Then they would replace it because they state: Battery replacements. Batteries are considered a consumable product and iCracked does not offer a lifetime warranty on battery replacements. I first contacted iCracked to repair my phone on August 26th. It's now Oct 29th and the issues have not been resolved. They do not stand behind their service and put all the blame on their technicians. I had a cracked iPhone screen - what should have been a routine repair. After showing up late, the technician took apart my whole phone wihtout realizing they didn't have the proper replacement parts with them. The store was closed that day, so I had to wait until the week when they were open. This process took 2 hours. The tech showed up at my office and began work on the phone - it took hours and when they gave me the phone back, the button would no longer press. They fixed this while they were still there. My phone was brand new - in the process of the repair they scratched the extrernal portion of the phone in several areas, left out a screw and there is a bright patch of pixels on the screen. This is not a proper repair. I have called and emailed to get this issue resolved. They now claim they have no techs in the area and would issue a refund. What I want is the phone in perfect condition with the screw. They owe me a phone and are not doing anything to remedy the situation. DO NOT USE iCracked. read more

I scheduled an 11:00 AM appointment on-line and received an email conformation, a while later I receive a text from the tech saying he is already double booked at 11:00 and asked if I can reschedule later in the day. I reschedule for 4:00PM and he responds "Perfect". At 3:30 he sends me a text saying he is running "a LITTLE behind" and I am next" At 5:00 PM I have to leave and send a text saying its too late and I am cancelling. I am a repeat customer, in my opinion, this is not a great way to build customer loyalty, perhaps new customers get better service. read more

With an over heating battery that was losing it's charge rapidly and my iphone out of warranty I was in desperate need of some help. I went to the Apple Store and was basically talked down to by one of the "geniuses" about being out of warranty. They suggested buying a new phone and scrap my old one. They assured me multiple times the battery was not the issue... Frustrated I decided to take my Yelp friend's advice and contact Tyler. I called and left him a message on a Sunday morning, obviously not expecting a call back until Monday. To my surprise Tyler returned by call and agreed to meet me (on a Sunday!). I met up with Tyler and he gave me some helpful insight on what might be the issues with my phone. He was confident it could be fixed and it could be done in a reasonable time and price. In about an hour Tyler determined my battery had gone bad and he replaced it for new battery (life time guarantee) for $39.99. Honestly a bargain compared to spending hundreds on a new phone. Tyler even fixed my speaker/headphone jack free of charge and provided helpful hints on fixing small issues myself. Tyler really saved my bacon because I was not prepared to shell out a bunch of scratch for a new phone. I appreciate his honesty and his quick service. First Tech: I was supposed to have a technician come out at 2 today. When I didn't hear from him I called around 1:52pm to confirm that he was coming. He stated that he would be late because he was just living La Mirada. I asked if he could come to my next location at 4:30. He said yes and text him the address. I just called him to confirm that he'd be here at 4:30. He said no because he was behind schedule. Both times he was going to be a no show and not even call. I was mortified. Shame, shame on this tech. Second Tech: I scheduled him to come at 5:30. He communicated with me the entire time. He even got there early. He came inside the nail spa and sat at the waiting table while I got my pedi and fill. He was very polite, on time, and professional. Martin was his name and I want to say thanks for the great service. Now on the other hand Tadeo the first Tech needs his @$$ beat for wasting my time twice in one day. Would I recommend this company? At 10 am this morning, I scheduled a repair at my work for 5pm for my cracked iphone. I work in a cigar shop where one side of the store is for sales and the other side is for smoking. Your tech William Clayton showed up around 4:50, and immediately had an attitude with me. I showed him my phone and he said 'oh it is a white one, I need to go back to my car' and seemed visibly annoyed. I selected white on the website, I guess he assumed I picked the wrong color? He tells me he needs an outlet to work and I told him theres none outside but he is more than welcome to go inside to work. There is NO SMOKING allowed in the part of the store to which I directed him. Despite this, he very rudely refused. He interrupted me when I tried to tell him theres no smoking inside, and told me he wouldnt do it because hes 'not a smoker'. Again, there is no smoking where