The dentists are extremely good with small children and encourage them to take part in a family dental check up as soon as they are able to have a ride in the chair regardless of whether they have any teeth. This familiarises children with the dentist and the array of tools and prevents a visit to the the dentist from being a scary thing in later life. Of particular fascination are the portable cameras which enable the dentists to take pictures of individual teeth in colour and display a video image on the tv screen. They also have a range of colouring in materials and stickers as well as a lage collection of toys in the waiting room. They also provide a range of current magazines for a adults to read whilst they wait. They are a private practice and form part of the Denplan pre-payment programme. They no longer provide an NHS service.

If like me you struggled to find an NHS dentist, or were not happy with your current dentist then I…read morehighly recommend Lance Knight at Ultimate Spa I must admit I'm a little scared of the dentist and was not looking forward to my impending visit, but Lance was really approachable and promised any work needed would be taken one step at a time, when I was good and ready. As a private dentist I was bracing myself to be pushed into all kinds of treatments that I didnt really need, but I was happy to hear that my teeth were pretty much healthy, the only work he sugested was purly cosmetic, and it was entirely up to me what I chose to do. He also explained that they offer a payment plan, so if I decided to have any work done I wouldn't be lumped with a huge payment - bonus Note for the ladies: He is also quite good looking so you don't mind staring up his nostrils while he's examining your teeth! The only negative I would like to point out is that the surgery was in the middle of a refurbishment as they had recently moved premises, and the reception wasn't very appealing - I'm sure its looking tip top now though!

I hadn't been to a dentist for around 10 years due to me being a very nervous patient, but one of my wisdom teeth started to come through and I was in absolute agony. I made an appointment and went to see Dr Knight. He was brilliant. At my first appointment, I was so nervous I was shaking and couldn't even sit in the chair!!! He calmed me down, by explaining exactly what he was going to do before he did it and talking to me throughout the examination so I knew exactly what was happening at all times. Lance is a very patient person and is happy to talk through any fears or concerns you may have at any stage. He is always polite and never once have I felt that he has been impatient with me. I have had dentists in the past who have said they "need to get on with it as they do have other patients!" Lance would never say anything like that and just knowing that makes me less nervous as I know that Lance will allow me all the time I need without ever making me feel as though I am an inconvenience. Thanks to Lance and the team, I have far more confidence when visting the dentist and have recommended Dr Knight to several friends and family members. All of whom are very happy with the service and treatment they receive. Thanks Ultimate Smile Spa - you really do make me smile!

Whilst waiting for the bus to the airport, I lost my front tooth. I have dental implants on all front teeth, so with one missing I could easily dress up as a bad ass hooligan. Weirdly enough I wasn't too keen on that. It looked so bad I was actually not sure if I wanted to go or not, but I decided to go. After all it was a much needed holiday. When I arrived at the hostel, I spent a couple of hours trying to get a hold of a dentist. I asked in the reception at Hatters hostel (another story, another review), and one of the guys had a dentist at Rodney Street. He couldn't find it on the internet though, so we went for this one instead, a completely random decision I am very happy I made. The woman who picked up the phone at the dentist office was the sweetest ever, and she even called back when the kind of rude receptionist at the hostel hung up on her because he thought he had found a better deal. I got an appointment the very same day, and the dentist fixed my tooth in less than half an hour. She was sweet, considerate, and very understanding. Possibly the best dentist I've ever been to!!! She did a great job, and I would more than recommend this place!

Absolutely not,,,, their facilities were so. so, I got buggered around about appointments having been told to get there 45 mins. early I finally got ushered in aat 5':25 p.m. and met a condescending as "the man" who did not tell me anything new... His first offence was that he told me our wonderful family dentist who had refererd me, was great "because he knew his limitations" ....However in fairness it was valid. advice.. though It totally reaffirmed the exxpertise here in the USA for about half the cost.. but at least I checked it out. But no thanks... I spent an hour with him and coughed up two hundred quid in cash (he mentioned I was 3 quid short) I declined the written report because I did not want the spend another two hundred quid on a written report
