Not only have I received 22 emails in 22 days reminding me to make a payment on this horrible purchase experience. Was informed yesterday by the owner of a website I frequent and use there pinball forum that Jack was complaining about posts related to Jersey Jack and claimed he did nothing more than issue me a refund, Two sides to every story and needless to say the owner of this website is doing nothing to shut me up. At this point annoyed I tried to contact Jack to ask him for a truce. He again claimed no fault after going behind my back trying to shut me up on a website I enjoy using, a public forum. Freedom speech is a great thing in america and I will continue to use this. He also said I should delete all lies from yelp. Calling me a liar again and again made stupid comments about my own company. I am now blocking his emails and phone number. Will not be harassed further about this sale. I am now done with this company in so many ways other than the daily reminder to make a payment on a cancelled order. Instead of just saying sorry for being a jerk he tried to silence me from my right to speak. In a million years I will not put one of these machines in my home or support his company in any way shape or form. My advice steer far away from this company and do not fall for his used car salesman tactics and two year preorder program with zero guarantee of a finished game. Hopefully my daily reminders of this purchase will somehow magically stop but I have my doubts.

Anyone that has played Jersey Jack's Wizard of Oz Pinball machine has to be enthused about the…read moreadaptation, itself and also about the company's willingness to go above and beyond to include new technology in pinball machines. I have owned the WOZ machine since it's release and it is still heavily played in my household. This development and implementation of new ideas, and the commitment to producing a stellar game inevitably led to delays in production of their newest Hobbit machine, and the delay may have been in part responsible for the other reviewers unhappiness. Because the review predates the machines release, it cannot reflect the Hobbit game itself. I am also curious why a one star review never really addresses what the original issue and complaint was? My personal experience with the family and company at Jersey Jack has been remarkable from day one. From the fact that they answer the telephone each and every time I call, which I love, to the exceptional follow up of each sale or issue, I am absolutely a fan of both the product and the company. In 2013 I placed a deposit on a $7500 Hobbit LE machine with what I thought was a Jersey Jack Distributor. Forward to 2016 and that other company indicated that the machine which I had purchased was no longer $7500, the price on the invoice, but was instead $9500. Obviously this type of business practice does not warrant reward, and I quickly got on the phone with Jen at Jersey Jack, (who acknowledged that the price would have been honored by one of their distributors, in fact by anyone with any character or business acumen.) In fact, overhearing part of the conversation with Jen, the owner Jack took the time to get on the phone with me, listen to my predicament, and offer a solution. He promised a signed machine before Summer with an improved and correct price. He also offered to assist me if I had an issue retrieving my deposit. All of this was above and beyond what was necessary, yet was consistent with each of my interactions with Jersey Jack Pinball. I am looking forward to any machine that this company produces. Itasca Fest - Polish food at itasca fest 2013

Another year, another Itasca Fest…read more We live minutes from the Itasca border, so getting here is a breeze. And so is parking -- though you do have to be willing to walk a block or two. But downtown Itasca is lovely. I think most people, if they drove through this little village of 8,300 people, would not expect very big happenings. But Itasca Fest is pretty impressive for the size of the town. Free admission, and there's a huge carnival, a big tent set up with plenty of tables for noshing at and a stage with live entertainment, bingo, a rummage sale, educational events for the kids (including interacting with wild animals) and of course plenty of greasy food to go around. Last year, there was a super-cool NASA trailer set up where you could play with various gadgets and learn about life in a spaceship. Honestly, I enjoyed it as much as the kid with us did. Unfortunately, no NASA trailer this year. Still, four stars for a solidly good time nearby and on the cheap.

