Hubby decided to try a jerk food place for take out. We had the jerk chicken dinner on 10/10/25. I loved how neatly presented the food was in the portioned container. Food was delicious and plentiful. Dinner came with rice and beans, yams and macaroni and cheese. We devoured it and we look forward to getting something from them again. Extensive menu and they deliver through GrubHub, UberEats and DoorDash. I want to try the oxtail dinner next. Thanks Saint Bess Jerk Hub, we'll eat from you soon again.

The food made my soul happy! From the moment I walked in, I knew it wasn't just dinner--it was an experience. The walls were a canvas of vibrant art, and I was instantly pulled into a vibe. To top it off, Chris was singing with such a beautiful voice that I had to pause mid-step--he literally stopped, blushed, and the whole place felt like the scene. Service? Quick and smooth. My plate hit the table in under 10 minutes, piping hot, looking like it came straight off a food magazine spread. Three jerk chicken tacos with a side of jerk sauce sat in front of me like they were waiting to change my life. The chicken? Juicy. Flavorful. Tender. For white meat, I almost didn't believe it. The wild part? I didn't need the sauce. But when I dipped into that jerk sauce? Whew--flavor took flight to a whole new level. Vibes on 100. Food on 1000. Definitely a spot I highly recommend you try.

Stopped by St. Bess Jerk and decided to try something different and new. I ordered the chicken alfredo, and wow, I was not ready for how good it was. This wasn't your typical bland or overly heavy alfredo. It was full of bold flavor, with spices that hit in the best way possible. The chicken was incredibly juicy and seasoned all the way through. You could really taste the jerk influence in every bite. It had a perfect mix of heat, savory spices, and a little smokiness that made it super addictive. I kept finding something new with each forkful, which made it exciting to eat. The pasta itself was coated in a rich, creamy sauce that didn't feel too heavy. What really stood out was this hint of citrus like a touch of lemon or lime, that gave it a fresh, bright twist. It balanced everything out and made the dish feel lighter while still being super satisfying. I've honestly never had alfredo like this before. The portion size was solid, definitely enough to feel full or take some home. Service was friendly, and the food came out quickly. I'm already planning to come back and try the jerk chicken next, but that alfredo is definitely on my go-to list.

I feel I got cheap for the lunch special 3 cut pieces of chicken and it supposed to be to be a 1/4 white. I will not be going back. Not worth $14

Wings were tender with the perfect amount of spice and charred. The yams are a must, rice was slightly undercooked and the macaroni was satisfying. Extra jerk sauce was included without asking. I'll definitely be back. Order ahead, I used grubhub and it was ready in 10-15m. Give them a try, this is a great option in the area!

My first time coming further west on the 9 for Jerk Chicken and I'm definitely coming back. I had The jerk chicken dinner with side of Mac and sweet potatoes. When I tell you that I scraped every morsel of food off the black tray... I was well pleased with everything. They're in my top 3 for jerk on the south west side of Chicago.

Yes I'm sorry I ate it all. Lol I can show y'all a snippet. lol

The people are always polite and nice when you go in for pick up, even when I order online each and every time my food has been absolutely delicious. Please try this location in Burbank. So worth the price.

We were in the area and craving jerk food, so we came here. The girl working the counter was very friendly. The restaurant was clean. They do share a parking lot with other businesses. I ordered that jerk chicken dark dinner. It came with red beans and rice and I chose macaroni and cheese and mashed potatoes. My dinner was $12. I thought it was definitely worth the price and the food was pretty good. My only complaint was there was a lot of small bones in the chicken and kind of hard to eat at times. Portions were big on the side dishes. My fiancé enjoyed his curry chicken dinner. His was $15 and he chose cabbage and plantains.

    Proper mask wearing.

Reasonably priced for the food that youre getting, including their grilled chicken wings made to order. Heaping portions for their dinners, as you get your protein + rice and peas...and two additional sides! Loved the seasoning of the jerk (not too spicy). Mac is decent. Yam was good to me, but too sweet for my friend. Greens were good to my friend, but needed more spice to me. Overall, sides are solid, but may need to be doctored to one's preference. The oxtail tamales, highlighted in the social post I saw, was my friend's favorite, saying they were filling, not dried out, and seasoned well. I loved the jerk salmon egg rolls: it's 3 egg rolls (or 6 halves) of seasoned salmon in an egg roll wrapper that's not too greasy or overly fried. Friendly service. Quick turnaround on the food. I'll be back.

When we opened the trays at the event, there was NO chicken, just sides. We had to scramble mid event to find chicken fingers from a nearby spot, spending more money and dealing with unnecessary stress. While the cost of the chicken was refunded, it didn't cover the inconvenience, added expense, or embarrassment. For a catering order at a major event, accuracy is critical. This mistake caused a lot of chaos, and I wouldn't rely on them again for any important occasion.

My fellow traveling house heads trusted my foodie instincts, but there was a little skepticism until our rideshare driver gave it his enthusiastic vote of confidence! Garifuna Flava is a Black-owned restaurant celebrating the rich flavors and traditions of Belizean, Caribbean, Latin, and Indigenous Garifuna cuisine. The restaurant isn't fancy, yet it is warm, welcoming, and one of the owners even took time to share the history of the Garifuna people with one of my friends. And making the experience even more authentic was the soundtrack of Caribbean and reggae music, which had us swaying, singing along, and feeling right at home like a spot in the Caribbean or Brooklyn. As for the food, it was DELISH! I enjoyed tender oxtails with yams, fried sweet plantains, rice, and stew beans. It was comfort food that tasted like a home-cooked meal. A nice cold Ting was the perfect pairing. I couldn't resist sampling a dining partner's shrimp dish, which was also flavorful. Garifuna Flava is located in Chicago Lawn, often referred to locally as Marquette Park on Chicago's Southwest Side. The neighborhood is home to the beautiful 323-acre Marquette Park, designed by the Olmsted Brothers (sons of the designer of Central Park), and holds an important place in the city's civil rights history. Thank you, Garifuna Flava, for a delicious meal and a cultural experience I'll remember. I'll definitely be back. But don't just take my word for it, go experience the yummyliciousness for yourself! Mmmm... #BonAppetit! Cheers!
