When I called to ask about whether she accepts my insurance, instead of giving me a straight answer she assured me that she works with others who have the same insurance and that my insurance company will reimburse me. I did call my insurance company and they claimed to have her on their list of covered psychologists. She charged me $400 for an initial assessment that left me feeling unsure... the entire 45 mins felt rushed; where she spent the first 15 minutes making me sign paperwork on agreement/forms of payment. When we got to the initial assessment she insisted on informing me about my previous diagnoses and "what Freud would say about ____". She comes off as the type of person who makes snap judgements and assumes feelings/emotions that her clients would/should experience instead of simply listening. She seemed to have a comment about every little thing I was explaining, and not the type of comment or question that delves deeper, but rather her own opinion of the matter or a related matter. Does most of the talking throughout the session rather than listen to the client. After the session she insisted on payment right away despite not giving me an invoice... I've been to 2 other therapists throughout my adulthood and she focused so much more on the money than any others... I should have questioned it right away. When I contacted my insurance company again, they said she was on an "old/outdated" list and they would not cover the session. I contacted her letting her know and to please consider either reimbursing me for the initial assessment that was no longer applicable as I would not be able to continue seeing her, or at the very least send me the invoice she had promised me. It was my fault that I paid before receiving an invoice, that I didn't question why, if my insurance claimed she was covered, she insisted on payment up front. But Dr. Burgio never returned any of my messages and never sent me an invoice for the initial assessment, despite repeated attempts to contact her asking for one. I felt scammed and still cannot believe that someone working in the mental health field would choose to blatantly disregard a previous client once she realized she would no longer be receiving money from me and never follow through with sending an invoice for the service, so I cannot even try to challenge it with my insurance company. Definitely find a different therapist - because Dr. Burgio is clearly not in this line of work to help others better their mental health, just to make money off of them.

After one horrible cracked tooth incident, let's just say it involved drainage, I became desperate and started looking up cheap dentists in my area. Another reason for my lolly galling was that I had no medical insurance and couldn't afford anything! Luckily for me, I stumbled onto to Walton Family Health Center. I was placed with Dr. Ramathuri. In my honest opinion, he is one of the best dentists in The Bronx. He was very kind, sweet, and empathetic to my plight. He wanted to help me. Over the past year and a half, wow, Dr. Ramathuri has helped my teeth through various emergencies or ailments and I wouldn't have it any other way! Also, the hygienist, I've forgotten her name (Sorry!), is amazing at her job. I have her every time I need my teeth clean and she's boss. The Center, itself, is very well maintained and clean. The first floor is the medical and the second floor is Psychiatric and Dental. Also, the bathrooms are so clean! They're cleaned every hour on the hour! Also, if you don't have health insurance, the social worker will help you be placed on a sliding scale until you can figure it out. It certainly saved my life and my teeth.

I needed a doctor around my home to be my PCP. I'd been traveling between boroughs for years, but…read moreduring COVID, my old PCP refused to open his doors and would turn away patients, having his receptionists tell us to go to urgent care, no matter what the issue. I just needed a physical, but was turned away. It was then that I finally made the leap to a new doctor (long overdue). I found Dr. Mannam's office and was happy to report that this far, he is a doctor that follows up with my care and is generally kind and provides prompt feedback regarding my health. He ends every visit with a hug (not in a creepy way), and it is refreshing given that my other doctor was so impersonal. At Dr. Mannam's, you feel cared for. Sometimes the reception desk gets overcrowded and it could take a while to be acknowledged, but I just wait patiently, sign in and then approach when someone is free. When I have an appointment, I'm glad to say that I haven't had to wait longer than 15-20 minutes to be seen. Other offices I've been to, I've had to wait 1-2 hours even WITH an appointment! Without an appointment, I've waited up to two hours as this office is popular in the neighborhood. Hope this review helps. Even with the risk of overcrowding his office, I would recommend Dr. Mannam.

For unforeseen personal circumstances I had to cancel my membership, not even 18 hours after I had signed up. Sent them an email explaining I had to cancel for now but hopefully will resume in the future. And they are charging me $150 cancellation fee. No sympathy to personal circumstances, just claiming it's for administrative purposes. I can understand if they have already processed my application, or have offered me some of their services, but none of that had happened. I had literally signed up around 3pm on a Tuesday and emailed them about cancellation at 8am on Wednesday. They've been so difficult to deal with, kept repeating the fact that they have a $150 cancellation fee without any empathy or rationale for the fee. It is quiet shocking to experience this level of customer service in today's society when customer service is crucial to a business reputation. But they seem to not care. I would stay away!