I told him he could work. This fact didnt seem to matter to him, he seemed to be refusing more out of discrimination against my line of work than any real reason. He told me we would have to make other arrangements, but I was at work and its not like I could leave, and I was going to be there until after hours. He then told me to meet the tech at a starbucks or at my house. Does that not defeat the purpose of your service entirely?? He continued to insult me and give me attitude through text acter I asked for his supervisors or corporates number, and when he did give me a phone number, it was a fake. I want this resolved ASAP. The initial technician sent to fix my iPhone was great and it was all done super seamlessly, but then a few days later the phone started going crazy. Randomly swiping and clicking when I wasn't even touching it. iCracked sent another technician out to look at it who said the frame was bent (no damage happened between the first time it was fixed and now) and he couldn't fix it without another $300 charge. No thank you. Now iCracked has left me with a phone that no longer works at all (rather than just a phone that has a cracked screen) and refuses to refund my money or fix my phone. The tech picked up the iPad from my office and once repaired dropped it off at my house within 8 hours , same day service. He checked it in front of me, which was a little slow, but makes sure that your device is working and any potential problem spots, just like the dentist. I called the iTech and asked him to come back and take a look, but he refused saying that he had other appointments. Similarly with other experiences posted here, my iTech accused me of breaking the phone and dropping it too much. I offered to go get a hardware diagnostic at Apple, but he refused. I called iCracked and explained the situation, but the rep told me that they can fix the phone after I file a warranty request. I did and as of today they are still trying to arrange for a technician to repair my phone (which they broke) as they are still "trying to expedite" my claim. It's a cool premise for a company and if it was guaranteed to work, I'd be totally on board... unfortunately I didn't have a fantastic experience, and here's why: I shattered my iPhone 5 leaving work on Tuesday night, and along with it I shattered my heart. I was so disappointed. When I got home from work, I did a little research and although I discovered that iCracked is certainly not the cheapest option, since I practically NEVER get out of the office, the fact that they come to you really appealed to me and so it was worth it to me to pay the extra money and I put in a request for dispatch on the website. It was about 8 o'clock, so I figured there was a good chance that I wouldn't hear back that night as it was pretty late, and I was right. No harm, no foul. I waited until their hours of operation the next day and around 10:30 I put in another request. When I still hadn't heard anything back from any of the 7 or 8 iTechs that were supposedly going to respond, I got a little concerned. I put in another request just in case and after another hour or so I called customer service. The guy I spoke to was very friendly and apologetic saying that sometimes the iTechs can accidentally miss a dispatch. I was a little confused as to how they can miss 3 dispatches, but went along with it. He proceeded to give me the numbers for 3 of their top iTechs, telling me that one of them was one of the best in the nation. I was still frustrated, but excited to finally have a little progress. He told me to give them a call and that I could just schedule with them directly with that number. I called iTech #1: Skylar and he called back about an hour later with a price of $150 plus Tax... okay, I can do that... Buuuuuut he doesn't have the parts in stock so I'll have to wait until probably Friday or Saturday.... NOT okay, especially since I've already wasted an entire day waiting on a response. I called iTech #2: Matt, who called me back pretty quickly as well and, but I was on the other line leaving a message for iTech #3: Drew, so Matt left a message. He said that based on my area code, it looks like I'm from Long Beach and he doesn't service that area, but I should put out another dispatch and someone in Long Beach can help me out.... Hello? We're in Los Angeles... just because my area code says I live in Long Beach doesn't mean I live in Long Beach... I live in Sherman Oaks and work in Hollywood.... If you got a call from someone with a Florida area code, you would probably not just assume that the person is from Florida and ended up with your number by mistake. Side note from Matt: He will not do iPhone 5s and most iTechs will not either because the Apple Store will do it for roughly the same price that they would charge me--$150. After hearing that I did a little more research, not too willing to call anymore iTechs. I finally found a guy who had a shop in Glendale and said that he could do it in 20 minutes for $95. Yes, it's a little further than I'd