This hotel has a so-so reputation. There's a nightclub annex which opens at the weekend and there are reports of trouble there, but I've stayed in the hotel for a week and seen no trouble at all.
The bar food is surprisingly good; i can particularly recommend the lasagne and the goats cheese tart. There's a pool table and some comfy seat, some TVs and music is played at a nice, background, level.
The location is a little odd. On one side you have the incessant drone of the very busy, ghost highway that is the A55, ploughing its way west through communities with a searing red tail, and on the other side you have bountiful country fields and fauna.
Overall, a decent place to stay if you're working locally, but i can't imagine going there on hols! read more
