Bedford, Halifax, canada we called them after a fire mishap and they said they will charge us $500 for entire apartment (1.5 bedroom apartment) we agreed as my 5 month old baby has eczema and husband has asthma.. they ensured us that when they leave house will be baby safe and i wont have to do a single thing which was the deal and said they will move furniture and do a thorough job and deep clean.. when they were done i thanked them and they left i immediately called them that they forgot to clean kitchen cabinets that had fire extinguisher residue. they apologised and said they will come clean next morning. i noticed that the the room they charged us for was only superficially done and it had dust particles (the things that i had left werent moved as i found baby diaper where i left and rattle too which i dropped by mistake).. i left them a few voicemail messages when they didnt pick call up.. when they finally did pick up i started explaining all the things that they hadnt done and how i have been cleaning since 3 hours , making sure my daughter doesnt have another cough attack ,he said it will be airborne particles i said but when we made a deal you did say it will be completely clean and so many cabinets were left and room was dusty and it didnt seem they did a thorough job and they need to fix it he hung up on me and hasnt been picking up my call ever since..even though last night they did say they will come today to do what they forgot in kitchwn. attaching pictures and videos. read more

Quoted $225 for 2 cleaners/ 2hr. I have 5 bedroom, 2 full baths, kitchen, living room, sitting room and stairs. Only the owner showed up. He only cleaned 2hrs. I asked him what he cleaned and took him at his word. I have not been able to clean my home in that little of a time but he stated many times that he is the best in the business for 10yrs and everyone wants him. Later I saw that he did not clean areas that he quoted to clean. 1 bedroom was not touched. One bathroom was only half cleaned. There were areas in the kitchen that were not wiped down. This guy scammed us and now refuses to answer phone calls or emails. DO NOT waste your money. Situation: My mother paid for a full house clean for myself (with two cleaners) before the Christmas holiday. She went over details and even paid extra for him to 'do a good job.' I was told to simply call to book an appointment in early January. (And this was my Christmas present, being nine months pregnant and very much looking forward to bringing baby home to a clean house.) I called to set up an appointment and confirmed address, length of time for the clean, etc. and made arrangements for my dogs to be out of the way of the cleaners. He responded early in the day, then close to the appointment time (3:30 on a Saturday), I was suddenly unable to reach him via phone call or text. My husband and I waited for two hours without a returned phone call or text until one woman showed up at 5:30pm. This was a. a riduculous time of day for someone to be cleaning your house, b. not what we had paid for, and c. completely unacceptable to show up that late with no notice. We told the woman we would rebook. The 'owner' of the company finally answered my call the next day and said he was overseas (what?!) and that it was a 'miscommunication with staff issue.' He said he would etransfer the money back as we were no longer comfortable with him entering our home...but couldn't do it fo a week because he doesn't deal with etransfers. (Note: He was certainly able to accept my mom's money via etransfer in the first place.) Now he is dodging all calls and emails. I have accepted that we are out a clean and my well-meaning mother is out financially, but I want people to know this guy is a SCAMMER. DO NOT CALL THIS COMPANY. Please spread the word. Worst business I have ever dealt with. Called me to ask for more money after cleaning for an hour or two, and after I came home (after agreeing to pay them) they hadn't actually cleaned the whole place and a ton of my apartment was filthy. This was after they called me an hour after scheduled, asking if they could come two hours late. I had no choice to agree since I didn't want to find a cleaner last minute. After I emailed them saying I would not be paying, they repeatedly threatened me over the phone, insulting me because of some personal items they found and the messy state of my apartment (it was very messy, which is why I agreed to pay more). It was a while ago, but it was something like "disgusting pig" and some homophobic insults. You can see a similar level of unprofessionalism in their review responses. I'm sure the response to this one will be delightful! My laptop was broken when I arrived. Maybe that was a coincidence and it was just fried, but my guess is they busted it. I'll edit this interview once I know if it was water/drop damage or not. They demanded that I pay half of the cleaning fee (which they had already doubled) since they had "cleaned half". But when it comes to move-out cleaning, cleaning half is basically the same as cleaning nothing. This was a moveout cleaning so I ended up not being able to clean it all in time and just paid $100 out of my damage deposit. At least one of these reviews (by Roy Donovan) is fake, since I was receiving emails from a "Roy Donovan" (a ficticious name). I'm guessing most of these 5-star reviews are fake. Do not hire these "cleaners" under any circumstance. They have a good average but please pay attention to all the 1-stars. Not many businesses only have 5 and 1-stars. Very suspicious. read more

