One of the Most Beautiful Catholic Churches I have seen in my lifetime!!! Full of great history! The basement is cool yet spooky. The walls and ceiling is brick layered. It is weird- quiet but the unrest of possible good spirits that surrounds you where two known Bishops are entombed in their own sacred sections. Now for the Upstairs -and the main entrance, you will love the old marbled alter along with the French gothic designs. Each pew is cozy and made of oak and is comfortable. There's a huge gorgeous pipe organ located above the entrance doors. The doors itself looks medieval. Rugged iron handles and rustic thick doors and hardware. A must see when visiting Columbus, Ohio.

This church is really lovely.. but warning, if you don't like incense DON'T come here. They are all up on incense like white on rice. I was here for a wedding and for regular Sunday mass. For the Sunday mass they used the incense 5-6 times(?). I know this can be a deal breaker for some because my dad was really sensitive to incense and would sometimes get pretty nauseous. If he had ever come here he would have likely passed out. It was like sitting in an incense cloud. F'serious. Otherwise this church is very traditional. Full out organ and everything (check the pictures I posted). And although I like organs as much as the next guy (small doses), it really drowns out the people singing. Apparently it's pretty new, so I guess they're trying to use it as much as possible. I'm a bigger fan of pianos, acoustic/electric guitars, etc for mass.. but ya know, that's just me. I thought the lectors were fantastic - very audible and expressive. The priest's homily was also enjoyable. I can tell this is a very community based church. A lot of the people were chatting before mass, which is cool.. but kind of annoying at the same time (OK lady, you missed your dog on vacation.. I get it). I'd probably stop in here every once in awhile if I lived in the area.. if not for mass, just to pray. I really really dug the architecture. And for your convenience: Weekend Liturgies Saturday 5:15 p.m. Sunday 8:00 a.m., 10:30 a.m., 12:30 p.m., 5:15 p.m. Holy Days Vigil 5:15 p.m. 7:30 a.m. , 11:30 a.m. , 12:30 p.m., 5:15 p.m. Daily Masses Monday- Friday 7:30 a.m., 12:05 p.m., 5:15 p.m. Holidays 7:30 a.m. Only Sacrament of Penance Tuesday and Thursday 11:15 - 11:45 a.m. Saturday 4:00 - 5:00 p.m. PS - If you take a cab here.. just say St. Joe's. Apparently saying St. Joseph Cathedral is really confusing. Idunno. PPS - There is a handicap accessible elevator located at the first door on the west side of the Cathedral.

This church could easily be a stop on a historical tour. The crypt has several displays and rooms you can check out for free.

This is a beautiful cathedral that would be a great stop on any historical or religious enthusiasts sight seeing list. If you happen to catch mass here you will get to hear the Fritts Organ which is one of the largest pipe organs in the U.S. and the reverb from it is beautiful as it rings through the church. The priest is also very friendly and charismatic. The church itself has many things for you to check out and has a great old, historical feel. The main room is beautiful with high vaulted ceilings and a lot of intricate masonry as well as large statues. There are many nooks that hide different art along the walls of the church. If you take the elevator to the basement you will get to see the "crypt" which is really cool and advise anyone here to make a trip downstairs. It feels very old timey and you will get a nostalgic feeling as you walk down some of the old hallways - it feels almost like a trip through time! There are several Knights of Columbus artifacts here you can view as well as being able to enter the crypt where a few prior bishops appear to be laid to rest. This is a great stop if you are looking for a welcoming church or just a fun sight seeing adventure at a historical and beautiful cathedral!

Great Christmas nativity scene that was moved from state auto. I wish it was more culturally looking.

My experience with this beautiful group of people has been very special. This is one of the fastest growing churches in America, and it is easy to see why the first time you walk through these doors. I really love Rock City! Love what they're doing to get young people back in the church…read more This was my first time attending this location, although I'm actually here all the time since they're attached to The Dream Center, a nonprofit that serves the homeless, lower income, and people in human trafficking. The lobby area is tighter than the UA campus, but it's good because greeters are more apt to see you and talk to you. They seem to be much nicer here. They were selling apparel in the lobby, so I had to take a look. Got myself a windbreaker to rep the church. I recognize a lot more faces at this campus. It was nice. Service was great. The singers on stage were also good. Seems like more undergrads tend to be at this campus since it's close by. You can sit upstairs in the balcony or downstairs. The space is smaller than UA, but it's a good size since UA has more people. They have Wednesday and Sunday night services too. We were at the 10:45am service and it was still filled with lots of people. I saw a few families, older people, and definitely some students. Parking is tricky. Since I volunteer here on occasion, I know to drive through into the second spot. Otherwise, wait a while before leaving. Would love to come back again though! I enjoyed the energy on stage. The high ceilings also made the space feel a bit more open. They're made of wood. I felt close to nature. Lol.

