Our once bare yard is now filing up with new plants from here and I highly recommend their selection of plants and customer service.

He's brought in some newer plants that the old owner didn't carry. He's also growing some of his own in the inside green house. There was a great selection when we went. He is still getting things nailed down, tho the place isn't as clean as it used to be. Also some plants have some compacted soils, I never saw this before. The plants were healthy tho. We still visit every few weeks or so, especially since he's getting some new out of the norm plants. Prices are good, not overpriced, they carry a good balance between cost and demand.

When we entered we were immediately greeted and offered assistance if needed. The shop offered an amazing display and variety of plants, varying in size and price. The plants located on shelves further away from the windows tolerate less light compared to the ones on shelves closer to the light. This made it easy to narrow down choices for me. Nice selection of air plants occupied shelves near the cas register. Some pots are available for purchase. Inside the store is a small greenhouse displaying plants for purchase in the future. Street parking is available and highly recommend checking out Lucille's down the street for a great weekend brunch.

I'm only in town visiting for one more day and can't bring plants in my flight home! Otherwise, I would have bought a dozen and filled my home in Chicago with such beautiful and healthy plants!! These aren't like the plants you see for sale in places like the grocery store, or big box store. These are each uniquely lovely and vibrant. Healthy! They all seemed so much healthier and more vibrant than plants I typically see in shops. I seriously would have bought a dozen of them if I had a way to get them all back to Chicago with me tomorrow. I wish I could take a class here. The owner and the other shop keeper were so sweet and helpful! I love my little plant and I'm sure my colleague will be delighted tomorrow. The owner even put it in a cute candy cane gift bag. Yelp says it closes at 3 pm, but I was there around 6 pm and it was open for business. It's walking distance from Aloft Hotel and also The Worthingon Renaissance Hotel, so if you are staying there give yourself a little adventure time and walk over to this shop, then stop by MELT Ice Cream next door for a treat!

On the phone I was explaining what I knew about the fire pit he built for the previous homeowner which has never worked (he laughed at me in an insulting manner as he interjected that I must have overpaid for the house, so we were already on surprisingly shaky footing). He kept talking over me as I explained the issue and as I mentioned that I was trying to find the right person to help me he hung up. It's unbelievable that a conversation could go so poorly so quickly. There are too many awesome businesses owners out there to bother working with this one.

Really a nice little shop, super clean, well lit and lots of nice product. My wife went there to buy a very specialized fertilizer for her organic growing. While at the shop, I noticed he had not only built the building recently, but also did organic based yard service mowing, aeration, fertilization, compost, compost tea, leveling all sorts of services. I wanted to do aeration for quite some time, but it's just been difficult finding either a location that would rent the equipment or finding someone to do it without charging a small fortune. I'm probably outside of his service area but not terribly far from the shop. Nothing a small modest fuel surcharge wouldn't cover. Still economically viable. While at the shop I let him know I was interested and he suggested that I go on the website and fill out a service request to get a formal quote. I provided aerial photos of the yard, and some quality of the current grass. We determine that a full aeration of my lot, which is roughly an acre, an application of the compost tea, and a full mow edge and weed-eat would be a great start to spring. I got that scheduled and unfortunately that day came and it was raining. It was really convenient to push it off a few days and the weather was beautiful. We got it done in a couple of hours, it was a very painless process. One thing that I noticed is he has all brand new equipment so that means no breakdowns or delays in getting the service completed. He's investing for the future and I really like how he handles and manages his business. Great experience all the way around.
