The St Heliers Public Library is such a refreshing break from some of the really tragic books for sale at some of the nearby book shops in St Heliers - as opposed to all of the commercial crap that people seem to love to read and buy, the St Heliers Library (in typical library fashion) has lots of really interesting non-fiction books that I am quite prone to getting distracted by whenever I am in there. The library has computers with internet available, a lot of space to study or read, and also free wifi if you have brought a laptop along. However I will warn you that because of the location, which is a very family-oriented area, there are often events on in the kids section (such as story telling and the like). So if you are a parent then this could be great, but if you are a student and are looking for a quiet place to study, then I would definitely go during school hours, otherwise noise-levels could be a bit high for your preference. read more
