Today, being Dec. 13, we went to buy our tree at Severts stand and were so disappointed at the few mediocre trees they had left. We wanted a tall tree and although the tree we bought was tagged as an 8 foot tree, if it weren't for the 10 inch bare top spire, it would just be a scant 7 foot tree that does have a nice shape but is not full. Usually the lot is packed with trees that are all so consistently beautiful that it never takes long to find the perfect one in the perfect size. Today was a stark contrast! Not surprising that there weren't even any other customers. I asked when another truck would be arriving and unloaded and was informed that they would not be getting anymore trees.
