When I visit St. George I love to bring my daughter here. We have been twice now. She's 2 and loves it. It's a good price and you can leave and come back throughout the day. There are 2 levels with a lot of different drum rooms. My daughters favorite room is the grocery store room. She can spend so much time in there. She loves pushing the shopping cart around and filling it up with groceries. It's so fun! read more

This was a great stop for my 2 yr old granddaughter! She had a blast exploring all the rooms, her favorite was the shopping room where kids can take a cart, get groceries and scan their price at the fake registers. She loved it! For not being a big museum we easily spent 2-3 hrs and when we were done, they have a cute carousel behind the museum where she could ride it for only a couple bucks. Such a fun time! read more

We came for a visit to St George from Vegas and spotted this gem of a place while driving. When it says it's a children's museum - you have to view it as a place where kids' interests are met in a variety of different ways. There are many rooms where they can learn hands on through physical play - with themes such as dinosaurs, construction, arts and crafts, science ( my favorite ), and many more. Completely worth the stop. P.S. And (non) secretly we love it more than our local Discovery museum. read more

Good evening. I was at your Children Museum on Saturday around 2pm. I brought both my boys to come play. We went down to the dinosaur room. I was helping my son with the car to push it back up the ramp. As I did that I smacked my head on the false rock structure and it cut my head open. My friend Kathryn said it has been broken for awhile and because of no one fixing it prior it has injured me. The lady at the front desk took an injury report and then taped up the section that was broken. I know she tried but it does not fix the problem as someone else could have gotten hurt too. For the rest of my visit I was in pain and did not enjoy the rest of my time with my boys as I wanted to as I am on vacation here. It was very unpleasant and am disappointed. I left early too as I was in pain. The other thing is that it was so hot in There that I got told that you can't control the heat and that was also very uncomfortable. This is such a fun, low cost museum for the kids! My husband and I had a great time watching our daughter explore too. The cost for the museum is $5 for adults. Kids under two are free. We came in about an hour before closing on a Sunday. There were only a couple of other families there so it was easy to socially distance. Many times my daughter had the entire room to herself to play. Located in a former school, each play area is in its own room. There are two floors full of rooms to explore. Little ones can really use their imagination here. They had rooms themed with construction, a mechanic's shop, an airplane, a grocery store, a bank, a farm, a vet, a government room, a theatre, a news station, a submarine, a music room, an art room, a gym, a sport room, and a play castle. There were also a couple of climbing structures/playgrounds, a large dinosaur themed area, and a mining themed room. Each room was very well done with ways for kids to interact. For example, music room had a piano that plays music when kids walk on it. The grocery store room had play groceries that could be scanned at the play register. For COVID precautions, all guests wear masks. The museum has hand sanitizer stations. If you find yourself in the historical downtown of St. George with kids I'd highly recommend coming in. I had to physically lift and carry my two and a half year old son out of this museum. He was exploring the 12 exhibit rooms for over 2 hours and he was engaged the whole time without an inkling that he wanted to leave. Our fun was just watching him be excited as he discovered new things and played with everything. He's so used to, "don't touch," "put that back," "come back here," and "get down." At this museum, he got to touch and play with whatever he wanted and he got to run around and climb on whatever was climbable. Admission was $5 and once you scan the waiver and sign, you're free to explore. The museum was moderately crowded on Labor Day with maybe 5 to 10 other people in every room. There are plenty of hand sanitizer stations and wipes throughout. And you'll also see separate receptacles to place items should they come into contact with a child's mouth. Our son's favorite room was the grocery store. After you pick up money at the bank next door, you can grab a cart and go on a shopping spree. After you fill your cart, you can go to check out, have your items rung in on the play register, pay with your money, then repeat. He also liked the farm room where there were animals and a play field where he could plant some crops. The place was surprisingly not that messy as most parents were great at having their kids pick up after themselves or helping them pick up too. Our friend had twins that are 8 and they were done with the museum after about 20 minutes. So there's an age where children won't have as much interest, maybe 5 or 6? But our son was the perfect age which brought tons of photo ops and smiles to our faces. read more

Fun and interactive museum! You sure get a Big Bang for you buck here. It was $5 a person. For the value of the museum and how much fun my child had, I would have paid more. I had fun with my child too. This museum is geared towards younger children, which I appreciated. There was a different theme for each room- farms, banking, airplanes/cars/ trains, dinosaurs, music, art, magnets, submarines, rock climbing, tree houses and castles. The museum looks small upon waking in the entrance but there's an upstairs and downstairs. Kids can practice things such as changing a tire on a car, flying an air plane, riding a log down lava, banging on giant drums, and rock climbing. We spent two hours at the museum and did not have any down time exploring everything. It's a great way to spend an afternoon. The outside of museum has a splash pad too. read more

