Wow, do not miss this! If you're castle hopping around the Fife area, put this on your list. And do not skip this as you flip through the Historic Scotland booklet of all the amazing landmarks to see around Scotland.
I'll admit, it's a bit of a hard find to actually get to. You'll need to park in the residential area and take a short walk down the path which will lead you into the beach.
There, will be located St Bridget's Kirk, a 12th century medieval church right on the shoreline. St Bridget's was built in the 1100s to serve as the parish church of Dalgety. Today it is managed by Historic Scotland and is free and accessible to the public.
This is now amongst my faves. It's peaceful, well maintained and you can go through the church to explore. There are some old graves on site and also a seating area with table if you want to have lunch looking out onto the water.
