The hotel is convenient. Not plush but good for a quick stay. There's an outdoor patio with a bbq grill, a gym and a pool area. The pool was very popular with the families staying there. Breakfast buffet is fine. Wish they had toast though instead of bagels only. That's a lot of carbs. The sausage links were very greasy. You can make your own waffles which was popular. They have bananas, apples and oranges which they also offered at the front desk 24/7. That's nice. And water and coffee and tea too. No tea bags in the room which I wasn't happy about. Had to go down to the lobby to get some. The front desk associate who checked us in and worked the night shift was sweet and polite. She and one older lady who called me 'honey' made the stay four stars. There's little things which, while not big things, keep them not a five star. The tile in the shower stall door is not finished to allow the door to swing open. Water escapes somehow from the shower. Window curtain was torn. Air conditioning unit fan works on its own schedule. Mini fridge store gets stuck on cabinet door hardware. Overhead lights above bed blinding. The shower isn't large which is fine for us but I could see it being an issue for larger people. Hair dryer provided which was nice and it was powerful which was awesome for my long, thick hair. Iron and ironing board available. And I was glad for the note paper and pen as mine ran out of ink and I needed to write a letter. The sofa was a convertible and quite fancy. The hotel partnered with West Elm and the bed could convert into various configurations. It's a basic hotel which is not luxurious but meets your needs of a place to stay which is clean and has enough amenities. There is a laundry area for self service as well. And the hotel is within walking distance of several restaurants which is a perk. Private parking lot. There is a hotel shuttle if you needed one. read more

I never leave negative reviews but I feel compelled to do so with this property. I booked a reservation for the College World Series back in July 2024 (11 months in advance) and got a great rate using my corporate discount. Just three days before I was supposed to leave, the hotel told me they would no longer honor the rate I booked "due to a special event in the area". They bumped me to a new rate based on current demand of over $1,000 more for the 3 night stay. I tried to reach out to the property but they would not talk to me on the phone, and the GM (Shannon) refused to work with me towards a more appropriate solution over email. She even tried to say the corporate rate wasn't valid for personal travel, even though it's clearly permissible in our company policy. If there was a mistake in their system, they had almost year to let me know. At the very least they could have offered me some sort of compromise, since they waited to notify me until there were no longer any reasonable accommodation options available. I have been going with my dad to the College World Series since 1997 and in nearly 30 years of our Father / Son tradition in Omaha have only encountered the nicest people who are salt of the earth. There are plenty of places we've stayed run by people who are honest and helpful, but unfortunately that is not the case here. Be forewarned who you are dealing with and if you score a deal that seems to be good to be true it likely is. read more

We booked specifically for the perk of an airport shuttle and were pleasantly surprised to find out the shuttle not only goes to the airport, but also anywhere within 5 miles! Drivers Wally and Jack were very friendly, informative, and welcoming on our multiple rides with them. TRIP WAS 9-11-22 TO 9-13-22 - Sorry for the delayed post. Based on other reviews around this time, I'm probably not going to add a lot of stars to this property. Booked a handicap accessible room to visit/stay with a friend dying of bone cancer. Chose it for the bar - we wouldn't have to drive or go anywhere, since her mobility was challenged - and the hot tub, so she could soak her aching body. Guess what wasn't open because someone on Friday night had dropped the bar money into the safe and no one could open it? The bar. And guess what wasn't open Monday even though they had the money, but now they had no staff? The bar. Yet the front desk couldn't even go BEHIND the bar and get us a drink; we could get a beer from the to-go cooler for a not very nice price. Now guess what was under construction while we were there? The hot tub. One desk clerk said, "Maybe tomorrow." The other one just honestly said they didn't know. So why did I give this even 3 stars? 1) Steve, one of the front desk clerks, was very helpful, understanding and accommodating to our "Thelma and Louise" visit and mobility issues. 2) Location. 3) Breakfast staff was very nice, even when I made a mess because I didn't know how to use the waffle maker. 4) Handicap shower has wrap around bar, so friend was able to balance herself and shower by herself for the first time in months. 5) Were able to binge watch "Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives." I don't have any reason to be in the area anymore, but I hope they do pull it together because the location has potential. read more

