They claimed to have delivered the package to my "FRONT DOOR" and included a picture of the front of my house from the street 100 feet away. I found the package, a 6 by 10 inch "WHITE" mailing envelope a day later, over 30 feet from my front porch, plus another 30 feet from the front door in the snow. Which the snow of course is also "WHITE" If they are going to throw the package on my front lawn in the snow then at least have the common decency to say so. Dont LIE about it say you left it at the "FRONT DOOR". Their drivers do this constantly, they leave it at the neighbors, at my barn door. at the shed door, on the steps, every where but at the front door where they say they do. Just take a look at the picture and tell me if that is "At the front door".

The tow driver was very respectful when he got to our house which was 30 miles away. The driveway has a short incline. He showed concern about not damaging our driveway. He took the car off the bed and drove it up the driveway. I don't think you see that often. I think their price was worth it. I can't compare because we haven't had a need for a tow in years. I highly recommend Jake's Towing and Recovery.

Sure, we all have something to complain about when the topics of the Post Office or our mail come…read moreup. So, it's only fair that when something good happens that we share that experience. We subscribe to Informed Delivery with the post office so we can see what mail and packages are scheduled to be delivered to us. In this case, my wife had ordered an item online from a company in Salt Lake City, UT. The company provided us with a USPS tracking number, and we began expecting to receive the package as soon as for days later. Having the tracking number, we could see the path that the package was taking. After it left Salt Lake City it went to Westborough, MA. That took three days. It's my understanding that virtually all packages coming to Clifton Park, NY go to Westborough first. The next morning it was at the Albany Distribution Center. Based upon prior experiences, we expected to have the package delivered the day after arriving in Albany. However, that's when something went haywire. The same day it arrived in Albany it was sent to Springfield, MA. If that wasn't odd enough, later that day it was again sent back to Albany. It then sat at the Albany Distribution Center for five (count'em, ONE, TWO, THREE, FOUR, FIVE) days! I decided to visit the local post office to ask if they could look into getting the package out of Albany. This was apparently not a simple request. The clerk at the counter was more than happy to look into it but could not come up with any more information than I was already aware of. He went to a fellow employee, Dee Dee, for assistance. Dee Dee said she would contact Albany and call me with the information she uncovered. Sure enough, the next day Dee Dee called to let us know that the package was located and would likely be delivered the following day. On the new expected day for delivery Informed Delivery indicated that the package was out for delivery and should arrive by 3 PM. At about noon, Dee Dee called to let us know the package was out for delivery and fifteen minutes later it was in our mailbox. That was a total of ten days since the order was placed. But I want to take this moment to publicly thank the staff at our local post office for their perseverance in helping us receive our package.
