My littles would love coming here and love going on the trains or carousel or the picnics we would have when I was a sahm. So many nice comminuty events held here etc. The parks been through a lot of renovations. One section has really clean bathrooms and there's an exercise stations which is geared for most ages. There's a part here that will connect you to Brookside Gardens. The park is very well maintained.

The train was the same, but it was closed for repair the day I was there. The biggest downfall was I could only find portapotties. However, this park was a lot of fun to visit for a day.

Similar to other MoCo neighborhood parks, this playground has a fairly short walking path, a set of swings, fire truck, a few slides and a monkey bar. This park is surrounded by trees so you can find some shade during a sunny day. There are a few picnic tables throughout the park, but don't expect to hold large gatherings here. This park tends to get a little busy during the afternoons, but is fairly quiet during the early morning hours. Fun for kids of all ages. If you need to get work done while you child is playing, there are a few tables that you can set at and set a space to get your work done. Overall, its a nice neighborhood park with tons of activities for your kids to play. Not super big playground, but its large enough for your kids to roam around and explore.

It's a trail in the middle of the city, except you don't have that city environment when you're on this trail! We had parked in Parking Lot 6, and there was plenty of parking remaining on a Saturday afternoon. When we went on the trail, a part of the road was blocked off to cars, so it's a great place to cycle, walk, or skate. As we walked, we saw a few people on unicycles and roller blading. That part of the trail was an easy walk since it's normally meant for cars. Eventually, we crossed a bridge to head to the not-so-hidden ruins. Apparently, a few months ago, these ruins were open to the public to explore. I visited this today and they were gated/blocked off with a "no trespassing" sign. These ruins are apparently pieces of the US Capitol Building after it was renovated in 1958. From my understanding, they weren't sure what to do with the stones, so they dumped it in this park. Need these ruins is also a horse trail/horse barn area.

Most…read moredog owners are very responsible; however, BEWARE of a woman with two young kids and a one-year-old Dalmatian. About two months ago, the Dalmatian viciously attacked my dog twice, and we then had to take my dog to the emergency vet to receive stitches and a drainage pump. The owner was not able to take control of the dog. Due to the attack, my dog had several deep puncture wounds on her thigh. The Dalmatian and the owner have been reported to animal control. This person cannot take control of her dog at the dog park, refuses to take responsibility, and pays for the associated emergency vet cost.
