburgh, and the hall connected to the church is often hired out for events. It is this that I will cover in this review.
The building is everything that you would expect from a standard church hall. The floor is wooden, with benches down each side. There is a small stage, and kitchen comes off the entrance hall. I've been to a variety of events here, including talks and games nights with my own church. I've seen this building also used for ceilidhs.
In terms of the facilities, we have always been fairly satisfied with what is on offer. As a space, it is in a great location in the heart of Newington, making it ideal for the student-focused events that I was a part of. It is worth bearing in mind that parking is not available there, and if you were looking to park you would need to find somewhere on the street, which can be tricky in this part of the town at the best of times.
This is a great little venue for some of the more low key events, or a party. Probably not suitable for a wedding reception or concert though! read more