like. Yes, I'd have to leave work for about an hour, but at least the man gave me a straight answer and it was WAY cheaper. Actually ended up costing me only $80 because I got a Yelp Deal and then the guy gave me $5 off because he was just a nice person. THAT'S customer service. I honestly believe that my situation was rare and most people probably have great experiences, but I'm just saying, it can happen. Once I finally did get to talk to people, they were very friendly and I certainly don't have anything against Skylar, Matt or Drew. They were all as helpful as can be expected. But it took close to 24 hours before I finally spoke to anyone, and that's only because I went out of my way to get in touch with them, which is not what iCracked boasts. Give it a shot if you'd like, but I wouldn't waste too much time on it if you're in a hurry. I could have had my phone an entire day sooner if I'd just gone to the other place first. P.S. If you have an iPhone 5, it's going to cost you an arm and a leg no matter where you go. Probably twice what you would pay for an iPhone 4 cracked screen. The Apple Store will fix it for $150 and other places I found in LA were between $95 and $180 (which, let's be honest, really sucks). read more

There was a slight defect in the new screen, which is covered under the warranty, and he made an immediate appointment for the next day. First, I want to say that I'm a regular user of Yelp, but have never -not once- written a review about anything. This time, I have to input my two cents for everyone to know about this wonderful service. To make a long story short, I broke my iPhone screen this morning and Paul had met up with me at a local Starbucks. Super responsive through calls and text. I was hesitant about using this service but after doing some research, it turns out that you won't be finding a better deal anywhere else in Ventura County. Paul did a phenomenal job on my iPhone 5 and was able to do it quickly, efficiently, and with ease. He was also kind enough to provide a screen protector- an anti-glare which was exactly what I was dreading on buying as it is difficult to find a good one. All in all, I think iCracked is a great service. Apple store will charge you $150.00 + tax to fix your broken iPhone screen. It turns out to be, more-or-less, $160.00 You might as well save yourself the trouble, the trip to the Genius Bar, and meet up with Paul to fix your phone. He provides the same high quality replacement piece, a legit contract that talks about warranty, and the opportunity to watch him disassemble your device. It's actually quite entertaining to watch. My friend needed his iphone fixed ASAP. Considering we were out in Phelan, the local repair tech Tim was extremely helpful in saving the day...or shall I say night considering it was super dark and we were meandering the desert roads with the coyotes. The iPhone had a had a pose of Adele's frozen album cover with colorful waterfalls that changed colors when you pressed them but were non-responsive to tasks. Clearly, this was beyond an Adele problem, rather an LED screen replacement issue. Actually, it may have been Adele's fault in the first place but that's just my conspiracy theory.... Tim met with us and within an hour or so my friend had his screen replaced. No more Adele. No more iphone screen saver; just a fully functional phone that worked as well as it did out of the box. I have an iPhone 5S that had a screen protector on it when it dropped on the ground and completely shattered my screen. I was devastated because I love taking selfies with dear family and friends and the screen cracked right where my front facing camera is located. I contacted Levi on Wednesday, he ordered my part immediately, it arrived on Friday, and he fixed my phone on Sunday within a few hours! After fixing my phone he thoroughly walked me through the phone's functions such as both cameras, the microphone, all of the buttons, touch screen capability, etc to ensure that they all were working properly. 4.5 stars Mitch was the iCracked technician who took on my case of a broken iPad 3 screen. He was very helpful for my specific situation and went above and beyond to get my stuff fixed. I talked to Mitch on Tuesday and told him I needed the iPad for a wedding on Friday. He got a screen shipped overnight and got working on it right away so I could have it in time. He kept me updated on the status of the repair, which was greatly appreciated especially since they take your electronics away overnight. We all know traffic in/around LA is a nightmare, but I feel like I have to comment on that aspect because Mitch was late to pick up my iPad, and also could not drop it off to me at the scheduled time. That's why I had to take off 0.5 stars. When you are planning a wedding and coordinating all the last minute details, having things happen when they're stated to happen is very important. To replace the screen he had to disassemble the entire phone. Enrico has a sheet to place every part so as not to leave anything out. The phone works great.
