My best friend forever has been suffering from Crohn's Disease and recently had an outburst that…read moreput him in the hospital for the eight days. I visited him six of those eight days and spent several hours with him each day. All of the employee's were hit or miss. For example, there was two Gastroenterologists. One of them was very open to listening to the patient. If my friend thought he needed a certain medication, that's what they would go with. While the other was only going by what was in the book. He wanted to have a colonoscopy done even though my friend had it done not too long ago and nothing was found. He told him this and the doctor had absolutely no interest in his opinion. Most of nurses were extremely friendly. One that was quite enthralled with my friend would come and sit with him every couple hours just to comfort him. At one point there was two other visitors plus me and she brought all four of us sodas and popsicles! Another nurse, whom was Russian and sounded exactly like Natasha Fatale, was very upset with my wife and I for staying passed visiting hours. She came in the room saying "You're still here?!" and joking around I replied with "Oh, he's not going anywhere" as I put my hand on his bed. She didn't find it nearly as funny and had us leave. A different nurse was strictly business. She'd come in with a for serious look on her face and would frankly terrify us. She let him know that he was allowed to eat ice cream now. When a smile appeared on his face she included "...if we have any." His dreams were pretty shattered at that point. She also made sure he would tell her if he needed anything. She was very pushy about it. Before her shift was over, she actually made my buddy afraid to say no to her. What made it even more scary was that she was younger than us and sort of attractive. I feel bad for her boyfriend. Only a couple times was there anyone at the front desk when I walked in the main door. She never asked me any questions either. I could have been getting on that elevator with ill intentions and no one would have been the wiser. I guess since it's such a small hospital that no insane person would ever bother going there. Well, other than to spend six days with his equally insane friend. There was always a security guard at the front door desk whenever I would leave though. The doors were also locked. The sliding doors would open when I left but not if I tried to come back in. I guess the crazies only come after eight. One time in 2009 I crawled into an emergency room here due to stomach problems (go figure). I wasn't able to keep down food or liquids for three days and on the forth I started vomiting blood. It was pretty scary. One of the questions I had to answer was "Do you think anyone at home would try to poison you?" My mom's cooking was pretty disgusting, but that's not what they meant. The wait was ridiculously short and I only stayed for about three hours. I started having an anxiety attack which was my first and last. It was just being stuck in a room with all of these tubes bursting out of me. All the nurses were very attentive, but I just felt very trapped. I told them what they wanted to hear and they let me out with a prescription to some drug that helped me keep down food. I went home and ate some soup with no problem. I actually caught this a couple more times in the next year and decided to change my diet. I've been on a very strict vegetarian diet since 2011 and have never experienced that stomach problem again. I also eat a lot of vegan meals, fresh vegetables and fruits, stopped drinking milk and try to stay away from cheese as much as possible. As long as it's not me going to the hospital for pains, I'll be more than happy to visit here.

My experience is with the 4th floor out patients surgery. My wife needed cataract surgery and this…read moreis the location our insurance uses. Entrance was easy with security scans like you are boarding a plane. Then registration with a very pleasant lady. Up to the 4th floor waiting area where Tatiana greeted us and got my wife set. Very shortly my wife was taken in and I had 3hrs to kill. Unfortunately the cafeteria was closed due to construction so I walked to a place to get some food and bring it back. My wife said her experience was great and the nurses were so nice and made her feel like a princess . When her surgery was done they called me, even though I was in the waiting room, and said to bring the car around they would wheel her out. A very nice volunteer wheeled my wife out and I to the car we went. When she is ready for her other eye I hope they are still using this location.

I had a new PCP visit with Dr.JOSE GIERBOLINI and it was the best doctors visit I have ever had! He…read moretook the time to listen to me and get to know me and my medical history. I don't think I have ever had a doctor take that long to speak with me. I highly recommend!

My girlfriend went to this office, and they did several things to help her - I don't think anything…read moreshe went for was extreme, but they prescribed a few medications that included one I used to take - xanax. She recommended, even pushed that I went even though I don't have insurance, and because of her experience I gave it a try. I saw the same nurse practitioner she did, apparently she got to see the doctor too - perhaps that is the difference. I paid in cash, about $120 for initial visit(discounted from $140 for paying cash) - I brought all the pertinent medical records, the drugs and diagnoses I had in the past.. and haven't been able to do anything about for several years while I was in college, without insurance. Now Grace, the nurse practitioner - DID listen. She had read enough of the probably 10-15 pages of records I brought with me that she had a rough idea of what was going on - back pain, because of an ulcer, and because of several diagnosed issues with my spine(I've had several steroid and other shots, etc for this), diagnosed generalized anxiety disorder, which I told my previous psychiatrist that they could share details about(which I told the nurse) and had paperwork to show.. Both of these issues have gotten so bad that I was willing to take time off work, losing pay, and pay a fair amount of cash to see the doctor.. She offered to prescribe the exact same medicine for my ulcer that I buy over the counter - Omeprazole. No different. That was it. She said "you can come back in three months for a follow up, and talk to the doctor, and maybe he will prescribe you something different." So I paid with time and money and lost wages, and got exactly nothing except three months more of the same problems I've dealt with for years, that got so bad, that I finally found the time and money to do something about it. I asked to have the doctor or someone other than Grace call me and talk to me about this before I left. I never received any kind of call or contact. I got a reminder email about the appointment yesterday morning, for an appointment for today. I called right away. I explained the problem, and said I want to speak to someone to make sure I'm not just throwing more money away to walk away with the same problems I went in with. At first I was told that some nurse would call, then I was told the Doctor would call - no call. I called early this morning to ask why I didn't get a call and cancel the appointment since multiple attempts at finding out why I got such a different treatment than my girlfriend didn't do anything.. and was told that someone left a note for Grace, the very person that didn't do anything before, who I specifically said I do not want to talk to, was who was supposed to call me. I let them know if there was no one to talk to I would leave reviews, I was told there was no one to talk to. At no point today did I have anyone contact me. Maybe they assumed that I was seeking drugs, or maybe it was because I don't have insurance and I can't be an easy source of money - but my girlfriend who expressed a little concern about anxiety got a small dose of xanax, who had some sort of pain that I don't remember being extreme and was given SOMETHING - neither issue was the reason she went to the doctor.. yet for the last three months it has only gotten worse, and I have NO idea what reason I was treated differently.. But no one has cared enough to even follow up when I ask, to explain.. if you have real issues, make sure you aren't just talking to Grace. If you don't have insurance, go somewhere where they understand if you're willing to pay cash, you must have a real problem.. because if I was going to buy drugs, I'm sure it would be cheaper than the doctors visit that didn't do a damn thing except leave me with less money. Seems pretty obvious to me.
