As a result, the schools are not considered an issue right now (no mention that I heard in the mayoral race). But the schools are pretty mediocre (some schools are great, as good as any private school education while others are very troubled) and the "main office" is TERRIBLE. No homework, no projects he done in class, no nothing. When I would pick him up all I would hear is how he had done this or done that and gotten in trouble but like I said nothing was ever sent home telling me this so when asked about it his teacher had no answer... So supposedly my son was getting in trouble all the time so I took it upon myself to remove him from that school and he now goes with my step son to wellington and he comes home with drawings and just all types of paoers. He has yet to get in trouble a single time so I'm starting to wonder if they just make there kids sit there all day and don't let them do anything... I am so glad I got my son out of here!!

I have two children; both have attended Community Montessori for a few years now…read more Since it is a smaller school (at least as compared to public school) and because students generally have the same classmates year after year, the children get to know each other and get along very well together. There appears to be a true sense of community in the classroom, and both my kids are happy and comfortable here. Both of them really do enjoy going to this school, and I believe that is due primarily to this community atmosphere. Academically they are also doing well. Montessori education was not a system I was familiar with before my children enrolled, but it seems to be working well; I am very pleased with their progress and even more so with their interest in learning. Really, though, I believe the learning environment is far more important than the teaching method. In my opinion, kids can learn through Montessori, traditional or any other education system so long as they are in a supportive and comfortable environment. Community Montessori provides this well.

The office staff is great, the principal is the best elementary principal I've ever seen. He knows every child. And is highly involved in all school functions. Doesn't pass it to an assistant. One of my children had been to several schools prior to stonewall during elementary years due to my husbands job. This was the only school he was ever happy at. Teachers are great and so much parent participation. Small town feel but at a bigger school with all the modern technology the kids need. You could not ask for a better school for your kids to start off at. You won't want them to leave!

Single. Year. It didn't stop. We told Principal Adam Kirk about my situation but he just sat behind the desktop computer - not caring about anything whatsoever. I ended up being forced to switch my FAVORITE class and they kept the bully in that class. I had to go to a "bad kid" class because they thought I was making things up. Only certain teachers were good. For example, Mrs. Heaton, Mrs. Burks, Mrs. Doty, Mrs. Pulmano, Mr. Chenault, Ms. Campbell, Mrs. Brooks, Mrs. Katie, and a few others... I don't recommend this for any child - especially any child that might have insecurities. I was bigger than most kids when younger, so the bullying made me feel bad about myself!

On busy days, it does get fairly congested though so make sure you leave early. The fields themselves are nice with an exception for a few that are pretty lumpy. Overall, this is a nice complex!