We started here on Sunday night, the last night of the fest. Bingo is run by the Lyons Club and they do a great job of keeping the natives restless while having some personality. The guy working our row was awesome, was so friendly. Cards are 3 for a dollar and my dreams were crushed when I saw they were the sliders and not the stamp kind of cards. I was really looking forward to having a big purple stamper to dot up my cards. Each round of Bingo could win somewhere between $50-$70 but alas, I didn't have any luck. The final round was a cover-all game and cards were $1 each. The jackpot for that final round was above the $200 mark. In order to entertain us before the final round (and possibly because it was the last night of the fest, we were able to get as many free drinks as we wanted before the last game). I spent about $13 total on an hour of Bingo, which I don't consider to be too much of a loss. Did I really just write about Bingo for a full paragraph? Back to the fest. They have about 8-10 vendors for food including local restaurants. Rides are plentiful here, I couldn't even guess how many. Upwards of a dozen? Games were also not scarce, and they had all the classic games. I ended up winning myself a stuffed monkey. It's what every 29 year old adult female needs. I can only compare Itasca fest to Bartlett fest or Naperville's Rib Fest. I would probably prefer Itasca fest over both because it has WAY more games and rides than Bartlett, and isn't as crowded as Rib Fest. It's a new summer tradition.

This was really a lot of fun. We got to hear two bands - the first "Wedding Band", was a pretty…read moregood cover band. They all wore t-shirt tuxedos (a little tacky), but their music was good. At 10 pm the headliner came out - they were called the "Cherry Poppin' Daddies" out of Oregon somewhere. The name put us off a little (no- a lot). Their music was what I would call "suggestive" but their style could be classified as swing. This was not what a Saturday night crowd of several thousands wanted to hear. Not sure why Palatine chose them and not a rock band. Needless to say, a lot of people left during their performance. Now, the festival itself was great - Palatine festivals always get a great turn out. There were the regular information booths from insurers, politicians and window replacement companies. The food tents represented the best of Palatine - I had Pad Thai from Siri Thai and a hamburger from Heybeck's. Both were outstanding. Finally, the beer garden was packed. We set up chairs by the stage, but trans-versed the crowds to get beer several times. All I can say is there was no way to get to the beer tent easily. Oh, it was a straight shot. But there were so many people and the music was so loud, in many cases you had to push your way through. The craziest thing was the way they cordoned off the beer garden. The main entry was about a 30 foot long metal plank on the south of the area. There was one other entry point to the east. The porta- potties were set up to the northwest of the beer garden which I think makes sense. But, there was no entry between the two. In order to go from one section to the other, you had to leave the beer garden from either the south or the east, then walk all of the way around until you got there. It was not convenient. But, overall, it was a really good street fest which I will definitely go to again next years. My hope is that the people who put it together take these two points into consideration. If they corrected these, it would be a 5 star experience.

Happy New Year 2026! My first review of this year. Cheers!…read more Church Street is a spacious, but intimate feeling brewery with a relaxed vibe, tucked away in an Industrial area of Itasca. The on-site parking lot is quite small, but other business lots and street parking is available nearby, especially during events. I tried a sample of their light pilsner and purchased a 12 ounce prickly pear sour. It had a unique flavor to it and wasn't too tart or sour, as I find some to be. I would like to return and try the cranberry sour and German, dry pilsner. Perhaps after "Dry January!" (Hello Mocktails). I did not order any food but I do plan to return and would like to try some of their menu items. I enjoyed sitting at the bar with others and our server was delightful. I have also had their wheat beers which are tasty. Inside the brewery there is a cozy feel and the singing cook in the kitchen was fun to listen to, as he had a nice voice. Check out their fun fan merch for sale too. Happy "Brew Year" all!

The associate at the front desk was super enthusiastic, friendly, and amazing. She guided us through the experience and how everything works. She set the tone by being very high energy, fun and helpful. The neat thing about this studio is that it's not just having your friends take photos of you in front of different backdrops.... It's actually having your friends be in the photos too!!! There is actual equipment such as a camera stand, enhanced lighting, and a clicker button provided to you which helps you take the photos. You can literally take as many photos as you want in an hour, and all these photos are taken with your own phone!! The backdrops are gorgeous, detailed and just so much fun. There was over 20 backdrops to choose from. We genuinely had as much fun exploring the different backdrops as we did taking the photos. We felt very safe in the studio. The associate wore a mask when she interacted with us and was constantly cleaning and sanitizing. All back drops were tidy and neat as can be. They even have changing rooms here!? No detail is overlooked The photos definitely speak for themselves and what a great value to get so many photos and have so much fun. Definitely recommend this as a fun afternoon date or activity with friends in the area.
