To me it felt as discrimination. Don't recommend it at all. If the want young toddlers to be soldiers then that's not the right school for my boy. I thought a school was supposed to teach not discriminate.

My last year in 2016 we had an actual Trump rally... Anyway many teachers turn a blind eye to bullying, I have been physically assaulted three times at the school. One in front of a teacher and the other in front of the two acting principals at the time. I had a size 12 football cleats and other items repeatedly thrown at my face in the middle of a class speech in front of my teacher when I was a 94 lb 5'2 freshmen. The other assault I will not disclose due to the people involved. But from those experiences with witness nothing happened nor was I asked by anyone one if I was okay. But I was relieved nothing happened from those incidents due to what occurred when I was a middle schooler at Westminster Christian School. I was a small under weight 4'5 ft middle schooler. After getting after-school help, I was on my way to my sports practice when a group of 4 male upper class students grabbed me, forced my books down and one of them began humping my rear, forcing me to submit while I tried to break free. They let me go and laughed at me while I ran away . That was not the traumatizing part. It is how the school dealt with what happened that traumatized me. The next day, i got a call to go to the principals office where they made me face the older boy that had humped me. This had caught me off guard, I could not speak due to the shock and intimidation. There I was alone in a room full of large men making me explain what had happened. The part that shocks me to this day was when the acting high school principal and superintendent made me act out what the older boy had done to me on both of them, because one person was not enough. Essentially they made a 11 year old hump two older men, without asking for permission or if I was comfortable doing so, which I was not. I am still do this day shocked a "Christian" school would handle something like this so poorly.

The longevity and dedication of the staff are truly remarkable--when I enrolled my grandson, I went to register him with my now 27-year-old son, and Ms. Roz, who taught my son decades ago, immediately recognized him. Ms. Ellie, the director, has grown with the center from an entry-level position to her current leadership role, which speaks volumes about the positive environment and staff retention. I have complete confidence that my grandson is safe, well-cared for, and genuinely loved by his teachers. He is excelling academically--already beginning to read at age four--and I credit KinderCare for his impressive progress. The communication from the center is excellent. Ms. Ellie is always responsive, approachable, and goes above and beyond to address any questions, even after hours. She listens carefully and clearly takes great pride in her work, which is reflected in the nurturing atmosphere she helps create. KinderCare at Deerwood is truly exceptional, and I highly recommend them to any family seeking a caring, high-quality early learning environment. The center also offers wonderful additional programs, such as a cooking class that teaches valuable life skills--I recently signed my grandson up and am excited for him to participate. This program is worth every penny spent. The outcome is the best investment I have ever made.

I called kindercare and Ellie, the director, was always there to support me and answer any questions I had. She assured me they would treat my daughter as one of their own and make sure she was comfortable before making any drastic changes. I was scared to switch her to a new daycare but it was the best decision ever. From her first day in Kindercare, she was eating, drinking her milk, she looks so happy when picking her up, it's so clear that the attention and care she's getting here is what she needed. They've helped her learn to walk, say her first words and she is now transitioning to the toddler class. Everyone from Ellie (the director) to all of her teachers are amazing, down to earth, and so nurturing and loving. You won't regret putting your child here, nothing more important than knowing your baby is being loved and well taken care of every day. - They cook their food there daily, have several playgrounds for the different age groups, and are very secure with two different doors that require a code to go inside. The director is always there and always answers the phone for anything you need.

My son is in the 3 year old class and when I tell you he loves his teacher and you can tell that the techers love their kids but they also can and do maintain discipline. A chef comes and cooks, not microwaves or thaws food, or gets it from a package...a chef cooks for the kids!!!! A music teacher comes every Monday to teach the individual classes their own lesson and the school evne offers extra curricular activities during school hours that for a nominal extra fee, the kids can participate. For example, my son was able to participate in soccer with a gentleman that teaches kids for hundreds of dollars at a regular field at 11:00am, since he's already in school and I'm at work and the guy teaches them as a small group in their own individual age groups and levels so its not like my baby had 6 year olds kicking him in the face with a hard ball. Speaking of recess, they have 2 separate areas on the playground that are fenced off fo r children under 3 and those 3 and older. This way, babies are able to get outside and still enjoy smaller toys and activities without bigger kids pushing, pulling and everyone has something to do. And for the place looking like it is a converted home, it has a huge playground area and is VERY clean. The restrooms are cute with small little doors and lowered sinks and toilets for the kiddies and posters about washing hands and such. Lowered water fountains and all the classrooms are open roofed, so it looks like cordoned off pens for each room but this way, all the kids can sleep at one time during nap and they turn off the lights in the one large open room and everyone has the same sort of schedule. What else??? There is so much. They also participate in Scholastic bookclubs so you get all the opportunities to get great discounts on those books and the school gets a portion whenever you buy stuff. Its very clean, every teacher is polite and they have a separate building for babies under 3 which I honestly havent been in except for very early mornings when I have had to drop my son off but its roomy and clean and comfy in there too. All in all, this school especially for the price which I cant believe I didn't mention, is a great deal!!! I think its something like $110 a week which I'm sorry, is a friggin steal for Miami schools. I havent had a problem with parking or anything because they have a circular driveway that people just jump out, drop the baby and GO! The administration, Ms. Hoover, is great. She can pull up your file e xplain payments, balances, etc in a heartbeat. She is very informed. The place is filled with books and the kids all act as though they all enjoy being there. I rarely see children cry when they are dropped off. All in all, I cannot praise this place enough. Its a wonderful prep to getting kids into a fulltime program in elementary school.
