Dr. Dyson, Dr. Fox and the St Francis staff took care of our beloved best buddy, Socrates for most of his almost 14 years. From the front desk to the vet techs to Dr Dyson and Dr. Fox, Soc was well cared for. The love & compassion for their patients and owners are above and beyond. When it came time for Soc to ascend to the Rainbow Bridge, Dr. Dyson, along with one of the techs came to our house to do what was unfortunately necessary. They were so compassionate and kind during the procedure and it was easy to tell it affected them almost as much as us. We want to take this opportunity to thank Dr. Dyson and the entire staff at St Francis for being who they are and doing what they do for the entire community of Navarre and beyond. I've been taking my pets to St. Francis Vet in Navarre, FL for over 9 years now. My dogs absolutely love Dr. Dyson, Dr. Fox and all of the friendly staff. St. Francis goes above and beyond for my fur babies. We've had a few emergencies over the years and Dr. Dyson/Dr. Fox are always accommodating to my pets needs. My Boxer recently was stung and had an allergic reaction. Even though Dr. Dyson was doing only surgeries that day she saw him right away...and only charged me for the cost of the medicine. Their cost is affordable which helps because I have 2 busy Boxers that get into things they shouldn't. They even offer a military discount, which is amazing too! What a great place from the receptionist ladies to the techs. Yes I am a little late writing the review, but its all good. Let me tell you about this place... I really can't say nicer things about Dr. Dyson such a great asset to our community and for our four legged family members. As it would go even during Covid 19 the staff was very friendly, and caring. I loved the way they have gone way out of their way to stay open during COVID 19. I was so worried that my babies wouldn't get their meds and shots. They actually came out to your car and talked to your fur babies. They were amazing with my skish girl. She is scared of her own shadow. Love her to death. The tech came out called her by name and she jumped out of the car in utter excitement. She was so happy that behind that mask was a friendly voice she remembered. They have been taking care of her since she was a pup. I even called the vet up and asked questions about the breed and they were very knowledgable and told me what to look out for when purchasing a puppy. If you are new to the area and want a vet that treats you like family. Dr. Dyson is your vet. No matter how busy she is she will answer all your questions. I absolutely love this place. read more

We have been working with them for over two years trying to get our dogs issue controlled and have done nothing except pay money for outrageous tests and procedures. The front office is rude and treats you as if you are always an inconvenience. They answer questions sarcastically and facetiously. Overpriced services and medication! Get pre approved for a loan before taking your pet to this vet. Switched vets for convenience of location, that mistake costed us $$$. It's not that we're trying to be cheap on care for our four legged family member. We priced medication and services at a different vet and they quoted us a fraction of the cost of what we paid. We brought our boy, Bitty, (12 years old) into the clinic after a snake bite on 7/14/21. We told the staff upon coming in that he had been bitten by a snake. I told them he was holding up his paw and there was blood on it and he instantly went into shock. He has been outside all of 5 minutes. Dr. Dyson misdiagnosed him with a "heat seizure". We told them this was preposterous. He had been on pontoon boats with us multiple times in weeks past for 8 hours with no signs of heat exhaustion or anything else. She told us he would survive and just needed to be on fluids and oxygen. We went to Walmart to get groceries and go home and check on Bentley, our other baby. When we get home I notice he screamed when I would pet him. I found his neck very swollen and a bloody spot on his head. We immediately rushed him to the vet but by this time Bitty had been without antivenin for 2-3 hours. They diagnosed Bentley with a snake bite and then I asked they recheck my "heat seizure". They immediately came back with "oh there actually is a bite mark on Bitty's paw".. (later to be found a total of three bites, one on each paw and one on the back). Bitty died the next morning. Bentley had to stay on another 2 days until our 1 year wedding anniversary the 17th. Did I mention she'd taken him home without even letting us know after our explicit instructions to let us know if he needed to go home with her to let us come see him first or let us know one way or another and we heard nothing from her? Well, she sent her daughter up to bring him to us Saturday and she just gave him to us along with a $5,400 bill and didn't even explain the medications for Bentley. Fast forward to today, we go to pay the rest of the bill and pick up Bitty's ashes. My husband wanted to discuss the bill with her due to her misdiagnosis and not looking carefully enough to find not one but THREE fang marks delaying treatment by hours that could have saved his life. She was not only unwilling to do anything about his portion of the bill, but she screamed at us multiple times, said she didn't misdiagnose him, said we never mentioned a bite, and threatened to sue us for saying so on our own social media platforms where we said nothing but the truth. She then had her daughter tell us we couldn't even SEE and inspect the box and ashes of our baby until we paid her another $2,800+ dollars today. "You won't see him until you pay" she said with an evil sound to her voice. We went live on fb so the world could hear this insanity and Dr. Dyson came running out "get out, get out! Turn it off!!" It was an all over horrible experience. If I were you, I would NEVER take my baby to this clinic. It's completely unprofessional and they don't care about anything but money at the end of the day. Save yourself a lot of heartache, go somewhere else. I would hate to see this experience happen to anyone else. There's so much more I could add from the rude vet tech arguing with us over the fact that our boy was misdiagnosed to another telling us "it's not our problem to wait on people to come up with money" after we'd already agreed with Dyson that the bill couldn't be paid until funds hit the account on Tuesday. This was my vet for 8 years, until recently. I took my daughter's cat in because he was howling in pain the day before. I told the vet that I have a max of $150 for his condition, because I had just spent $700 at the very same vet two years ago for an obstructed bowel. They told me the cat had a blocked urinary track and the bill would be $530 for that day (not including the time he needed to spend boarded up there supervised). I told them he had a good life (he's 7 years old), but it was probably time for him to be euthanized and that's probably what I would have to do, but I would have to speak with my wife first. They told me to just give them the $150 I could afford, sign my rights over to the cat, and they would take care of it. **Say what??** I told them I would not do that and that I do not want them to touch the cat, that I am coming to get him. By the time I got there thirty minutes later, they had performed the $530 surgery, without my permission, and told me I could pay the bill or give them $150 and they would keep the cat. My wife eventually got the cat back a week later, for the cost of materials ($360). They called me the other day and asked if I got the "special diet" they prescribed for the the cat. I told them that I didn't get that but something equivalent. Today I got a notice on my door about the same cat from the Santa Rosa County Animal Services Department and I was told that St Francis told them that I had a dying cat that I was refusing to medicate, which is patently false. I set up an appointment with another vet clinic in the area, and they agreed to see the cat (and our other animals for their shots, which were due). They initially agreed, but they received a call from Dr. Dyson, said she was claiming ownership on the cat, and that they should call Animal Control Services as soon as I show up. Well, they called my wife back and said they didn't want to get involved in the drama and refused to accept us as customers. I don't blame them. We found another vet and got the necessary vaccinations. The above is what I have personally experienced. Avoid St. Francis at all costs. read more

