If you're into instagram, snap chat and TikTok this location is for you. The waterfall in this place is out of world. It is one of the most beautiful waterfalls I have ever seen. Also, this location has the most gorgeous views of Nice. I highly recommend adding this chateau to your itinerary. It is a spot that you don't want to miss.

We learned the hard…read moreway that there was an elevator we can take (we had an umbrella stroller with a baby in it) so we climbed the stairs and held onto her stroller at the same time, going up and down the stairs. Then we learned once we got to the bottom, that there's an elevator!!! Oh well, next time. I'll be back here next month so if we have a chance to stop in again, we'll remember to use the elevator this time around. Come here when the sun is setting, we went earlier in the day and it was pretty hot, even though it was foggy. Just be careful not to stay too late, they close the gates on you without checking.

When you walk in, there is a beautiful fountain and several trails to explore. Off many of these trails are different animal exhibits (monkeys, birds, goats, turtles, otters, a porcupine, and others). Coming around toward the back, you reach the greenhouse, which is rife with tons of different types of flora. There are also several other wildlife exhibits inside such as a gator (or croc?), monkeys, flamingos, and iguanas. Altogether, I probably spent three hours here, and I definitely could have spent more if I had not been on a schedule. Even tonight when we were leaving and pretty much everything in the area was closed, people were still hanging out here. Wonder what's going on, but who cares! It's a cool location to hang out and that's what matters in the end. Nice, is a great city and this place simply adds to the flavor.

Tours of the 16th century military fort are available, and hiking trails to and from the fort trickle down throughout the Parc Municipal du Mt. Boron & are totally worth the trek.

A nice park off to one side of Place Massena. It's not huge but a nice park and some greenery in…read morethe centre of town. There are some nice mists there that come on and off every so often and quite refreshing on a hot day (see pictures). There are a couple of nice fountains and part of the park is shut at the moment for some reason.
