Nice room, modern design, work desk, 2 queens (or 1 king) and sleeper sofa with full bedsheets Comfortable for family with kids. Complimentary breakfast and WiFi is ok. There are 4 hot options: spinach quiche, pork sausage, scrambled cage free eggs, waffles. Connected room option is nice. $15 / night/car parking is a turnoff. Hence one star subtracted. Price is expensive than most. Front desk is hospitable and efficient checking in and checking out. Lobby has plenty of seats. There's also bar for a quick social moment.

All hotels seem to be pricey in Huntington Beach, but your money goes further at this one. We booked a suite with a king size bed. Our room was spacious, modern, and functional. Amenities included a TV, microwave, fridge, coffee maker, desk, and a sofa with an ottoman. There were lots of power outlets and USB charging ports. The free WiFi was fast enough for streaming. Shower pressure was good. Noise isolation was okay. We were able to hear some muffled conversation from the room next door but it wasn't too bad. No plumbing noise from neighbors. The parking fee is $12 per night, lower than other hotels in the area. We managed to find parking on the street and avoided the fee altogether. There's a small fitness center that has 4 cardio machines, a cable weight machine, a weight bench, and free weights up to 40 pounds. A free continental breakfast is served in the morning. The selection is a bit better than most, and it includes several hot items such as eggs, potatoes, waffles, and oatmeal. Overall, we had a pleasant stay here and enjoyed the useful amenities. Prices are on the lower end for this area, but our stay was actually free thanks to our Marriott card perks. Talk about maximizing savings!

Upon reading the reviews for this hotel, I was nervous about staying at this SpringHill. After staying the night at this hotel, I have learned that guest weee coming to this hotel with the notion that they were staying at the Ritz Carlton not a SpringHill Suites. Once expectations are set, I'm sure you'll find this hotel to meet your needs. The rooms are furnished with west elm furniture. The rooms feature a pull out sofa, fridge, workstation which divides the bedroom. The rooms are not huge but satisfactory. The bathrooms are super modern and clean. The lobby area is very modern too. There is plenty of seating in the lobby/dinning area. There is even a bar. In the morning they offer breakfast. Breakfast is ok, nothing too exciting, but enough to get you going. I think my only disappointment is charging for parking. That was unexpected when checking in.

Fantastic stay for this price point. We stayed 2 nights for a family wedding. The location could not be better. Close to the freeway, next to a bank & credit union, and across from Bella Terra. Many food options, movies theaters, shopping and the beach within a few miles. We stayed in a king room with a sofa/trundle. The king bed was very comfortable, and the air conditioning was perfect. My adult son stayed on the trundle bed, and was really uncomfortable. He his very little sub-q fat, so I think the trundle option (adds room for possibly 3 small kids) would be fine for a family. The decor, linens, small appliances, and bathroom/toiletries, where all well equipped. There was coffee in the room, micro, and a refrigerator. Noise was not an issue. The 2nd floor terrace was really nice, and there was a small lobby bar, where the regular staff can whip you up a decent drink. I can understand the previous reviews that voiced frustration over the parking fee. I get it, but I lived in some apartments near there for a few years. The overflow parking from Bella Terra, and surrounding apartments would be impossible to control without some sort of fee. I liked that there was a security guard right in the front of the building. No worries about theft for me. The hotel & room are spotless, the staff was all very polite, and the breakfast is much more comprehensive than your Best Western or La Quinta INN for sure! This is my favorite HB place to stay, at the current price point.

This was a nice hotel that provided a complimentary continental breakfast. My room was clean and I enjoyed my stay. I found it a bit odd that the room key card had to be inserted in the slot on the wall in order for the electricity to turn on. Without inserting this, you cannot turn on the lights or TV. The continental breakfast had the usual scrambled eggs, bacon, sausage, cereal, yogurt, fruits, etc., but I didn't have time to sit down and enjoy the breakfast. I grabbed a sausage & eggs muffin sandwich, sweet waffle, and a cup of coffee to-go before my morning meeting. Pretty good! The hotel has complimentary charging stations, but they were not Tesla friendly. I didn't have an adapter with me, so I could not take advantage of the free charging stations. Luckily, I had enough juice in my car to head back to San Diego. It would've been nice if the hotel provided adapters for Tesla owners, even if it was for a small rental fee. I also had a hiccup in activating the charging station. I wasted an hour of my time only to realize it was not compatible with Teslas....The male employee & I were in the rain trying to activate the app on my phone, and when it finally worked (we had to call the Helpdesk), we found out the nozzle did not fit my Tesla. It would've been nice if the hotel employee knew upfront that the charging stations were not compatible with Tesla. I had never charged my car in public so I didn't know any better. He was nice to stay with me in the rain. The small female employee was uptight and not the slightest bit friendly. I asked if they had any bottled water. She handed me a bottle, at the same time making a snappy remark that I should bring my own or purchase from their pantry. She was rather rude and the reason why my overall ranking is only 3 stars.