ZERO stars, my family and I have had our family dog for less than 2 years. We used their kennel a few times. The last time we picked up our dog from the kennel, we noticed that she had a little pus coming from her left eye. We didn't think to much of it at the time, thinking dirt or maybe she just scratched it herself. Well over the weekend, it started getting worse and we brought our dog back to the vet Monday morning. The vet said that her eyes lids are hindering her ability to see and she would like to preform an operation. So the earliest was thurs. So we bought the eyes drops, kidneys pills and booked the operation. Thurs morning we drop our dog off for the four hour operation, 5 hours later (We call them) and they said that we haven't started yet due too her blood test and infection in her kidneys....well thanks for telling us, we have been worries the whole time and they haven't even started...so we drive up there and pick up our dog with more medicine and this special diet food ($$$) and the vet couldn't even come talk to us about the blood work or even the next day when we brought our other dog for the check up, nothing was said or mention about our sick dog. Well after this new found infection and special diet plan, our dog was never fixed and she would barely eat her food the first two days. After that she stop eating. We wanted a second opinion on the situation, so we had to wait till the vet opened up on Monday morning, so we could get the blood work and records. Monday morning we got the records and before we even left our home for the second vet, she died in her bed. My dog was in pain for her last two days of her young life....we took her to the new vet afterwards and showed the vet the blood work and she told us that our dog should have never left saint frans clinic and put on IV's and watched over night....will never set foot in that office again and wanted others to here my story for my descent family dog... read more

I can say nothing bad about the medical service...We never made it that far. I scheduled a surgery for our pet. The office said they were 30 days out, I said fine. The staff was not sure about when to fast or if we should. I never received a straight answer. I asked the breeder and used their guidelines. Now the big day. I arrive at 7:05 and get gum on my shoe, that is very best part of this experience from here on it was a pathetic display of rudeness and lack caring to patrons. If they treat people who can speak, comment, and review in this manner. I truly fear how they treat pets that can not speak for themselves. The office manager was unprofessional and rude when I complained about employee she walked over to the employee (they were in a clear glass room) started talking pointed to where I was standing and were giggling. They had nothing ready and kept complaining about how many surgeries they had that day. I asked for paperwork I was told I needed to wait awhile. There was only one other patron in the office the other eight people were employees. This was a big mess of unorganized rude people. My point again is if they treat people like this how do they treat your pet? This vet. may be great but my family and pets will never know we never made it past the staff. read more

St. Francis Vet Center has the best doctors and staff. I have read some of the reviews and I understand some of the frustration, but I had a very bad experience from one of the vet offices in this area that always gets high praises. I have friends that have also switched to St. Francis because of bad experiences from other places. Dr. Dyson is one of the most compassionate vets I have ever met. They have another Dr. there now, Dr. Cornett that is wonderful. I absolutely love all the doctors and staff at St. Francis and would never take my pets anywhere else. read more

