I have been going to this location for decades now. They have new employees constantly! The only…read moreemployee that was there for any length of time was Bonnie, who had been there for 17 years very knowledgeable and a complete delight to encounter. There was never a day she was ever rude to anybody or abrupt, curt, sarcastic, nasty, mean or any of that. I went into this petstation in Tahoe city, Ca yesterday to buy one of my clients some food for her dog and the employee I dealt with whose name is "angel" was definitely not an angel. She was abrupt, sarcastic, condescending, and claimed I was rude and she just walked away so the assistant manager could "take care of me!" Well little does she know the assistant manager knows me and knows I'm not rude, but she had such an attitude of extreme proportion, I emailed one of the owners to have him correct her attitude and her tone which was completely unacceptable! She asked me questions. I answered her questions. She did not listen to my questions. She claimed whatever she wanted to claim which is completely bogus and out of line instead of being an employee, listening to the customer and helping the customer she made a point of being very difficult and impossible to communicate with!!! I have to say it really was alarming to me that they had someone working there with such a nasty disposition!

The store is located in the cutest little town of Truckee amongst coffee shops, restaurants and souvenir stores. From the moment we walked in we were greeted with a nice warm welcome from the staff and even Bentley, the store mascot! From the moment I walked in I noticed just how packed this lil store is. From floor to ceiling packed with all of the cutest toys, treats, clothes, carriers and so much more! This was mid September and they had to cutest Halloween toy display. I walked around for at least 30 mins just looking and deciding on some goodies! Lilikoi and I ended up with a Halloween mini lamb chop, a purple rubber bone and a beanie! All great quality and things that she is loving still to this day. I highly recommend visiting this store even if you don't have a dog the friendliness of the staff is all worth it!