We had a nice stop over at this hotel. Clean, modern, comfortable stay. The complimentary breakfast was substantial. The lobby is nice with plenty of seating and various TV's playing shows for both kids and grownups. Staff was friendly and helpful. Parking was easy and they provide free car charging. Only qualm is the bathroom only is a standing shower. A tub would be nice for the kids.

$12 parking

While the rooms are more spacious than other Marriott properties I have visited and the included breakfast is good, I'm perturbed by the $12/night parking charge, the lack of any hot beverages in the lobby (usually there is coffee, decaf, and hot water for tea) and the lack of tea in my room. In my room, there are bottles for shampoo, conditioner, and body wash, but no body lotion. For my electronic devices, there is only one bedside USB port for our party of 3, but more USB ports on the desk. Although there was an iHome sitting on the bedside, it was completely dead. At least the microwave and refrigerator worked.

Lots of trash up and down the hallways. Monkey see, monkey do

This Springhill is located across the street from Bella Terra in Huntington Beach. It has free electric vehicle charging but you have to get a code from the front desk. The design is really cute and everything was really clean. What I didn't like is that the windows were very thin and even though I was on the highest floor I could hear sirens all night. This is a simple hotel, so there's no coffee shop or bar or restaurant but they do have a full breakfast in the morning and a Marketplace to buy bottles of wine and bottles of beer. There is a gym that's medium sized. There's no coffee service besides the one at breakfast. They seem to be short staffed and their breakfast is pretty late considering all the business travelers they have. The days we were their breakfast started late because they weren't ready and people were really pissed. There was also trash in the hallways for more than once seem like a normal amount of time if any of their team members ever walk down the halls which makes me think they don't have enough of a team. This is about 10 miles past John Wayne airport. I think regular parking was $10. They give you a parking pass. Overall, I would stay here again but only because how convenient the location is.

We were impressed with the quality of the insulation between rooms -- or the thoughtfulness of the other guests. We've stayed at a lot of hotels and by far we got the best night's sleep at this location! Apart from the occasional door shutting in the hallway, we heard very few noises; and when we did, they were muffled, as opposed to being able to hear way too much through the walls as has happened at other Marriotts at which we have stayed. We appreciated that the windows opened for fresh air since there's a nice breeze here which we prefer to the air conditioning. We were delighted with the prospect of playing corn hole on the rooftop patio but were disappointed that the legs on one of the two boards were broken. Thankfully we were able to use a giant Jenga block to prop up the broken corn hole board and we still had fun but it would have been nice had it not been broken. Also, two of the corn hole bags were missing so we had to improvise and alter the point scoring and game play. We loved the customizable Quaker oatmeal offered for breakfast -- the cinnamon, raisins, and bananas were all delicious toppings. Alas we were disappointed that there was no bacon, and we heard this sentiment echoed by other adults as well as a very sad youngster in another party's group. The coffee was sour, however the black tea was a fair start to the morning. The green tea looked good; however the natural flavors contained soy so we skipped this and opted for the plain black tea. In the evening we would have appreciated an herbal non caffeinated tea option. We also would have appreciated the Starbucks coffee pouches offered at other Marriott locations. The bed was comfortable and cozy. The pillows were also comfortable and the sheets were clean. The cleaning staff does excellent work -- this is by far the cleanest Marriott at which we have stayed. Please commend them on their attention to detail. It is truly appreciated staying at a hotel which has been cleaned of dust, the prior guest's hair, etc. This seems so basic, but is oft missed elsewhere, so we wholeheartedly thank you! The furniture is fantastic. We love West Elm, so we felt right at home. The ample reading light for books and crosswords is perfectly situated. The bedside outlets are also conveniently located. The glass shower is fantastic, and the sink has ample counter space. We loved the sliding barn door for privacy in a small space. The door hiding the mini fridge and microwave is a nice touch. The hair dryer actually dried my hair! It's tiny but powerful. Great choice. The staff was friendly and helpful. Despite the minor disappointments, we still give this location 5 stars because of its comfort, quiet, and cleanliness. We would definitely stay again and will recommend to others.

