Life Church has drastically improved with every year of its existence. It is a very family-centric church that focuses on teaching biblical principles that improve your life, positive mentality, and relationship with God. Children get biblical teachings as well in an all new children's church area. I would tell anyone to give Life Church a chance for longer than one Sunday and you will not be disappointed. I've been here for 6 years as of this review and while it's had it's ups and downs (we are all human), it's been the best thing that happened for me and my family.

At our last church we felt out of place sometimes as we were not fancy people. What I like most is Pastor Joe he wasn't always a pastor but a retired school teacher so he preaches from what I feel is a more realistic approach to life. He is humorous and has a passion for spreading the word of God. The church truly cares about you. We hadn't been members for very long when we asked if they can do a memorial for my father who just passed and wasn't a member or hadn't even stepped foot into a church in a long while. I really appreciated how the whole church family stepped in and offered help. No matter your walk with Christ this is a great place for you Are you a believer? Or still struggling? One HUGE difference is when you come here you don't feel like you're being judged or that they are only after your money...they don't even pass an offering plate. Instead, when you feel comfortable and God has spoken to your heart, you can place your offering in the collection box on your way out. And no lengthy speeches or bible series in giving money. Pastor Joes is truly a man of God and his series n bible studies continue to push me to grow spiritually and faithfully! He has counseled me several times and I always find his guidance reassuring, stern but applicable, and comforting. Pastor Joe definitely will show you how the bible and the life of Christ still apply to our current times. Also, he does a great children's ministry at the end off every praise and worship, which is always great since you never know what kids are gonna say! The building is a wonderful mix between the old and new with large, exposed wooden beams, a baptism pool, a cry room, comfortable chairs, and an inviting entryway. Don and Gloria are usually at the door and are the most lovely people inviting all to enter. The church offers an amazing worship experience and a pastor that is not afraid to speak the truth of God's word. They have plenty of Adult Bible Fellowships during regular sunday church hours to get plugged in and learn the Bible as well as a great Community Group program for connecting on a smaller level at home bible studies. The bottom line is that if you are 'rating' a church, it should be 'rated' at the primary function of it, leading it's members to become closer and closer to Jesus. Instead of just praying for both sides he said how "Iran has k*lled hundreds of Americans/Israelis for the past 40 years." God would not want us to pick a side since no one is a winner. Also, when the pastor asked us to go to the front so he can pray for us, I was expecting a nice prayer. But instead the pastor slammed his hand so hard on my head I was taken aback. People even started fainting I felt like I was in a cult. At the end of the service they even said "Shalom" which is not a Christian thing to do AT ALL. At today's 9/6/26…read moreservice my wife and I were sitting in the handicap seating at Abundant Living Faith located in El Paso West Side, as I am handicap with a recent major back surgery. I was approached by a female usher wearing floral printed pants. Who directed that I move to another seat as the seating I was in was reserved for the handicap. I informed her that I was handicap/disabled veteran and asked if she wanted to see my handicap card. She then gave me a series of excuses. That I found to be discriminatory, is that there was a young man sitting next to my wife and another young man and lady sitting in the same section, whom she did not approach. This is the first time I have ever been questioned. There is no excuse for questioning a person in a handicap seating area. If I were another person I would have made a complaint regarding targeting discretion. We pay our; tithes, donate food and toys and also donate towards assisting in purchase school items and clothing for children. Today was a disappointment. I hope that the pastors are informed of this.

Great, uplifting worship service, usually with the contemporary stuff you hear on the radio. It looks small on the outside until you realize it's connected to a bigger building. It's a medium sized Church, not so big to where nobody notices you but again not so small to where everybody turns around when you walk into service. Good size, good people genuinely welcoming you and including you. The pastor has a good way of keeping you engaged, has a good sense of humor, is real and relatable.