The weather in St. George can get brutal-so indoor activities for children is a big deal. The Children's Museum is a much needed reprieve from the heat on a hot summer day. It's also pretty nice in the winter when it gets a little cold, too! The building is an old renovated place turned into a playground/learning center for kids. I love the architecture and beauty that the building boasts, while also having a fun, playful atmosphere for the kids. Parking is plentiful within a short walk. And the grounds outside nearby are also lots of fun-including a water feature and decorative art. My only complaint would be the crowds. It was very congested recently and that makes it a little hard to navigate around the building and for the kids to be able to play freely. But, like with most things that are done well, it will draw a crowd. So try going on a less busy day for maximum enjoyment. read more

They have changed the fee to get in and kids have to have an adult with them at the tune of $7.00 where a year ago it was okay for adult to sit on front bench and wait for an older child. The front desk person is very rude. I'll take my granddaughter this one last time because she was looking forward to it but going forward I'll not bring them here. We are visiting St. George from Utah County and were sadly a little disappointed with this children's museum. It was very small and the theme rooms were run down and missing most of the items that make them interactive. Also a lot of the experiments and electronics were out of order. I did appreciate that they had lots of hand sanitizer and often asked people to please wear their masks. We did love the outdoor part where they had a fountain and water feature the kids could play in and cool down from the hot weather. They also had a carousel for only $1 per ride. read more

My wife and I attended the museum with our six-year-old granddaughter. It was truly a magical experience. The whole place is so beautifully decorated and themed-out. It invites the visitor to try this, play with that . . . explore and have fun. There are thirteen rooms: Construction, Farming, Transportation, Theater, Government, Store, Science, Music, Art, Reading Castle, Sports, Desert, and Pre-historic. We practically had to pry our granddaughter away from each room as she wanted to try out every activity multiple times. Many activities include putting on a uniform or other costume. Our favorite activities: piloting a jet plane, changing tires and other parts in the auto repair area, building large brick structures, coloring, shopping (as shopper and as clerk), riding the dino-coaster, rock wall, bean bag doss, wishing well, mining, and searching for dinosaur bones. The kid library is wonderful, and if you find something you like, you're welcome to keep it forever. The place and the staff were wonderful and made for an unforgettable visit. read more

While on vacation on st George this was the perfect little place to bring our daughter to play and enjoy some amazing play rooms. The cost of $5 entry is cheap. And that's amazing on its own. There is an upstairs and a downstairs. Upstairs was fun and each room had great stuff to play with. However downstairs was much more fun and had a lot more activities to do. It was very crowded but given that it was a free day for residents it's understandable. We would buy a season pass to This place. My daughter loved it and she's 3 Overall my daughter had a great time. -1/2 star because the machine to pay to get in was broken which made the wait longer (we went on the residents of st George get in Free day). And -1/2 star for not having wheelchair accessibility. Would be really difficult to bring a child in a wheelchair. read more

Such a fun museum for kids. My three kids range from 2-8 years old and they all enjoyed their experience. Upstairs the favorite room was the grocery store and downstairs they loved the art room. Each room has a different theme with lots of hands on activities where kids can role play while learning at the same time. Admission is 5$ for everyone two and older, including adults. Babies and one year olds are free. We live closer to Salt Lake City and the museum there is much more expensive. We visited on a Saturday so it was pretty crowded, especially around noon. Once it got too crowded we explored outside and there is a splash pad that would be fun during warm weather. If we lived in St. George we would either get a membership or go during the week when it's less crowded. Overall it was a fun place for the kids to play and imagine. read more

It was $5.00 a person. From my understanding past reviews say it use to be donation base only. Now they complain about the actual fee. To be clear, I understand why that peeves people off but have you looked at how huge this place is? Even if this place runs on charity, businesses still have to pay a lease, taxes, etc. $5.00 is VERY reasonable. We are out of towners so we always look for an indoor play place. Many times outdoor parks are overcrowded. Plus indoor play areas are usually curated to educate your child while having fun. This has two levels for your little one to run around and they are sectioned off by into learning zones such as music, building, etc. We came during the middle of the week so it wasn't crowded. read more

Where we live we have 2 children's museums by us, one that is small and charges $3 per child $2 per adult, but it's very run down. All the toys have extreme wear. The other location is huge and has a lot of things to play, clean and toys are new.... But it's $15-$20 per person to go to! So it was super nice to find this this spot!!!