Vineyard Columbus church is a big Christian non-denominational church in the Columbus neighbourhood…read moreof Westerville, Ohio. Although big, the church has various small groups that meet during the week and weekends in homes or sometimes at the church. These groups are Bible study groups. Some groups are social groups as well. There is always a way to get connected with others even though the church is big. Attendance declined a little bit after COVID but many people still come to Vineyard Columbus or the other smaller campus locations. The lead Pastor for a long time was Rich Nathan. In 2021, Eric and Julia Pickerill became the lead Pastors but stepped down in winter 2026. Currently, Vineyard Columbus is searching for a new full time main Pastor. I attended Vineyard Columbus when I lived in Columbus during my University/College years. I loved the sermons and the optional small group meetings. Back then, there used to be a young adults group called Joshua House that had various social outings and praise and worship nights. I enjoyed attending a retreat once with Joshua's House which was fun. Church is welcoming/inviting and they offer complimentary tea and coffee in an open gathering area. They also offer free used and new books in this open area. They have Spanish services available too which is nice. Overall, I would recommend Vineyard Columbus for those looking for a new church home. **** GOAL of 250 reviews in 2026 - 63/250 total reviews in 2026 - 904 total Yelp reviews - Reviewed on 30 April 2026

It didn't get overly packed. A lot of people came late and even while Rich started preaching. Lol. It's known for being culturally diverse which is cool! I'll bet it's easier to find more of these types of churches in larger cities. Worship is always good. Longer than I'm used to. They sing a good mix of gospel, some older contemporary, and newer contemporary. The singers are so talented! They have such powerful voices! They are so aware of culture that they also sang one part of a song in Spanish. Awesome! The sermon is academic. Rich Nathan used to teach at OSU, so it makes sense that he'll bring in all kinds of knowledge into his sermon. They're long. It may've been an hour long sermon, I think? They speak openly about social issues and are aware of things that the city is failing to do. But they don't say this to point fingers, they say it to show that churches can do more to help the community. They even help out with ESL! They guide you through communion which I think is fantastic! Not sure why some church plants don't do this... they even read the scripture in another language! On Sunday, the guy read it in Farsi! Very cool! It's a nice church! I've never had trouble with parking or anything. There are two lots on either side of the building. There's also a cafe in here that serves food! It always smells good and I would love to try it if I'm ever back here again. A lady greeted us at the door which was nice. They don't have greeters into the sanctuary. I'm so used to it that it was different that they don't do this. But it's only because they have the pamphlets and communion stuff prepacked on a table before you take a seat.

The church actually had an accident a few years ago (a fire I believe?) and they reopened about 2 years ago. I never saw the Original St. Mary's, but I frequently go to Mass here now. I am a parishioner at St. Catharine's, but I love Fr Vince so much that you can sometimes catch me at a random weekday Mass at St Mary's or the 11a Sunday Mass. Father Vince Nguyen is a fantastic priest. He is really good friends with my pastor, Father Dury and they are a lot alike. His homilies are meaningful, thought-provoking, heartfelt and humorous. I always leave a Mass at St. Mary's feeling invigorated with the Holy Spirit. I have also gone to confession here a few times and once again, Fr. Vince is the best. He takes his time with each penitent and makes you feel loved by God as he discusses Scripture with you and outlines your penance. He has become my go-to confessor (sorry Father Dury--everyone knows it feels weird to go to your "home" priest for confession! Hah!) The interior of this church is something that even non-Catholics can appreciate. The wood fixtures are so fresh and new-- enough to make St. Joseph himself proud! The artwork and statues are ones that I could stare at for hours. It really is breathtaking--everyone should see this! I'd highly recommend St. Mary's as a parish to attend Mass. It's such a special experience each time. Thank you Fr. Nguyen for being such a wonderful priest- the Holy Spirit is on fire in you!
