Can't believe I forgot to rate the Tybee Island Pier from a few months ago, but here we go. I was…read morein the Savannah area in late June and since I haven't been to an East Coast beach in probably 5-6 years I knew I needed to smell some salt water and absorb some beach vibes. My wife and I headed here around 11:30AM and after a little bit of a struggle snagging some parking, we were able to take a nice walk. Like most popular little beach areas, this place is pretty crowded but not so much that you want to avoid it at all costs. We walked up to the boardwalk area and took the long walk down the pier, it was really nice being able to be so far out without getting wet (we had a flight to catch, though I would of loved having a swim). The pier itself with full of families taking photos, people taking a walk, and the end was a fishing area where you could actually rent a pole, buy some bait, and enjoy some time sitting down and trying to catch something. We spent maybe a half hour or so strolling the boardwalk which also has a big room with some food options (ice cream included), before heading back to the car and heading down to the airport. Overall, Tybee Island Pier is a nice place to spend an afternoon and has plenty of activities to keep the whole family happy. At the time I was visiting, I thought I was moving here so we kind of rushed through what we did, but since I ended up NOT moving to Savannah I sure do look forward to flying out and taking this city in a bit at some point.

I'm not religious but I figured it couldn't hurt, and we got to see the beautiful Cathedral as it was designed! The building is magnificent from the outside, but the details inside are so hard to believe. I am a lover of the architectural beauty in buildings, and this cathedral did not disappoint.

Even if you aren't religious, the sheer artistry of the structure is enough to leave anyone in awe. Why It's Worth the Stop: * Outstanding Architecture: From the street, the towering spires and French Gothic style make a powerful impression. It feels like a piece of European history dropped right into the heart of Savanah. * Breathtaking Interior: Once you step inside, the scale of the beauty really hits you. Between the vibrant stained-glass windows, carved statues and depictions, and the intricate murals, every inch of the sanctuary is a work of art. * A Peaceful Experience: Visiting during the week is a pro tip. Since there were no services in progress, the atmosphere was incredibly serene, allowing us to take our time and really soak in the details without the crowds. Pro-Tips for Your Visit: * Cost: There is no mandatory entrance fee, making it accessible to everyone. * Donations: They do suggest a $3 per person donation, which is a small price to pay to help maintain such a historic treasure.

Bring a notebook, because each sermon is expertly prepared by Dr. Broggi. A side note- we do not know when an unborn child gets a soul, God loves all people and desires all to be saved but He does hate sin (including homosexual, polygamous, and unmarried heterosexual sex) and women pastors are not to hold spiritual authority over men and God gives us the example of Adam and Eve showing that this was not a suggestion to one church but a command to all churches. If you have been born again and know 100% you are going to heaven based on Jesus' completed work, then search the scriptures humbly. There are a lot of compromised churches out there and I am pleased to say that right now CBC Beaufort is not one of them.

What happened to so many countless verses about how we are not to judge or condemn, and being called to love and forgive like Jesus does? Delicate political conversations can sometimes have a place in a sermon, but today they did not. I won't be back.