Stayed here for the weekend and we thought it was very nice. It is very modern! Very clean and beautiful. The location is great, not too far from Huntington Beach. Parking is $10 and were told that it gets compensated with complimentary breakfast - so forsure we took advantage of it. The rooms lights and tv is powered by your room key which was pretty cool and different. There is a terrace on the second floor, didn't get to make it out there but it seems really nice. Front gentleman who checked us in was very friendly and nice. Breakfast: it had a nice selection. The eggs were definitely from a box/powdered. They had fruits, hard boiled eggs, spinach, eggs, ham, waffles, pastries, 4 different juice selection, milk, cereal, oatmeal bar, and a coffee bar. We enjoyed it! I believe breakfast goes till 10 am. Communication: We were not told when breakfast started or when it ended. We had to ask our friends who were staying here. I read in the other reviews about communication and yes, they need to get on board with that. I called for a late checkout in the morning and the front desk says okay until 1 pm. Then at 11:45 am, a manager (I think) wearing blue with black hair knocks on our door asking if we had late check out.... I'm sure the front would let the appropriate people know. Before interrupting (significant other was sleeping) they need to communicate better. Which is why I took a star away. Bathroom: gorgeous bathroom!!! The only thing we couldn't figure out was that we couldn't find a vent in the bathroom. Pretty cool hotel overall!

When the sun was setting, it's hard to imagine more beautiful scenery as you stood in the middle of the courtyard, looking out to the ocean. It was the kind of moment where you wish you could freeze time and turn hours into days. 100-stars for that part. There were multiple pools on property and our son really enjoyed the kids pool with the 3 water slides. We would have loved to check out the adult pools too, but we had our 7 year old with us, so that wasn't an option. One bummer on the pools: I got my wife a pina colada and tried a few sips myself: it was great! But I charged it to the room and later found out that my very modestly sized pina colada cost me... $22. Yes, I said $22. A lot of stuff around the property and even within the room was a tad outdated. The bed was easily the least comfortable of the 3 different hotels we stayed at during the week, and I'm never a fan of the small pillows. But overall, I was glad we stayed here just for those views alone.

The market is convenient and had some of the best strawberries I've ever had and wish I got more on the way out. Great location to everything. Ear plugs provided as it can be noisy close to the highway. Not great: we had old French fries on the floor of our room. Gross, but we cleaned it up. We asked for an extra blanket as hubby and I don't share. We were directed to the extra in the closet, but that was for kiddo on the sofa bed. Housekeeping told us they were short blankets... we ended up using the little ones in the s'mores basket. S'mores kits are only provided the first night, not nightly or per person. They are $12 at the market on site. Watertable breakfast was yummy, but severely overpriced.

We all felt like we were in Cabo with beachfront views and cute little balconies where you can just sit and soak up the oceanview and the sun. Rooms are very clean and everyone is very polite. Great blue color tones, and the Rooftop Bar was nice on the top of the second property. We were situated on the 12th floor which is the highest one. The hotel does have a few faults. The parking is $55 which is absurd; I know the location but still cannot forgive any place where you stay that charges their guests for parking whatever the fee is and this was really high. The beds and pillows are terrible pretty much like every single hotel I stay from 50 to $500 a night. The shower pressure is weak. The cabo wabo restaurant inside the hotel which we had a breakfast in the morning was the worst breakfast buffet I've eaten in my life. It was abysmal and makes Best Western's breakfast look like a Ritz-Carlton feast... yes it was that bad. Avoid the buffet portion of the restaurant like the plague trust me on this one. The gorgeous property location balcony pool and overall experience of the hotel kept the rating high as it is truly a magnificent resort feel and you don't feel like you're anywhere near Los Angeles. Walking in the morning beachside and surrounded by lush gardens and beautiful homes. Huntington Pier is about half a mile away with wonderful cafes restaurants and eateries, without the grueling uphill/downhill slope at the main Manhattan Beach pier area. Unfortunately, an additional 35 miles away. Very enjoyable refreshing and surreal experience even with the pesky minor flaws. A total zoo with children everywhere from one month to 10 years and there was a wedding so be prepared. The rooftop lounge was nice and comfy, had a fun night there with mixed food. The beef sliders were beyond awful but the chicken sliders were terrific.... the drinks barely have alcohol in them that's a good thing for a light drinker like me/us. The verdict: a pleasant and enjoyable stay for the fantastic room and resort style view of the beach

