While enjoying the festival, my family and I also got to explore this beach. Yes, between Memorial Day through Labor Day, there's an admission fee for the beach as life guards will be on duty. The festival was a weekend before Memorial Day and I'm glad it's 80 plus degree weather so we got to check out the beach for free. It's nice and clean. I love the fact that there's no games and all eateries are usually across the street from the broad walk which means, there should be less people walking on the broad walk itself (unless other jersey beaches). I arrived to the beach around 10am and there were plenty of parking spaces available. I'm sure it will be different during the summer but that's every beach you go! There's meter parking and there's also street parking on side streets for free. There's restrooms every two blocks and yes, it's clean! I totally recommend coming here and if you like coming to the beach often, you should purchase their season pass for $55 rather than paying $8 a day for adults. Senior citizens and disabled (must show proof) are at discounted price of $15. Kids 15 and under are free.

The water is clean, I saw no garbage floating around and I could actually see through the water which was wonderful. Everyone was quiet, very calm vibes. Only complaint are the "police" who I saw trying to overexert their authority with more than two groups of people for the most absurd reasons. Just seemed like they had nothing better to do tbh. I'm not talking about the actual real police, I'm talking about the beach police who clearly aren't real police but seemed to want to make a name for themselves. Seeing things like this annoys me especially when the people being bothered weren't doing anything. But other than that; clean water, good vibes, 5 star beach in my opinion.

I also liked that there are informational signs explaining the history of the park and the surrounding area, making it more than just a scenic stop. Located right on the border of Ocean Grove and Asbury Park, it's also where you'll find the footbridge connecting the two towns. Simple, relaxing, and definitely worth spending a few minutes here.

There's plenty of metered parking, paid lots, and garages. If you don't mind walking a few blocks, you can find free street parking near the neighborhoods. There are many access points to the beach with stairs, sand ramps, and wood ramps. Admission is $6 Monday-Friday, $9 on weekends/holidays, and $3 daily for individuals who are 14-17 years old. It's free for seniors and for those who are 13 years old and under. You can buy the badge online or in person. I recently went a few weeks ago and there was security checking people's bags before entering. I have absolutely no problem with this because I always advocate for safety. The beach is well maintained. The sand is clean with no trash laying around. There's a line of fake palm trees, which make for some cute photo ops. The ocean water has been so much clearer with shades of deep blues and greens. It can get crowded on the weekends, but not to the point where you feel like you're on top of each other. Chair and umbrella rentals are available. There are public restrooms at several locations along the beachfront. If you want to eat, shop, or take a leisurely oceanfront walk, Pier Village is right there along the beach and boardwalk. It has over 30 restaurants and boutiques. Fine dining, casual dining, bars, desserts, shopping, etc... there's so much to check out. The boardwalk stretches for miles with many attractions so you won't get tired of being here. Take a dip in the ocean, bathe in the sun, enjoy a lobster roll, or take a romantic stroll along the spacious boardwalk...

Located right off of highway Route 36 and about a mile from the Historic Twin Lighthouse, Mount Mitchell affords fantastic views of the bay, Atlantic Ocean, Manhattan, Freedom Tower, Verrazano Bridge, Statin Island and Brooklyn. Bring your binoculars or use the coin operated viewing machines. The best photo opportunities require a 500+ mm lens. It's a small park with manicured grounds, paving and a small but nice playground with apparatus to keep the kids entertained. There is a well done 9/11 memorial to those who lost their lives in the twin towers that day. The memorial includes the various towns and the names and ages of those who died that day. There is a time line on the pavers which indicates when the first tower was hit, the second tower, the Pentagon and the plane crash in Pa. .Information plaques can be read concerning the area and Mt. Mitchill. It's only 500 feet off of Route 36 and well worth the 15 minute stop. Locals consider it a romantic spot.

BEAUTIFUL place to come to be one with nature!!!…read more So I found this place on AllTrails as it was due to be a beautiful day and I wanted be out in nature so I decided to come here. 5 STARS all across the board!! This is a beautiful trail 5+mile walk around a beautiful lake. There are plenty of shaded spots to sit down and take in the scenery (or to give your pup a break from walking lol). There are benches throughout the park and plenty of parking. This is a flat, pretty much paved path (with the exception of small rocks in certain places). The path itself is very clean and the people on the trail were very friendly and spoke in passing. Overall- 5 outta 5 stars, I would definitely recommend coming here whether it's for a family stroll, walk/jog/biking or just wanting to be surrounded in nature. It's a beautiful place to be!! FYI- the path runs in a circle so you can walk straight through and not have to worry about back tracking to get back to your car.

Loved the big open windows that face out to overlook the water and the big indoor fireplace. They have a large selection of kayaks that you can rent and there are also various boats available to rent. We brought our own fishing rods, so I'm not sure if you can also rent them here. Definitely a cute spot to check out, and hopefully next time we have better weather and fishing conditions.

Even so, the new boardwalk looks clean, modern, and stretches all the way toward the Asbury Park section. Unlike many Jersey Shore boardwalks filled with rides and arcades, this one offers a much calmer experience. It's wide, well-maintained, and perfect for a peaceful walk while enjoying the Atlantic Ocean views and cool sea breeze. Whether you're taking a morning walk or watching the sunset, it's a relaxing boardwalk that's definitely worth visiting.
