She was treated with dignity & respect in her last days. All of the staff were informative on every move taken with her & spoke to us daily giving us updates and even reached out to the family to be sure we were ok & if we needed anything! The facility & her room was so clean, comfortable and nothing like a hospital room, with enough space for overnight family to stay if needed. A screened in porch allowing some fresh air into the room affording the chance to be outdoors while still remaining close by! The gratitude we have for this facility is beyond words or star ratings! They will all be forever in our hearts ! THANK YOU just doesn't seem to be enough.

They really consider the families concerns and the patients wishes. The rooms are very big with couch, private bathroom and patio attachment. This location is also beautifully landscaped which helps to keep the atmosphere calm.

Nurse Stephanie and CNA Dessarae went above and beyond to ensure our mom was comfortable, respected, and treated with dignity every step of the way. Stephanie was honest, knowledgeable, and incredibly relatable. She spoke to us in a way that was clear and real, helping us understand what to expect--especially when we felt overwhelmed. She was also consistently available, making us feel like we were never alone in the process. During a moment of crisis, she truly went above and beyond--responding quickly, taking control with calm confidence, and guiding our mom through what was a very scary situation. Her steady presence and ability to act with both urgency and compassion made all the difference. Dessarae provided hands-on care with such kindness and gentleness. She treated our mom as if she were her own family, always attentive to comfort and the small details that made a big difference. She also cared deeply for our family, offering comfort and reassurance throughout. Her warmth and compassion will remain in our hearts. Together, they created an environment of peace and dignity that we will never forget. Their care extended beyond our mom to our entire family, offering comfort, understanding, and genuine empathy when we needed it most. We are truly thankful for Stephanie and Dessarae, and for the support of the VITAS Hospice team. Their dedication and compassion made an immeasurable difference in our experience.

The compassion and attentiveness provided by the whole VITAS Team Staff was no doubt remarkable during a very difficult time in our lives. When my Mom's Healthcare Oncologist informed us that we needed to begin coordinating Hospice Care...VITAS Team swiftly responded and came to our home that evening. Not really understanding Hospice Care a representative arrived within hours to help explain a care strategy. The experience of preparing and planning for the needed care of a loved one was not easy. The VITAS Team really gave our family amazing support through a very emotionally time from early Home Hospice Care to final Facility Hospice Care located at Rockledge, FL. The VITAS Team ensured my Mom was comfortable through the entire process of care. VITAS Representatives and Teams listed below were all superb in our experience! Yes, we lost our Mom but do know, she no longer must deal with the pain of cancer, other illnesses, or worries. Again, thanks to the whole VITAS Team for their outstanding care and support provided to our Mom/Family. God Bless You All! This is the place…read more You want a place like this when you are in need of hospice. I have never, in my years, found one location where everyone is as capable and compassionate as the people in this hospice facility. From the security guard to the janitor, every doctor, every nurse, every aid and the social worker too. I spent the four last days of my father's life here. I would not have wanted him anywhere else. Informative, professional and kind. I want to know a place like this will be waiting for me in 40 years. Thank you, St. Francis. For these past four days, as well as the past four months of monitored care at both Parish Hospital and a LTC Facility. THANK YOU.

They sent people to my house at 10:00 p.m. unannounced. I had to call the sheriff. They never asked questions of appropriateness, the staff even admitted this organization was very poorly run by management and it was very disorganized. I finally was forced to quit the care I was receiving, it got so bad. Do not go with this hospice. They Bragg because they are the only 5 star hospice in the state.....but definitely they are NOT. I gave them 1 star only because there was not an option for a zero star rating. State of Florida needs to review this hospice. This is my review. I am a Registered Nurse of 50 years and still am, have been a staff nurse, a team leader, a nurse manager and a Director of Nursing. I was complemented for my ability to give excellent care during this time. This is a very professional review of this organization. Sorry it could not be a 5 star but it is an honest review. Hospice liaison said "he is not ready for Hospice". Gave us brochures and went on her way. Husband was moved to Encompass, I did not feel he was ready for rehab, that night Encompass called me moving him back to Martin South hospital he was not doing well. Martin South called me that night and were sending him to Martin North for critical care. Next AM I went to hospital he was not doing well, was treated for several days they moved him out of critical care. My intuition thought they made a mistake; I was with him every day he was in the hospital watching his body slowly going into giving up. Talked to hospice again and again she said he is not ready. I could not believe what she said after looking at my husband. After couple days I said stop with the massive poking of needles, trying to draw blood and he is in pain. I left that evening he was going to sleep he said goodbye love you, he had always said goodnight. I prayed for him; I knew that would be the last of his pain. That morning he was in coma they moved him to a private room and then called hospice I said ok maybe they will learn something from this. We all said our goodbyes then hospice showed up and he passed away that evening. Now hospice wants to help us with our grieving, I went through the hardest time of my life. Don't believe the rosy picture they paint! Maybe a big $ donner helps with the fancy brochures but not hospice care. God took care of my husband and will take care of me.

Unfortunately, who you invite into your home can be disastrous. In all honesty, our first experience with Vitas for my Father-in-Law (not necessarily this office--Vitas has many facilities around Central Florida) was not that great because WE were inexperienced, and the first health care attendant they provided was brand new. Also, it was all over in 48 hours--it takes time to figure out what services are available, and how to get services and equipment when you need them. Still, the net impact of our first experience was positive so when my Mother-in-Law began declining quickly we again called Vitas. This time we had the benefit of our previous experience, and Grandma was in hospice almost two weeks. Most importantly, we had Sunshine. Sunshine (her real name) arrived, and let me say that she is the embodiment of her name in every sense. She's an experienced RN and a bundle of energy, all smiles, hugs and good advice. We were spellbound! Shortly, we began meeting our care providers, and we also began asking for several of them by name. Yaira arrived early on the scene and helped bathe and dress Grandma. We met Candy B. who is wonderful (very sweet and patient). At our request, she worked several extra shifts for us. Cindy is wonderful as well, and she advised us that Suzette, who was the brightest part of this company our first time around was still working for the company on weekends while she completes the last semester of her studies, when she too will earn her RN diploma. We asked for her, and she was here for us again as well. Candy and Suzette each worked at least three 12-hour shifts. It's important to note that Dr Pham, the physician who attended, came to our home at least three times. Twice she was here well in excess of a half hour. With a wonderful bedside manner, she spent as much time with us as with Grandma. The young men who delivered the bed, oxygen concentrator and supplies were also very considerate. They also returned immediately after my Mother-in-Law passed to remove that equipment, which is more important than it sounds as I write this. The days following a death are difficult and moving from hospice to planning a funeral in another state is a nightmare. Both of our loved ones passed in our home with all of their family at their side. That was our goal. This is an event each of us must face, but knowing that we were there for them every step of the way provided peace and comfort to all of us--not just our departed parents. Thank you Vitas for making this possible.
