Anyone who has parented a teen knows how complex, emotional, and sometimes overwhelming those years can be. My teenager was struggling in ways that were beyond what I could manage alone, and we had tried other professionals before without much success. From our very first visit, Dr. Farrah stood out. She has an extraordinary ability to connect with adolescents -- respectful, non-judgmental, and deeply intuitive. My son, who was initially closed off and resistant, actually looked forward to his sessions with her (which shocked me!). Dr. Farrah created a safe space where my child felt genuinely heard, understood, and empowered. What impressed me most was how she balanced empathy with structure -- never sugarcoating, but always meeting us where we were. She took time to explain things to me as a parent, too, which helped me support my child much better at home. Since working with Dr. Farrah, I've seen such positive changes not only in my son's mental health, but in our relationship as well. It's been a transformation I truly didn't think was possible. I cannot recommend Dr. Farrah highly enough. If you're struggling to find someone who gets teenagers and can truly make a difference -- she is that person.

No one or no company is perfect, but how they handle issues speaks volumes and these guys did it right. ------------------ I called for a routine thing - transitioning my ADHD medication from one state to another following a move. I have been taking this medication successfully, at the same dose, for over 20 years. It's no big deal right? Wrong. After a 30 minute conversation they decided I am possibly not ADHD at all(spoiler: I am), think I may have a completely different condition (that my fabulous therapist of 10+ years and previous psychiatrists missed apparently), and declined to transition my medication unless I was treated for said other condition first(not simultaneously). The fact that this medication is basically required for me to do my job is I guess not that important? I am not upset, but the experience was bizarre, and the priorities were way out of order. It is their right to do so, but it's also mine to record my complaints about my experience.

If you need anything else - skip this therapist and find a real doctor. This is NOT a therapist you want to go to for serious issues like being suicidal or having PTSD or any other real medical condition! She knew that not only was I dirt poor and lost my home and two cars due to my mental health issues I needed help with, but I was also finding it hard to find food for myself and my children. She offered to see me even though she didn't take my insurance and I couldn't pay until I got on my feet and was expecting money to come in. To her though, this meant she could charge me THOUSANDS OF DOLLARS to see me for a few twice a week for almost 6 months - the regular rate was $80ish, mine would be $135. This would be almost ok for getting help, but I really didn't get any real therapy. Therapy is coping resources, breathing or stress relief techniques, emergency resources for a crisis, help setting up a support system, information for group therapy... Things like that Carol. Talking to you daily about when I may get money to pay you for an hour twice a week is not therapeutic, it's extremely stressful and is a reminder of how bad my life is. In that time I learned many things; that she wants to stop renting and buy a home but needed down payment money, that my sessions would only be me discussing when I thought I'd be getting my money, and then that I would not get ANY type of guidance or help recovering from the PTSD, agoraphobia, panic disorder and OCD I came to her for! The only thing she ever did for me was filled out a couple of papers to help me get short term disability when she got around to it. I didn't get any real help until I found a different program. The worst was when I went into labor early and was hospitalized, nearly lost my son, and missed an appointment. I bet you can guess what happened next - I got an email demanding money! Because when you know you have a patient who is several months pregnant and has health problems, the FIRST thing anyone at all would be thinking about would be rescheduling useless therapy visits, right? So I should have pulled the breathing tube out and pulled out my cell phone out of my a** and rescheduled my appointment to avoid your angry and disappointed emails, phone calls and texts, right?