We were having trouble finding a room since, Everywhere was booked for the World Series. We found a room here! The price was great and the location was as well. Right by Bass Pro and Horseshoe Casino. They even had a military discount! The room was very nice! We had a 2 doubles room and it even had a nice sitting area with sofa bed. It had 2 nice closets, vanity, and a clean bright bath. Staff was fantastic! Super friendly and helpful!! There was a huge breakfast selection! Cereals, pastries, eggs with fixings (cheese, salsa, spinach, hot sauces), strawberry and plain Belgian waffles, fresh fruit, and a nice selection of tea and coffee. We stayed at this hotel last minute as we were on a long drive from Colorado to Minnesota. Every person who worked here was extremely nice and welcoming. It was an easy check-in experience, and they made the best recommendation for dinner. The room was clean and the beds were extremely comfortable. Everyone slept well. If you choose this hotel you must lower your standards on the quality of room, amenities, cleanliness of the facility in general. If you take into account that this is a major hotel chain in a sea of hotels you might want to fish elsewhere. The cleanliness of the room was lacking of care and attention to detail with stains on the carpeting, furniture, bedding , and hallways were dirty with stains and holes in the walls. Paid Friday night rate for a two star hotel chain quality. When arrived in room, TV would not work and was only given two towels for four people. Front desk staff stated that they "can't fix the TV and towels were being laundered" at 10 o'clock at night. A sad occasion brought us to Council Bluffs for a few days. From the moment we arrived every staff member was extremely friendly, knowledgeable, and professional. We must have had contact with half the staff. The Front Desk staff was great. The Bartender, Barista, and Cooks were wonderful. The Techs that drove the shuttle were the best and the service was greatly appreciated. Our room was beautiful and full of modern amenities. The Common Area Lobby had so many areas to eat, drink and visit. Our favorite were the nooks with private TVs to have an evening cocktail, watch a movie and play cards. read more

I have been coming here for years and I am always so excited to see the staff. Lora and her staff has always reached out and been so nice. They always come over to greet me. I really feel like family at this hotel. The pool and hot tub is great and the area is clean. I used the fitness room and everything was in working order. I love the area since we can walk to dinner options. The shuttle from the airport was a great help for myself. I am so happy that everyone survived the COVID layoffs. My room was nice and clean. Bed is ok. We slept well. People were friendly. There was mold on the shower curtain. Breakfast: We were early to breakfast and expected things to taste decent. Instead we experienced the following: - Flavorless waffle - Watered down orange juice - Tough rubbery eggs - Bananas are very green I removed the picture of mold since they promptly replaced the shower liner. The hotel staff is very sweet and kind. But me and my family got our windshield broken and robbed of almost everything in our car at this location. We were parked very close to the entrance and somehow the cameras did not catch anything. The police said that this wasn't the first time someone was robbed there and the cameras were such low quality that it didn't even matter. Nothing was done besides a police report. read more

This hotel is located fairly close to the Henry Doorly Zoo which is why we chose it. It's also very close to three casinos if you're into that kind of thing. But otherwise, it's really not terribly close to much of interest, however the rooms are nice with comfy beds and the entire hotel was clean and generally well-maintained (whirlpool was not functional). The staff were all very pleasant. They have a $3/drink happy hour in the evenings which is great. On Friday evenings they bring in some sort of food from Famous Daves which is fairly nearby. There is a free breakfast in the mornings with a fair number of hot items. If I had one complaint, it was that while there are small refrigerators in the room, the refrigerators have no freezer, so we were unable to refreeze ice packs. Not the end of the world as we can improvise, but if you're going to put in a tiny fridge, why not choose one with a freezer? Check-in and check-out was fast and friendly. If visiting Omaha again, I wouldn't hesitate to stay here. read more

