Embassy Suites by Hilton Bowling Green - Guest room

Embassy Suites by Hilton Bowling Green

I've stayed at the Embassy Suites twice for business purposes. I'm not sure if the entire hotel is…read moresuite-style, but both of the rooms I stayed in were. I loved having extra space to set up my laptop and work area without having to do that in the same room as my bed. Plus, both the living room area and the bedroom have TVs. Both stays, my room was extra quiet and I never experienced any noise or issues. The hotel's neighborhood feels new. A few restaurants and a coffee shop are within walking distance, and the soccer field/recreational complex is right there. Ironically, I could see two free-standing ERs from the hotel; thankfully I didn't have any emergencies and need them. The hotel sells some snack food items, but if you need gas or want fast food, you will have to drive for that. The free included breakfast is highly worth waking up early for and delicious. I recommend the made-to-order omelets. I filled out my omelet form first, then got coffee and fruit and found a seat. By then, my omelet was done. I loved that the breakfast buffet has fountain soda Coke products. The bar area had a fun happy hour with some free snacks, and I got a card for two free drinks each day, likely because my reservation was booked through a loyalty program. I'm not sure if everyone gets this, but if you do, take advantage of it. The hotel bar downstairs also plays whatever sport is in season on TV. If you're here for a conference or meeting (I was), the conference rooms are large and spacious. If you're hosting a conference, several rooms are available and this is probably the best option in town for that. Parking is free and chargers for electric cars are in the lot. I didn't use the fitness room or pool, but they looked nice. The gym has a Peleton bike. If you want to run or walk, I recommend outside because the area is fairly calm, and the park is close by. The only negative I've experienced here is that one of my in-room hair dryers was terrible and barely worked at all. If you're picky about your hair dryer or any sort of shower/bath products, I encourage you to bring your own. So far this is the only Embassy Suites hotel I've stayed in, but I have a great impression of the brand now. I'd stay here again and also seek out Embassy Suites on a personal or business trip.

If I were going to give a down check, it would be the very pricey restaurant that is on the property. Very good, but very pricey. We usually opt to get a delivered pizza! Mary, the bartender for the managers reception and Damian, treat us very personably almost like family. We don't mind spending a couple extra dollars there due to that. And another thing, they have an automatic toaster at the breakfast area that toasts perfectly the first time and every time! I wish all the Embassy Suites would buy that particular electronic toaster! Keep up the great work!

I stayed at this hotel for my mom's wedding, and it was honestly one of the worst experiences I've…read moreever had. We drove 8 hours to get there, only to walk into a room in terrible condition. There were ants everywhere, including on the bed, which is completely unacceptable. The door had holes in it and didn't seal properly, so there was constant air coming through, making it nearly impossible to keep the room cool. The fridge didn't work at all, which was a serious issue because I had insulin that needed to stay cold. That alone could have created a dangerous situation. On top of that, the beds were extremely uncomfortable--you could feel the springs through the mattress. To make matters worse, I was charged $170 for one night, even though my room was reserved for two nights, so I assumed that was the total. The next morning, I was called and asked if I was checking out, then told I needed to come pay again. When I went to the front desk and explained not only the confusion with the charges but also how unacceptable the room conditions were, the best they offered was charging me $140 more and claiming they "took off" $65. I ended up almost being late to my own mother's wedding trying to sort this out. I even explained that I would not be staying the second night due to the conditions, but needed the room temporarily for my service dog and cat during the wedding. Despite not staying, they still charged me another $140. We ended up leaving the wedding early and driving the 8 hours back home that night rather than stay in that room again. Between the unsafe room conditions, lack of basic cleanliness, broken amenities, and poor customer service, this experience was beyond frustrating. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone.

There was a Reese's cup wrapper near the bed on the floor. We hadn't eaten any Reese's. The breakfast buffet was good for a free breakfast. It was hot and the counters were clean. The coffee was good! We would stay here again.

Good Hotel for a Short Stay…read more I was in the Bowling Green Area for business and found this Fairfield Inn at a very reasonable price and decided to Book it. This is an older Fairfield Inn that has many amenities you will need for a one or multiple-night stay. The Hotel is close to restaurants, shopping and highways. The hotel does use a digital key so I was able to go straight to my room. The rooms are well laid out and have the older Fairfield style to them. If you are a business traveller or modern family there are some USB outlets on the alarm clock by the bed. The rest of the room has several electrical outlets, so you must bring your charging blocks. The wifi signal is good for surfing and streaming and easy to connect to. My room was spacious and had a nook on the wall that had a closet as well as a Mini-fridge and coffee station. The room has enough space to roll out a yoga mat and enough space for general comfort. The bathrooms were clean and had a fan to remove steam and odours quickly. The grounds are typical for the hotel at the is level. The hotel comes with a pool and a fitness center. The fitness room has dated cardio equipment so please manage your expectations. You can still get a good workout in the fitness room as they have free weights, exercise balls and a bench. There are no rollers or mats in the fitness room. Please note as well that at the time of my visit, there were no disinfectant wipes. I told the front desk about this but the wipes had not been restocked when I went to breakfast. The hotel also has a lounge and lobby on the first floor for work and play. The breakfast is a hot and cold offering with pastries and some fruit. There is just enough variety to cater to most people's needs. Overall, it was a good stay in an older but clean Fairfield property and worth the value I paid for the night I was there.

Beautiful building, we wanted to to stay here but the place was fully booked.(next visit this place is where I want to stay) We had a lovely waitress that was just new but very experienced and had a great personality! We both ordered a steak and I exchanged the mashed potatoes for asparagus but received both. Can't get away from carbs in my life! The steak was amazing and melted in my mouth the potatoes were hard to stop eating because they were perfect. Had a salad and tried 2 dressing and the blue cheese had excellent taste. Had a blue Long Island which was on the drink menu as a KY drink. Drink was very good. We were in luck and shortly after we set down the pianist started playing. We talked to one of the owners on the way out and he thanked us for coming! What a great night and lovely experience we had at this establishment! Thanks Kentucky Grand!!

They also only have a restaurant and piano bar on Friday and Saturday despite what the website says. They have a non refundable policy which is very frustrating because it feels like they dropped their end of the deal. Now- why the four stars? The room was lovely! And huge, and super clean! So technically when booking a hotel that's what you need. But it was in no way the experience I was excited about for my trip. We checked out a day earlier. Oh yea and they only had two guys from the "kitchen" working there and they could have absolutely cared less about us being there. No eye contact, no help, no recommendations, not even a hello.