We are looking for a new cleaner because ours is moving to Ontario. I ran across SQ's reviews. The first time they came, the woman sat on the floor talking to me. She didn't do any cleaning.Corey did everything. He should look for a new career as being in the cleaning industry isn't for him. We booked to give them another chance. They didn't show up at all. They are very friendly and bring all their own cleaning supplies which is nice. I would not hire them again as each time they have cleaned my house they are always a few hours or more late and do not call to notify you. So, these nice individuals booked an appointment at 0230 and I get a call at 0210 saying they cannot come and they will come at 4. Comes 4 oclock and I have been completely ghosted. So my spouse leaves them a review and he calls me screaming on the phone and screaming at me that my spouse should not be reviewing them! I swear I wish I was joking. This happened 10 minutes ago. Took payment in advance, turned up 2 hours late to a scheduled appointment on a Saturday evening and was turned away. Promised a refund but now refuses to talk to me or my wife. Pathetic behavior for $150. Makes me wonder what state the business must be in financially. read more

I will try to be as professional as possible in writing this review about the most unprofessional company I have ever dealt with! So if emotion shows through because I was ripped off, I apologize. After being over a half-hour late, we called and the owner arrived with no cleaning supplies but showed me some pictures of what he said they were dealing with so I felt a little bad for him ( Them ) and I had been cleaning for hours around the baseboards making sure I vacuumed well as you never get behind furniture and I had a cat. I ended up cleaning alongside them for 8 hours all toll that day. Anyway, after 15 minutes he left to pull his crew off the other job and they returned. They had very few supplies and said they specialized in apartment move cleanouts! Well, they used my supplies, the same dirty mop for all the floors and leaving footprints everywhere as well as droppings of dirt from their filthy mop, using the same disposable mop for the whole apartment, complaining that they had to wipe down the baseboards! I had to call them back as soon as they left because one bathroom was still dirty and dirt spots on the floors as well and they didn't clean the windows, window sills heat baseboards and I could go on. The next day at inspection I found out they had not pulled out the fridge or even cleaned the outside door, however they did do the fridge inside. We failed our inspection and my daughter and I spent another 4 hours cleaning what they should have done. After several phone calls being forwarded, we used another phone and got through to the owner telling him what else had not been done and that we wanted a refund. He lied and complained about there being furniture still in the apartment ( we sold to the coming tenant ) being in the way and it was in the middle of the floor because painters were coming. The furniture had nothing to do with the areas that were left unclean. Needless to say, the conversation was a total waste of time and we will be reporting them to the BBB and our superintendent will be writing a letter as she was in the apartment when I called them back the day of cleaning and saw the way they left the bath and dirt in different areas of the apartment. When my daughter told me the cost I said that sounds too good to be true and as the saying goes it was. They did a total 2 bedroom & 2 bath apartment cleanout in 3 hours, so if you want an honest opinion! BEWARE OF WHAT SOUNDS TO BE A GOOD DEAL, AS IT IS A RIP-OFF!!! ( I realize this is lengthy but it's difficult to give you a full description/picture any other way ) If you hire these guys after what I have told you then be prepared to be disappointed and forwarned!! read more

WORST SERVICE EVER!!! Last week I called SQ Cleaners to request a move out cleaning and was quoted $120 for 2 cleaners for 2 hours. One person (the owner apparently?) showed up 20 minutes late and cleaned for only 1 hour and 40 minutes. Now I'm not a Mathematics Professor at University but I do realize that 2 people working for 2 hours equals a total of 4 hours of cleaning. This guy give us less than half the service promised (and btw did a poor job) and still asks for $120! I argue with him about the price based on the fact it we only got one cleaner for less than 2 hours and he says it's a flat rate charge. LMAO! Sure flat rate of $120 for 2 cleaners for 2 hours ... not for getting half the staff promised and 20 minutes less than the time promised! And he actually wondered why I got mad about him trying to rip us off? I gave him $60 and told him that was all he was going to get. He told me to F@$& Off then got in his car and drove away. Unbelievable. Plenty of reputable cleaners out there ... do yourself a favour and don't waste your money on SQ Cleaners. read more