i thought this place was kind of pricey but dang, it was more than worth it! I wasn't expecting anything special, so it was a pleasant shock to walk into a large suite with high ceilings! My king bed room was very spacious and well-decorated. Though the kids in the next room were loud i could not hear them through the walls. Quiet place!! The hotel provided all the major daily papers for free, something i always love. the pool area was terrific [pool over 5.5' deep] and the exercise room was very well equipped. the pool area even had special chairs for the disabled!! i liked the room's snowy white bed cover -- it guaranteed that you were getting a very clean bed. the in-room coffee was delish. Then the breakfast was huge and the offerings were fresh and tasty. I was here one night for work, it was a decent hotel because it was by bass pro. Other than that though I am not sure I would stay here long term for a vacation or anything. We were here for Olympic Swim Trails and were deeply disappointed. It seems management is the main issue to blame, but for more depth: The keys didn't work. Literally every time we tried to entire our room we were locked out. The front desk person was laughing saying "oh you're just unlucky" but with a line of 4 rooms waiting for new cards, it's clearly not "luck". It's bad infrastructure. It really could be considered funny, but when you step outside and need to run in to grab something you forgot, going to the lobby for a new key gets to be a nuisance. Housekeeping: the hotel was clearly understaffed. We called to get housekeeping early in the day because we needed to rest between prelims and finals. Of course, we'd get back with no housekeeping and when they did come ~5 there were no clean towels left. They were clearly rushing because the cleaning the did do consisted of throwing the blanket over the bed (with the sheets messed up below) and taking out the trash. Breakfast: free breakfasts are not a money maker, so I understand not prioritizing it. I don't understand saying you offer a free breakfast and then setting out stale muffins and cereal bins that are basically empty. If you offer something, please at least make sure you're meeting the standard level of service. We actually started looking for a new hotel but with the Trials they were all sold out. Advice: if you want to have a full hotel, staff it properly and make sure the basic features are working (key cards). I understand skimping on some things, but if you offer breakfast at least make sure there is stocked food out. Disappointing stay. Do not stay here if it's going to be a busy time for the city- this hotel is clearly more comfortable handling small/nonexistent crowds. read more

This is much better than the Fairfield in Omaha and if you want a free breakfast it is better than the Courtyard as well (lacking the closeness to downtown that the Courtyard has). The rooms are decent with microwave, fridge, swivel TV, sink, and decent sitting working area. Bathroom is nice, but the hot water was almost a all or nothing thing. Breakfast in the morning had decent variety and was nice. The exercise room and pool are great and had a recumbent bike which I was happy to see. Location is also not bad as some decent eating establishments are near by. Staff is also friendly even if they mess up entering information on check up sometimes. I do like the Courtyard a little better with location as parking in downtown Omaha is difficult, but do not like how you do not get a free breakfast even with elite status. Depending on what you want Springhill Suites is a great choice and worth staying at again. read more

I booked this room for the zoo package. This is a family trip with 3 kids. I assumed if they offered a zoo package then this will be more of a kid friendly hotel. Well i thought wrong. I guess in a way it was because there were about 10 kids running the floor at 11pm, the oldest of them had to be no more than 10. I can say once in my room i could barely hear them. I assumed their parents were the ones getting sloshed in the bar downstairs. I walked down the hall at one point and i swear i smelled marijuana and hear a guy cursing someone out that he was on the phone with. I still give 2 stars because the rooms are very spacious and the ladies at the front desk seem nice. They greeted me with smiles. When i check out tomorrow we will see if they still have the same smiles. Had to update. I found out that there was a big pool tournament that night so that was the cause for the rowdiness. Very disappointing. I wish we would have kept driving and stopped instead in Des Moines. We selected this hotel late on the road. Needed a place to rest and picked this hotel because it had a hot tub. We checked in late and there was a construction crew outside painting the car port. So then why would they assign us a room on the second level right outside the front door with the lift outside they were using, beeping while going up and down. It was after midnight, we were in bed, too tired and did not want to complain to the very nice evening front desk clerk. Our room also smelled of smoke. The only plus to this hotel was the breakfast and nice wait staff. It was now 7 am and time for a relaxing hot tub soak before hitting the road again. However, the hot tub was freezing, not just cold. Not posted or listed as a broken hot tub. I know they test the chlorine and temperature of the hot tub on a regular schedule. This was not a new problem. Of course, the front desk person said he would call the service person, but that does not help me. I will never stay at another Marriot hotel. read more

My wife and I stayed here for two days and found the room to be excellent. It had two rooms with a microwave, refrigerator and all the other amenities. The room was clean and the beds comfortable.
