I am making a special trip to this church before I move out of the area, living in Lauderdale by the Sea but moving to Deer Island, Fl. In a few weeks. I don't live in Miami but I'visit often and I had the great fortune of running into this church- I go to church every Sunday and I have traveled all over the world and been to many many churches this is one of my favorites for lots of reasons but mainly besides all the great work if they do on the spiritual side they decorate the church so beautifully so tastefully but the most important thing is this singing probably the best I have ever heard-something you don't want to miss-they have voices of God - I love going there! I've been a member of this parish since I first moved to Miami Beach--the fall of 2004. From the moment I stepped inside of St. Pat's I was in awe at her beauty. The architecture here is just beautiful. Then, after my first mass, I was hooked. The choir, oh the amazing choir!!! Even if you aren't Catholic, I recommend attending a mass to hear this amazing choir perform. Most weeks they give me goosebumps. I also am a big fan of the St. Pat's community--if you are looking for a good way to donate your time to your fellow community members and those less fortunate, St. Pat's is always doing something. From serving Thanksgiving Dinner to sponsoring a Habitat for Humanity house (and two weekends of building), this church really shows what it means to love thy neighbor. Finally, St. Pat's holds a special place in my heart as I was confirmed here, almost one year ago. read more

Attended mass at 9:30 AM at St. Patrick Church in Miami on Sunday 10/17/10 after catching a red eye flight from LAX to Ft. Lauderdale and getting zero sleep due to a crying baby. :( After catching breakfast we headed to St. Patrick. The church itself is absolutely beautiful!!!! The exterior and interior of the church are gorgeous! And their choir is amazing!!!!! Best choir I have heard so far in my life. :) :) :) I kept turning around to take a look at the choir as they were incredible. Parishioners were very friendly and my hubby and I felt comfortable and right at home. If you are visiting Miami and are Catholic and want to go to mass, go here! You'll love it! :) read more

Such a beautiful church and so clean. I've heard of this church before, and got the opportunity to visit it for a baptism. The pastor was very loud and bubbly, which I thought was great. Not your traditional mass/ceremony. Also, it's quite big and spacious and the parking is absolutely convenient as it has a private parking lot right in front, or side parking available. First time I went to mass at this Church Fr Alberto said the mass. Unfortunately, Fr Alberto found another calling and is now I believe the pastor of an Episcopalian Church. Well done Father! Anyway this church is special to me in that my son was married here and my granddaughter was baptized here. The 11 o'clock mass today was exceptional. Best church on Miami Beach. Great priests on both Spanish and English, particularly father Roberto in Spanish and father Russell in English. Daily masses as well as bilingual on Sunday. The choir is unbelievable. read more

This place is spectacular!!!! I just got married this last June..... Everything about this place - the Priests, The Parish Staff, Brother Mark ... who is in-charge of the Music - and - is the Organist.... I could go on and on!!!!! This place has changed our lives! .... it's the perfect example of how love, good people, and zero-toelerance of hate and bigotry ill always produce more love!!!..... Here's the story of how my new wife and I discovered this Church.... We attended the Wedding of Kimberly Cobian and Nicholas Martinez in November 21, 2015... Nick and I attended Belen Academy High School together. Remember... this place - ESPECIALLY THE MUSIC - is amazing. The bride's parents, Zoila and Victor, did everything in their power to undermine, control - and in most cases - ruin everything ... especially for the Nick's gorgeous Mom (Anabel) who cannot be more beautiful and gracious. Zoila (bride's mom) started trying to control everything back in June, 2015.... she appointed herself "in-charge" of everything. In my life I don't think I have witnessed such nasty, self-centered, hateful, spiteful, conniving, dishonest, and disgusting behavior. If it weren't for Brother Mark - Director of Music... and Father Willy - who Officiated the Mass... the entire celebration would have been ruined. Both of these extraordinary Gentlemen (Br. Mark and Fr. Willy) saw right thru Zoila's vicious behavior! A wedding is supposed to be a celebration of love.... Which both Brother Mark and Father Willy made sure it was! A friend of the Martinez (groom's) family - Cristy Arias - has an AMAZING Soprano voice - Zoila (bride's mom) even attempted to keep her from singing at the Wedding. Zoila tried to make a scene about NOT having the "Ave Maria" sung..... why??.. because this was really the ONLY thing Anabel (Groom's mom) wanted at the Mass. The "Ave Maria" is one of the most beautiful and poignant moments in any Roman Catholic Wedding. Wow Zoila!!... how far were you planning to go with your hate crusade?? I vividly remember after the Wedding I stopped Br. Mark to congratulate him on such beautiful music... and thanked him for making sure that BOTH of the families requests/traditions were respected. I also commended him on his patience, understanding, and professionalism in dealing with the bride's spiteful parents. His response: "Only ugly people can do ugly things..... we really need to pray for them!" ... I don't even know if Nick and Kimberly are still together.... Zoila and Victor (Kimberly's parents) were so horrible during the reception that my girlfriend (now wife) and I left before the main dinner was served... The last I heard they were already having issues because of Zoila & Victor's meddling in their marriage. Sad!!! read more

My daughter got married in this church last weekend and being the mother of the bride my daughter chose me to plan her wedding. When it came to choosing the music for the church, I planned it with Brother Mark Spencer, which is the person in charge of the music at the church. I started planning the choice of music in June and spoke and exchanged several emails with Brother Mark to make sure that the music request was correct. Three days before the wedding My daughter received a call from Brother Mark questioning the music elected. Of course, my daughter was clueless about what brother Mark was talking about because I was the person in charge. My daughter called me and told me that there was a confusion in the music, so my husband and I immediately went to church to meet with Brother Mark. Upon our arrival I was informed by Brother Mark that he received a call from the grooms mother and Christy Arias,(which is a singer in Florida that is hired for weddings), changing the music request. I specifically stressed to Brother Mark that he was to sing the songs that were elected five months ago and that there was no time in changing the plan. Brother Mark stood in front of my husband and I, with a notebook, reading out the names of the songs I elected and he assured me that everything will continue as planned and that Christy Arias was to sing only one song as instructed by him and I. To my surprise the day of the wedding the songs chosen were not sung, Christy Arias sang songs that were not on the list, like the Ave Maria, that was a song that I specifically said not to sing. I started planning my daughters wedding 18 months ago and it took me a lot of time to coordinate everything because I was hosting 356 guests. I want to thank Brother Mark Spencer and Christy Arias for making my daughters wedding ceremony unmemorable and making my husband and I feel disappointed in the faith of two individuals. They both treated this wedding like a business transaction. Feel bad for both of them. read more