We arrived to a room with no shampoo nor shower gel available and we couldn't even take a shower to rest. Customer Satisfaction should be your number one goal which unfortunately, was not this facility's case. The parking supposed to be included when we booked, but again another disappointment and we were charged. Each and every place has a designated area for the smokers. As much as the smokers are respecting non-smokers, we deserve to be respected. We paid the same what others paid for their stay. A facility as big as an entire block had no section for smokers. I had a large double queen with partial views of the ocean. I thought it was cool that they offered a cooler, which would be useful to take out to the beach. The open walk-in shower was made for washing off sand, and I loved that my bathroom also had a tub as well as amenities ready to go for a relaxing salt bath. I used the in-room record player whenever I got the chance. Each room had its own unique record too. My room had Lynard Skynard, but I saw that there was an extensive record library in the lobby for swapping out the music. That said, I opted to use the bluetooth function of the record player to set the mood for my space. As cliche as this sounds, I was in room 311 and played 311 while watching the sunset from my balcony. Lastly, as a yoga instructor I was pleasantly surprised to find a yoga mat in my closet. First of all, the people who work here are so nice! Peter was always smiling and giving the dogs treats (with permission every time). I swear they started looking for him- and they're pretty anxious around people. There are no dogs allowed in the pool area which I get but it makes it a little tough to juggle the kids wanting to swim for hours and not leaving the dogs unattended in the room. The beds were comfy and they have a built in sound machine system and it was the first time I have ever see that! I loved it! I struggle to sleep in hotels but wasn't bothered by any noise. The hotel is right across from the beach and next to an outdoor shopping mall. We walked to and from multiple times on our trip and it was nice to be close by! They also have beach chairs, towels and sand toys to borrow! They have adult bikes but nothing for the kids so we didn't utilize those. The restaurant is good with dog friendly seating and gluten free options. We had dinner there only. CONS the dog park is so cute and convenient but it wasn't sprayed off at all while we were there and since it was plastic grass, there was poo smeared all over the place. It was hard to find a spot to stand and you hope your dog doesn't walk through it. It also smells like warm pee. We were still grateful for it but I think a small patch of real grass would have been less gross! The fee for dogs is $150 a night and that adds up quickly! The bathrooms are not practical for families. They don't lock, the toilet room has fogged clear glass with big gaps so no one could be in the bathroom getting ready or showering if anyone else was in the toilet room. Also, there was a slider on the outside of the shower that allows the entire room to see you in the shower which was odd. I understand the desire for this if it was a couples trip but why not have the sliding door on the inside so the naked person can make the decision rather than anyone on the outside deciding to open it mid-shower? Parking is a whopping $60 a night plus there is only valet which means you either tip every single time you pull your car in or out or you feel like a jerk. The valet guys were great and we wanted to tip everyone but ran out of small cash bills quickly. We stayed two nights and had to pull our car out 4 times which is 8 tips. When you're paying $120 to park that's crazy! The jacuzzi is just warm not hot and the jets when on are cold! That was bummer. (Don't want to add too much detail for sake of greedy people) From the moment we arrived, Leslie went above and beyond in every possible way. Her warmth, attention to detail, and genuine care made us feel not just welcomed, but truly valued. Every interaction with her felt intentional and kind, the kind of service you don't forget. She anticipated needs we didn't even realize we had! She offered some amazing restaurants and knew all the little quirks. Leslie is the kind of person who doesn't just do her job well, she elevates the entire experience. Because of her, this stay will forever stand out as something really special to us. If you're lucky enough to be helped by Leslie, you're in incredible hands. She is an absolute gem and a true reflection of what hospitality should feel like. We love you and we will be back! P.S. Don't skip out on the pancakes

SUNSET BEACH: This 30 room boutique Hotel right off Pacific Coast Highway is a delight. You have…read moreto navigate through some one-way streets, but parking is easy and there's a back door to the hotel right from the parking lot. NO parking fees! I really like the personal service from Sean who was very personable and helpful. I called to see if I could check in early, and he was very accommodating. It is. How do you feel feeling? A little bit, but I did. The room was very clean and the bed was a little too soft for me, but my sister said her's was fine. They had a few items for a continental breakfast, but there are many restaurants within a mile. We got a room on the opposite side of PCH and did not hear any noise from the highway. I would definitely stay there again.

Hotel Huntington Beach - I am skeptical about all negative reviews. But let's see.

Housekeeping staff was very thorough and hardworking; very impressed by each of them I encountered over a 4-night stay. The rooms and common areas are somewhat aged, showing more wear and tear than I cared for. It would be awesome to have plumbing and electrical fixtures modernized. Some carpet and flooring was marred. It is important to note that this place is clean, but some areas unattractive due to aging. The location is excellent. The beach is ~5 miles straight down Beach Blvd. The hotel is just off of the 405 fwy. Bella Terra (outside mall with movie theater, many shops and restaurants) is across the street. Buca de Beppo Italian restaurant is close by, as is Costco. Next door is the Old World Village, great anytime but especially good for Oktoberfest. There is a bar in the lobby and a large restaurant that offers a very reasonably priced breakfast buffet ($14.99). Beds were pretty comfortable. We didn't make it to the indoor swimming pool on the mezzanine level. Best priced room found in Huntington Beach.

The check-in process was very fast, and the parking lot is generously sized, though you do need to display a permit provided by the hotel. The lobby is expansive but strangely silent, giving off a distinct airport terminal vibe. While the room itself was simple and noticeably outdated, the necessities were covered: a 32-inch television and a passable bed. The major drawback was the poor quality of the pillows. If you are truly in a pinch and need a quick, budget-friendly crash pad, this place works. Otherwise, you might be better off sleeping at home.
