Love spy pond. Its a cute little park. You can stroll along the water. There are picnic benches all along the walk. Theres a kids play structure. The bike path runs right behind the park. People also go kayak in the pond. read more

Nice spot for some chillaxing. Recently redone/expanded maybe 2-3 years ago if memory serves. Now has a Blue Bikes dock right out front, which is nice. And some parking is available at one end. Spy Pond is an obligatory stop, at least once, along the Minuteman Bikeway. Sometimes peaceful and sometimes bustling with activity, it's well-worth the charming New England waterfront view. There are benches, a water fountain, a port-a-potty, and some other small recreational areas where you can hang out. Bugs: Best of all, it wasn't buggy (at least when I was there)! Parking: There should be 2 hour street parking on adjacent neighborhood roads. Swimming: I don't think you can swim here. read more

What a pretty spot! I stopped by Spy Pond while on a bike ride on the Minuteman Trail and I was not disappointed. It's a really nice place to rest and there are some areas in the shade. After all that biking, I really wanted to jump in and cool off. Unfortunately, you're not actually allowed to swim in the water, but I do believe you're allowed to kayak and canoe there. If you're coming here by car, you'd probably want to park on a side street in Arlington. The views here are amazing! The water is really clear and there is a lot of greenery in the distance. It's fun to watch people hanging out and fishing. It looked like the water went pretty far out in the distance, so it's more than just a small pond. Next time I go for a bike ride, I'll spend some more time relaxing by the pond! read more

Cute little park, especially for families and little kids. I like to jog so I was kind of crestfallen to arrive and see there wasn't much of a running path (except for one tiny part right by the parking lot); much of the shoreline is private. A calm, peaceful spot to stop and look out at the water and get some work done/read/have a picnic. Saw some kayaking and paddle boarding, looked great. There's a sizable parking lot with a giant sign about Permit Parking 1AM-7AM (which seems ... okay if you come during the daytime after 7??). I've had enough run-ins with permit only parking around the area that I was still wary about leaving my car unattended for long. Maybe next time I'll add this spot to my walk instead. read more

I went to Spot Pond to catch a sunset in June. An unpleasant smell emanated from the pond, oil-like residue coated parts of the banks, debris was scattered along the pond, and walkways were infested by swarms of mosquitoes hovering above the concrete. It was underwhelming, appeared neglected, and I was surprised since I've heard good things about this location; perhaps I caught it at a rough time. read more

I approached Spy Pond via Linwood Street. There at the roundabout, I spotted a car that had a pair of canoes up on the roof. A nearby gentle slope into the water was perfect for slipping those canoes into the water. A baseball field was to the left. I headed to the right and spotted sitting areas scattered here and there along the way and then a pretty nice playground with swings for both kids large and small. There seemed to be some parking at the far end past the playground. Nice spot with pretty views of the water. read more

Spy Pond is amazing. It is exactly what you would imagine for a Hollywood movie scene with "After work family picnic, walk, & tricycle practice." It looks so ideallic that you'd think it were some sort of stock video footage for a pharmaceutical medication. But it is truly beautiful. Whenever I see families enjoying their time outside here, it makes me wish that my family had done something like that when I was young. Cheers to the parents who bring their kiddos here!! read more

Such a gorgeous park, it has a clean playground, the trails are extremely well kept and beautiful, and the views cannot be beat! Great spot to take the family for a picnic and play on the playground. I really wish I lived on this little pond/lake! So quaint I feel like it's a scene out of the Notebook with all the canoe-ers out on the water They have canoe and kayak rentals too, lots of tables and benches and plenty of trash cans to keep this place clean. I wanted to write a nicer review, because the park itself is lovely albeit small. The issue is that there is no supervision. There are signs that say no swimming but certain demographics of people clearly do it anyways. The kids are un-supervised and screaming. I went few weekends ago and while most of the regular demographic was well behaved, I was disheartened that certain populations weren't and didn't have to respect the rules of the park. I felt a little unsafe and ended up leaving because you can't enjoy the serenity of the pond. It seems it used to be a nice area for those to visit and enjoy but you can't fish for fear of casting a line onto some child swimming in the lake. The parents don't do anything to reprimand their kids and if you nicely ask the parents will become aggressive. Otherwise it's a lovely little spot. read more

I always enjoy coming here. It's always so peaceful and serene. I stopped by this weekend and saw a Bride and groom with their bridal party taking pictures. I walked around the lake to the field and up to the minute man trail and just enjoyed natures beauty. Although I've never rented their canoes or paddle boats I have seen signs that this can be done here. Great quiet place just to take a break and relax for a moment. read more

This park is tiny. But so pretty and in my "backyard". So I love love love spending time here. There is a playground for the kids and several little step areas leading down to the water where you can set up a little picnic or sit and read a book. There is a boat ramp at one end and a baseball field at the other end. It backs right up against the bike trail for easy access. Two drawbacks: Goose poop and No Swimming due to toxic algae. read more

Love this place! Quiet in the mornings and great for a walk, taking the kiddos to the playground, or to just roll out a yoga mat on the grass. It does get crowded on the weekends in the summer. But, it is easy to find some place to walk around and enjoy! This is a beautiful park and a treasure of Arlington! It's small, but lots of fun. There is a play area for the kids, all the goose poop you can ever wish for, and in the summer (between memorial and labor day) on Saturdays/Sundays you can rent a kayak or canoe and go out on the water! There seems to be a good number of people fishing on and around the pond, and the ducks and swans seem fairly willing to share the pond with you. read more

Always a nice pond to visit on the weekend. Great location just off the Minuteman bike path. There is a medium-size park with climbing equipment, slides, and a few swings. A perfect spot for toddlers on up to elementary school-age kids. read more
