I don't have kids so I dont know about that but I saw they have a program for the kids. The main guy gave a really good talk that was relateable and applicable to my life, so I will probably go back again. It was cool to experience something new and different from the last time I went to a church.

I look for two main things: strong teachings and energetic music. The teachings so far are just ok. There are moments of quality. But be prepared for typical conservative Christian rhetoric. Honestly, I get more out of the podcast from my old church. As for the music, it's just disappointing. I think they could be great but the music selections are incredibly outdated. The community they form looks like it is great - I haven't involved myself yet. But I'm not sure I can get past the issues above.

Finally a few weeks ago we tried WP and I was surprised by how many friendly faces greeted me. One of the pastors even came over to greet me at the beginning of the service. The kindness everyone has shown us has meant a lot. We've attended church there three times now and our kids love it! And I can feel the Holy Spirit! I think we've found our church home here in PA.

I was quickly disillusioned by each pastor as being nothing more than a business manager. Then one day I saw a story about something that was going on at Westminster that I attended and got to meet the pastors and a group of members and the atmosphere was unlike any of the others. I was encouraged to participate is anything they had to offer and was welcomed to join, and I gladly did. With so many churches around it can be confusing when it comes to choosing one for you and your family like it was for me. I think most people simply choose the closest church and that could be a mistake. I can save you the research by highly recommending a visit to Westminster!
