Admission team is courteous and nice and explain everything. Pre admission testing has wonderful medical professionals who are professional, kind and thorough. Pre Op took such good care of me, they were very thorough, patient with me and calming my nerves pre surgery and they didnt try to rush me. They didnt treat me like cattle just trying to push me in and push me out. The anesthesiologist Harper explained everything to me step by step. Ive never seen anesthesia really explain what theyre going to do and that made feel very comfortable and calm. He didnt mind answering my questions and took very good care of me while I was under. Dr Cheatwood, my obgyn has got to be an angel sent from heaven. She professional, kind, friendly courteous and one of the most thorough doctors ive ever seen, she truly wants to help her patients and make them feel better. If it wasnt for her, we probably would have never caught a few things and she handled my surgery with the utmost respect and care. MOST of the post op team was ok. I hate to say anything bad about anybody but unfortunately I did come across one nurse in preop that wouldnt listen to me when I said I struggle with low bp until I began to crash.She took my bp ONCE after I said that and never kept the bp cuff on me cycling. When I brought up any concerns she dismissed them and was trying to rush me so she could get me out of there. Ive been a nurse a long time and ive never ever not gotten bps on a patient post op snd when the doctor ordered me a 1000ml of NS she only gave me 500 and said "ok, thats good enough" and let me go home with a bp of 80s over 40s. ive never not given anyone an abdominal binder after a major female surgery I had, ive never not said that one drop of urine was enough. You always ALWAYS make sure a patient can urinate after removing a catheter and after have surgery that has resulted in a lot of swelling. ive never dismissed my patients concerns. I was not happy with my post op nurse and I thanked my own nursing degree that I was able to know what needed and should have been done. other than my post op nurse, everyone was more than what I was expecting and so so good at what they do. id still highly recommend.

I changed insurances recently and, as a result, Integris tried to bill me more than 3X what I last paid for the echo if I paid by cash. If it was billed to my insurance, it would have been more than 12x what they billed my last insurer. There would have been nothing new about the echo - same old echo. But because they're billing a different insurance, they've jacked up the price. Please know that if you're going to Integris, you're probably overpaying!

We were called back , asked question by a young doctor. She implied that alot of doctors miss diagnose this kind of pain. She didn't believe it was what our doctor said. They had us go to another room to wait, next to man in cuffs, another smelly one. So......things changed after scan, because our doctor was correct. He was admitted and surgery the same day. So emergency experience was not so good. I would choose another for next time, for sure. Parking is still a mess also for main SSM.

A few months later it was back up to 2000 dollars and no one would tell me why. They will pretend to NOT hear you when you repeatedly ask for an itemized bill and encourage you to get on a payment plan, once you do ask for an AUTOMIZED payment plan so you don't have to worry about it anymore, they will not and end up calling you every month. I would call and have to give them my info every time and ask to confirm that they had marked my plan as auto billing, never happened and they would just lie that it "wasn't on their file notes." Eventually got sent to a debt collector because they are liars and would only call during the middle of the work day.

Upon entering you are given a pager to wait for checkin, once checked in you are given another pager in your specialty area before your appointment. Everything went as scheduled very smooth process and the medical workers are attentive and have good customer service skills. Mercy is a great hospital full of scriptures and hope.

The negatives: paper towel dispenser broken, water faucet difficult to use and felt like it would break, and had to ask multiple times about water and getting the coban off. I went with my mom to MRI and they did not grab me on the way out so I missed the update from the doctor. When I made it back my family was hurriedly packing up since my mom was being discharged. My dad had no idea what the doctor said and my mom was in pain. The whole time felt great about her care and then they blew it the end. My sister said the doctor relayed she needs two more tests and doctor visits, but it all feels very vague with more questions than answers.
