They have everything I want in an exercise facility including free assistance designing a workout program that is suited to your goals and preferences. Over the years I've worked out at gyms all over the country - Gold's, Anytime Fitness, LA Fitness and independent gyms, and this YMCA facility compares favorably with the best of them. Plus, it's nonprofit, so any proceeds they make subsidize low income users and help send kids to summer camp. The facilities are clean and well maintained. I was impressed with their aerobic theater where a feature film is screened in a darkened, air conditioned theater with tiers of machines including treadmills, ellipticals and exercycles - something I'll give a try when I want a casual hour of aerobics. I also like their locker rooms - lots of lockers, a steam room, spacious showers, and they even provide a free towel. (I also appreciate them supplying sweat towels so that you don't follow onto an exercise machine with drops of a previous user's sweat.) The onsite restaurant is a nice touch with a variety of healthy foods and beverages that any health-conscious person will appreciate.

A full-day curriculum (7am-6pm) is great for working parents. State of the art classroom monitoring technology allows parents to view their children's rooms on smartphones and online during the day. That's peace of mind. Teachers are nurturing and really engage students using a great curriculum. The school lives up to its mantra.... "accelerated learning, not babysitting."

A genuinely helpful tutoring program, one that my student used and was super helpful to me at home, was cut with little explanation and zero transparency. This wasn't some underused resource, it was a lifeline for students who needed extra support. Instead of investing in education and people, the school chose to save money and move on. What's most frustrating is how dismissive the administration has been about it. No acknowledgment of the impact, no effort to replace it with something comparable, just silence. My child is so confused where Miss Donna went and I don't have an answer. I'm really disappointed.

This is a state of the art facility which offers elliptical machines, steppers, treadmills, several machines whose names I don't know, free weights, weight machines in two different areas/rooms, TRX, CrossFit, racquetball, handball, an indoor pool, an indoor therapy pool, an indoor track, a basketball gym (also for volleyball), an outdoor water park (like) area for kids where adults can also go to lay out in the sun, etc., sauna rooms for men and women (separate), steam rooms for men and women (separate), locker rooms, showers, child care, team sports, meeting rooms and more that I am probably leaving out. The staff is top notch. Always eager to help, they are courteous and respectful. A better group of people you won't find than the folks at this Y. And one thing I have really grown to appreciate over the years...they are always updating/upgrading the facility and the equipment. Nothing stays for a long time; it is replaced with a newer and better version. This is nice, I don't take it for granted. And something else to consider when joining a gym...when you join the YMCA, you are supporting an organization that helps in the development of young girls and boys through sports and camps, etc. It's not like Gold's or Coop's...the YMCA is actually making a difference in the community. It's something to think about before spending your money.

My mother in law brought me there for their Zumba class that morning. I found it to be more challenging and unique since they used very light weights in some parts of the class. My only complaint is how slippery the floors were.