I have been using Dr Dyson since relocating to Navarre a couple of years ago. My husband and I met her when we had a pet that had to be euthanized. We immediately liked her. She was compassionate and kind to us during a very sad time in our lives. We have 4 other pets/family members that she treats, 2 cats and 2 dogs. One of my dogs has Addison's disease which was diagnosed before we started using Dr Dyson. My baby was extremely overweight and stayed hungry constantly from the steroids my previous vet had prescribed her. Dr Dyson has worked closely with us on my fur baby's medications and diet and has not only prolonged her life but has given her a better quality as well. I'm honestly appalled by the negative reviews that I have read on this site regarding this clinic.They even ask you if it's an emergency before they put you in hold when you call their office. In my opinion, Dr Dyson, along with her staff, are not only knowledgeable but extremely compassionate as well. I rate this clinic with 5 stars and they deserve it! I recommend them to anyone that needs to see a wonderful veterinarian for their pets. read more

Don't be fooled by Dr. Dyson, the owner of this vet clinic. She is friendly and disarming and you think "I couldn't put my beloved pet in better hands." But it's a facade. This clinic is obsessed by profit.St. Francis is all about money and not the proper medical treatment of pets. Some of the staff is rude and dismissive. I took my five-year old cat in for breathing problems. A vet gave him an X ray and said he could have a heart valve problem, but she wasn't sure. Yet, she assured me that cats rarely had heart failure. $200. A year later, my cat is breathing heavily and I didn't know if he would survive. Dr. Dyson examines him and then says "I'll have to do some research", despite the record from a year earlier. X ray. I am told he has an enlarged heart, and given two pills to give him. I asked how long he would live and Dr. Dyson said she didn't know. No pills were given to him before I took him home. In addition, a special diet was prescribed, cans and dry food. A case of this food was $50 and the dry food was $30. Another $80.NO advice on how to give my cat the pills which cost $20. The exam cost $250.00 I only bought two cans of the food, because I didn't know if the cat would eat it. And he didn't . And he wouldn't take the medicine. I ground it up and smeared it on his face with yogurt which traumatized him. All Dyson's office would say is give it to him in his food or a Greenie ( pill pocket).But he could smell it and wouldn't eat any food that had the medicine in it. Greenies are distasteful to most pets, are unhealthy and should be taken off the market. Two months after this visit to Dr.Dyson, my cat suffered a painful heart attack over a 30 minute period. I could do nothing as my cat repeatedly fell over and screamed. Mercifully, he finally died. This did not have to happen. Dr. Dyson, an experienced vet, should have told me my cat didn't have long to live. I would have put him to sleep two months earlier. But I'm not the expert. Dr. Dyson is the expert. Or claims to be. DO NOT TAKE YOUR BELOVED PETS TO THIS VET. read more

St. Francis Veterinary Center provides the best veterinary services for animals in the Gulf Breeze/Navarre/Pensacola area. From the moment you walk in the front door, the staff is very courteous and shows real concern for your pets. The Vet Technicians are very caring, and make it a point to speak to the animals each time they walk through the waiting room. Not only are they friendly, but they are also informative and take the time to address your pet's needs, whether in person or on the phone. The Veterinary Doctors are great, and Dr. Dyson takes plenty of time to discuss your concerns and evaluate your pet's condition. She gave me the most comprehensive assessment of my pet's skin condition, and made recommendations that have resulted in significant improvement in his coat and skin. When we revisited a couple weeks later to pick up more medication, she remembered my dog from his first visit and took the time to comment how much better his coat looked. The fact that she remembered him shows how they take a real interest in your pet. I would recommend the clinic to anyone in the area looking for a high-quality, knowledgeable, and caring veterinarian. read more

This place does not deserve a rating. Dr Dyson needs to go back to school to further her education. My yellow lab of 8 years had to be put down because of overlooking his blood work prior to a surgery on his teeth. I have all the copies of the blood work, records and records from the emergency Vet and from St Francis. When we had to rush our lab to the emergency vet at 10:30 pm for care, they noticed he was unresponsive to treatment and noticed his blood work was abnormal. The Emergency vet mentioned that my dog was diabetic (my family never knew that since my local Vet never told us.) and his glucose level was at 660 the night we rushed him to the emergency clinic. The doctor here at St. Francis admitted she overlooked the blood work the day of surgery. In which normally if there are any red flags, the vet is suppose to contact the owners. The records say that my lab's glucose was at 377 the day of surgery (not suppose to be higher than 143) and she mentioned she should not have preformed surgery if she had known that. She overlooked our lab's blood work and continued surgery anyways. My dog got very sick due to being diabetic, had kidney failure, pancreatitis and lost all motor skills. Unfortunately, he was unresponsive to emergency care and on September 7th, 2015 my dog had to be euthanized. My lab should have lived a longer life but his life was robbed from this place because we trusted this doctor to keep my dog safe and healthy. She failed! read more
